I've tried to run BG2 again (I need to finish my modded playthrough) and my laptop is in such a bad state it prectically lags BG2. BG2, which could be run on a determined microwave, on a laptop that has 8GB of RAM! It is heavily used and it has a lot of apps, but I've uninstalled everything I didn't use and cleaned the registry awhile ago. I suspected the antivirus, but the system manager shows it actually doesn't consume a lot of resources. It's not the disk space, since it's got plenty. It turns out it uses 100% of its disk all the time, and the main culprits seems to be.... *drum roll* system and Windows telemetry service! I now have to spend the evening elbows deep in frankly confusing system settings to find a way to turn the telemetry service off, and it may or may not improve the situation.

Once I finish this playthough, I'm definitely switching the laptop to Unix.

OKAY, FINALLY, THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!! Welcome, my Grills, Dills, and Nonbinary Eels, to my pride art event!

This is how its all gonna go down! Im going to be doing a pride drawing, of my Oc Ameryllis. Due to some of you wanting to help out in some way, I'll be accepting your OWN drawings of him.

This will go up untill the 18th, which gives you all about a week to submit them.

All references I have of Ameryllis will be posted below, along with text descriptions because my handwriting is shit lmao. You do NOT have to participate if you dont want to.

Also, drawing your own ocs with him is welcome! I dont care what your drawings are, as long as they involve my fruity child. Feel free to ask any questions if needed!!! Also, buckle up, this is a long post. Alrighty *cracks fingers one at a time* Here we go!

A small description of Ameryllis to help get into his character: He was orginally my dolortale metta. Hes long since became his own character(though i may still use him as his orginal role), and i have unfortunately lost his metta design.

Anywho, Ameryllis represents the stage of acceptance in the stages of grief, hence the flowers hes named after. He has a GREAT love for theater, and uses this to help the undergound cope. He might seem stuck up and arrogant at glance, but this isnt the case. Though its incredibly hard to crack open his shell and see the real him. At first, hes a little cold, and hardly ever smiles, this making him hard to read as his emotions are very subtle, though his smug and dramatic demeanor shines through anyhow. Once you get to know him better, you'll find him showing that ever so slight smile more often, and youll see that hes really a total sweetheart, even if he has trouble showing it.( TSUNDERE). Even so hes very much a bitch, one that takes pride in how he dresses, and knows how to appreciate himself. ENOUGH OF THAT, BACK TO THE REFFS!!!!

it always makes me laugh when i see people from other countries talking about how they dont like to knit using cotton because it doesn’t feel good or because it is splity or the fabric it produces is just too heavy, because being from brazil, and from a part of brazil that there is no winter, i only work with cotton and i have to tell you most of those things people complain it is just because they don’t know how to work with the material? i mean yes cotton is heavier than wool but it doesn’t have to be that heavy, and it can also be drapey and shit. you just need practice, and to understand the fiber

Is death of an alter possible? Not exactly. We all live in one body and we die when the body dies but some alters believe they can die in various ways:

an alter can die in head space (and even experience body issues due to that on the front) - in some systems it leads to dormancy of an alter, in others they just respawn

an alter can fall apart by either leaving something (their parts) behind that falls on other alters in the system or split new alters due to that - some systems believe it is a death of an alter - some alters after that can come back but they're different then - either it's a fusion of splits it created or just them being rebuilt from what the alter dropped (parts) so a split that is them but not exactly - it's hard to explain and it depends on an individual system

alter can go dormant which means they disappear for awhile from the system - they don't front and often don't appear in head space anywhere anyhow like they don't exist currently/they're not a part of the system now, this also can spread that alters traits/behaviors/trauma/roles (parts) on other alters or create splits but they can still come back themself - there are many kinds of dormancy - some will come back with extra pseudomemories (especially if during their departure new trauma appeared and it fits them and didn't create a new split instead)

alter can fuse with another - either agrees to that or it happens by accident/naturally - and creates another alter - some believe it's a death of that alter but some ask to not call it that way as then fusion is seen as a bad thing and not healing - to everyone healing can look differently though and system/alter has the right to believe something is death if they want to (are afraid of it or grieve another alter) but one has to believe we're parts of one big whole so the final fusion is basically all healed alters together - not really dead (this actually also depends on a system because some might heal and leave one alter with important parts instead of all fusing into a new one) - some doctors and systems refuse to fuse as they prefer to function as systems (some fusions can split again as brain which learned to split might never recover to the point it will stop dealing with new trauma via old ways)

Kontrola alterów/head space itp a choroba

Czy jest możliwe by ktoś stworzył altera świadomie? Kiedy ktoś już jest systemem są sposoby by alter został stworzony bardziej świadomie. Jest to trudne i wiele systemów nie ma takiej możliwości.

Jeśli ktoś zbyt dużo ogląda jakiegoś serialu/filmu czy czyta książkę może w końcu przez identyfikowanie się choćby z postacią go wytrącić i nie jest to w pełni świadome. Tak samo dzieje się gdy ktoś jest dzieckiem jeszcze i przez eskapizm i dysocjację introjectuje z otoczenia postaci fantastyczne np z bajek bo jego umysł uważa, że to by pomogło w jakiś sposób w sytuacji - ucieczką od rzeczywistości lub przez konkretne cechy, które występują u konkretnej postaci/osoby uznawane przez mózg za potrzebne. Nadal nie jest to jednak świadome mimo jakiejś tam chęci w człowieku.

Gatekeeperzy jednak mają możliwość "zrobienia" altera wedle potrzeb systemu i jest to już bardziej świadomy proces. Mogą przekazać mu konkretną funkcję, cechy bądź wspomnienia/traumę. Mimo to taka osobowość nie będzie idealnie od podstaw stworzona a jedynie jej podstawy określone i dalej będzie rozwijać się tak jak zwykły człowiek doświadczeniem poszukując własnego ja o ile nie jest jedynie fragmentem oczywiście. Konkretny alter też może oddzielić od siebie część jakąś (nie chodzi o naturalne czy przypadkowe bądź spowodowane traumą oddzielenie się kogoś) i kogoś stworzyć lecz mimo świadomości zazwyczaj nie ma kontroli nad wynikiem tego splitu tak samo jak gdy dwa (lub więcej) altery przechodzą fuzję - mogą zgodzić się na nią lub przejść ją naturalnie.

Świadome tworzenie alterów może być podstawą do fakeclaimingu szczególnie jeśli chodzi jedynie o estetykę, którą ktoś sobie chce udawać czy roleplay itp. Mimo to zdarzają się przypadki kiedy bardziej świadome splity powstają więc trzeba podchodzić do zjawiska indywidualnie pamiętając, że to choroba a więc nie da się w pełni kontrolować lecz ma jakieś określone możliwości jak choćby związane z funkcją (gatekeeper) co jednak jest niebezpiecznym/ryzykownym procesem.
