hihaiii hope im not overstepping, but ive seen you talk ambiently about your ocs every so often and i was wondering if youve ever talked about em before? consider this a free pass to infodump abt any or multiple, id love to hear about them :)

thank you!!!!!!!!!! youre all good lol, i love talking about them! i have been thinking about them SO much recently, i talk about them a lot and this blog is overdue for another oc post.

this is without any context for them, but theyre tagged if you wanna read through the tags or you can ask for context 👍

i finally got a motive for gem like. in general. descended upon me like gods light and i immediately ran to tell friends about it:

ive also realized my c127 guys are turning into like. fight against capitalism. and how fucked the world is. everyone is literally just trying to cope with the circumstances of the fucked up world theyre in in various ways

as per usual, owen and bella are making me explode a million times. me when the tragic siblings are tragic

specifically samara 1921 makes me so sad. ill probably analyze those lyrics later/in a reblog

oh and!!! vera and her relationship with her mom... they make me explode so so much. their song is rebirth, lyrics to that will be in a reblog too but ough man. her mom being a defeatist about it all, looking over her life and being made to join the index, going "well my life has gone terribly. i cant get out of here now. its over for me... but maybe you stand a chance." with vera

vera grew up very like. aware of her moms plight. she imparted the index's teachings onto her, all the while criticizing them. she was a like "do as i say, not as i do" person, and probably gave her harsh criticism and advice based on the index, then flipped to a gentle but melancholy, "theyre all wrong" type. vera became pretty cynical and like. "oh, i see how it works. i know the game" type. like. points to the npd. this is where it began

so many oc thoughts. meanwhile my splatoon ocs are sitting in the back of my heading being microwaved. 0 cohesive thoughts just them

5. Which of them has the worst luck?

sun is generally an unlucky person, and who i think of first, but really astari is super unlucky. lost her arm in her octarian service, ran away to be sanitized based on bits of propaganda/etc., and it failed. she was recruited by 8 instead to work for her, and shes still trying to figure out why her sanitization isn't working.

she isn't even immoral enough to like her job. but she's, at this point. worried as to whatever mystery is going on with her body/anatomy/etc., both in the partial sanitization and the failed parts of that. so... guess she's stuck!

9. Have any of them had to be saved from the brink of death? Were there any consequences after?

hmmm. vivian undoubtedly has gone through some shit. after the fight with luci, she was. thrown off the elevator platform (same one as the 8v3 battle). that probably resulted in some Bad injuries on her end, and a much longer stay than expected at the medical ward.

well, until she got out and all, but yknow :)

as for consequences, it was stressful and intensive for vital and astari. this was unprecedented and unexpected, and vivian was an experiment. a successful one. she had to be recovered and repaired.

15. To cap off, what kind of hurt/comfort scenarios do you put your ocs in?

tbh i dont tend to do much hurt and comfort, i usually lean just one or the other... really its usually amvs to my current fav songs lol. literally doing it rn (mae + dysgoreia by carbon monoxide). otherwise ive been thinking of breaker' screwed up situation a lot recently. as well as aurora and her whole "i need to always be prepared to possibly save the world, it sucks but this is the blessing i must stay with and upkeep" <- undiagnosed (c)ptsd

He leaned in to look, noticing the tufted growths sprouted in an irregular streak along her forearms and up under the short sleeves of her shabby t-shirt. Leaves crunched under his foot as he did and her head snapped up.

"You…!" she launched herself back from him. Scuttled backwards in the dirt until she met the wall of brambles behind her.

"What did you do!? What the fuck did you do to me?"

There was no trace of the scarlet bloodlust he'd seen in her searching eyes. They were the same clear blue as the slice of sky Rhyhorn's rampage had opened overhead, rimmed red from crying or sleeplessness. The same blue as her hair, an airy curtain that pooled in whorls around her like water paused mid-pour over her head. He took it all in, updating his mental model. Narrow shoulders drawn up to her ears. Soft, clawless hands. Impractical thong sandals on her dirty, unremarkable feet. A full-body tremble that reminded him of Persian on bath day.

Was this the creature he'd fooled himself into fearing?
