Some SPM thoughts

I mentioned in one of the latest post's tags that I was reminded of some SPM questions and theories. The part that brought them up again was this one (text on the picture by @mochilorddrakeinferno).

I'm pretty sure Count Bleck did say something along the lines of "kill me and all worlds will be restored" after he was defeated. Of course, there is a possibility he was lying or perhaps even he didn't know what exactly would happen afterward. Suppose we'll never know for sure.

I've also been thinking about the host getting obliterated by The Void and what exactly would happen to the affected worlds. My theory is that even if the worlds would get restored after the host dies, then there is a point beyond which the worlds can no longer be restored even if the host dies. I would imagine that if the host lets themself be destroyed then it would happen at the very last moment after all else is already gone. The host gets sucked in (but doesn't die yet) and a split second later The Void closes and disappears along with the host, therefore marks the fulfilment of the prophecy and end of all worlds. Just my theory, though.

That, however, raises another question - how exactly is the fate of the host determined? We know that with the Chaos Heart the wielder can create new universes (Dimentio's end goal). Meanwhile, Bleck's end goal seems to be to disappear. The question I have is what does the host have to do to survive (or not do to die).

Is the barrier created by the Chaos Heart powerful enough to protect the host from The Void?

If no, is there another magical barrier they can create? Do they have to wait in an already destroyed dimension to survive?

If yes, then how can this barrier be removed/broken (without using the Pure Hearts)? Can the host control the barrier and take it off if they so wished to? Can it be done at all?

I do remember the count at some point telling Nastasia that even he can't stop it anymore. Of course, we can't know for sure whether what he was saying was true but if it was true then why can't he stop it? If he could remove the barrier then he would become vulnerable again and could die, which would result in the Chaos Heart disapearing. Perhaps he knew about Dimentio's plan (but didn't want Nastasia to know) and figured that Dimentio would take the Chaos Heart for himself before it would disappear. Once again, just my thoughts.

If anyone made it this far then I'd really like to hear your theories and thoughts on this.

What if your presumedly dead sibling wasn’t dead and just became a final boss in a pit and her whole thing is replicating someone else’s form and also your coworker’s whole thing is replicating someone else’s form. (but shapeshifting this time) Would that like mess you up for a bit or…like…..???

do you think bowser and peach ever think at night about how in Super Paper Mario it implies that if they ever got together they'd be so toxic they end the universe Bowser: am i really that bad? i'm a good father, i don't treat my kingdom that badly (i think), i do everything to keep Peach happy- well, there's the kidnapping thing but- Peach: man, if i had Bowser's resources i would be such a fucked up tyrant. i would NOT be able to resist.

I forget if I've ever mentioned this before, but I always hear this voice in my head while writing for Dimentio:

I like to think he sounded more like Alex Beckham's take on Dimentio during the events of SPM, but now he's not showboating around (as much).

... Maybe they'd switch back to sounding more like Alex Beckham's take were they to ever meet with the others again? That's interesting to think about.

One of the most heart-wrenching things that've ever happened to me occurred while trying to research the Super Paper Mario art style.

"Ohh what a beautiful and interesting art style! It is very distinctive! I wonder if anyone else has tried or wanted to try breaking it down and replicating it?" Obliviously, I typed in Super Paper Mario Art Style into my search bar... only to find many people calling it ugly and saying they hate it.

This simply could not be... permanent damage was done to my artistic soul.

No joy? No whimsy in this world? No love of computer graphics? Of a certain era of clipart? Of the art that was born from the computer and is difficult to replicate without one? Of the art made when this was something new and fascinating? No love for something unique?

Super Paper Mario don't listen to all those haters I love your geometric art style influenced by what shapes are easily drawn on a computer and the smooth mechanical interpolation within your animations. I love you. Also the music is banger.

super paper mario's soundtrack is special because i get a lot of enjoyment out of imagining a room full of composers going 'hey you know what would kick ass' before proceeding to make a video game ost entirely out of old desktop computer noises and cartoon spring sound effects

sometimes i sit and think about what dimentios plan was with luigi if he succeeded. would he have kept him brainwashed and stayed fused with the chaos heart essentially being super dimentio for the rest of time?? would he have tossed him aside and tried to take control of the heart after he was finished using luigi to bring about the end of everything? would he have killed luigi then? kept him as an empty vessel for the chaos heart? once again super paper mario has got me fucked up
