Welcome to the Supernatural Best Episode per Season Polls!

I have been very heavily inspired by @spnepisodebracket and @spnmarchmadness so I wanted to do a little poll thing of my own. This is going to be the masterpost with links to all the polls for each season and will in the end have the list of the single most voted fro episode per season, for a total of 15 episodes. I also might do a loser bracket for worst episode, based on what gets the least votes, so keep an eye out for that.

The polling will work as follows:

All polls will be open for 24 hours

There will be a total of three rounds

Round 1 will consist of four polls per season, round 2 with two polls per season, and round 3 will be the final poll. Basically quarter finals, semi finals, and finals

Supernatural March Madness: Round 1, Match 25

6x15 Summary: dean and sam dimension hop to a world where spn is just a tv show. misha collins and eric kripke are killed.

10x14 Summary: cain is back! and killing his descendents. cas gets a lead while dean and sam convince crowley to bring them the first blade. they trick cain with some illusion magic via crowley and then dean and cain square off, as cain mocks him for his uh, friendship, with crowley and cas. dean takes down cain and gives the first blade to cas.

hey. a seeded spn episode tournament.

Just like in real march madness, 32 bids to the tournament will come from their record (the top rated 32 episodes on IMDB)

32 bids will be at large, determined by your votes & critical reception

For the at large bids, a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 episodes will be pulled from each season.

I’ll share the survey for at large bids shortly.

I’ll post the seeded bracket friday (3/17) and give ppl the weekend to lock in their predictions

tournament will begin monday (3/20). each match up will be a 24 hour poll, starting at 9AM CST.

top 32 will vote on 3/22 9AM CST, so we can start the sweet 16 with the actual basketball tournament on 3/23 at 6PM CST. then we’ll match pace with actual tournament.

Supernatural March Madness: Round 1, Match 26

4x16 Summary: heaven needs information from alastair so they call on dean's torturing skill. meanwhile, sam and ruby have their horny demon blood moment.

1x12 Summary: dean gets electrocuted while on a demon hunt. hes down for count until a faith healer comes by. turns out faith healer is working with a reaper.

Supernatural March Madness: Round 1, Match 21

11x20 Summary: lets go author father god stans. metatron gets teleported to a god bar where chuck reveals he's god! chuck and metatron edit chuck's latest books while sam and dean try to solve a case where amara has created a dark fog. sam gets a gulp of it, and is nearing death when the samulent activates and chuck returns to earth.

10x22 Summary: after charlies death, dean loses it big time baby. he gets arrested, crowley bails him out. sam is working with rowena to translate the demon tablet to save dean but needs to kill crowley to do so. he takes a shot but crowley is able to remove the devils trap bullet. dean goes on a lil killing spree which cas discovers. after a confrontation about the mark, cas says he'll watch dean destroy the world and dean beats cas. and uhhh. the dialated pupils of it all.

Supernatural March Madness: Round 1, Match 19

1x22 Summary: Its the season one finale baby! dean and sam are trying to track down john while meg taunts 'em that john is long dead. while exorcising meg, they learn john is in missouri and they hit the road. sam is dead set on killing yellow eyes, causing dean to compare sam and john. after rescuing john and wasting a bullet in the colt, dean realizes his dad wouln't be proud of him. his dad is possessed. they exorcise the demon but not before sam does NOT kill his dad. boom. car crash!

12x11 Summary: welcome to the crab pot. dean gets hit by a spell that slowly erases his memory. sam and rowena race against the clock to reverse the spell before dean forgets to breathe and die. dean is despeately clinging to his memory and ends up saving himself with a gun with a post it for witch killing bullets.

put dean in the crab pot!! add in the old bay. now thats good eats.

Supernatural March Madness: Round 1, Match 13

3x12 Summary: Bela sets up trap for the Winchester, luring them in with the Colt so that Henriksen could arrest them. While being held in the sherrif's office, demons arrive. Henriksen realizes the Winchesters were telling the truth and they team up to take down the demons.

1x06 Summary: Sam gets an email from a Stanford friend leading the boys to taking up a shapeshifter case. They chase the shifter through a string of murders, putting Dean on the FBI's most wanted list. They make it through the day, but Dean's declared dead. (note: this is not the shifter ep with the daddy's little blunt instrument monologue!!)

5x21 Summary: Bobby sells his soul to Crowley to locate Death, Adam says yes to Michael, Dean has pizza with Death, who will one day reap God.

13x06 Summary: Cas is alive, and the gang is going on a hunt in Dodge City. Cowboy cosplay ensues.

i actually have nothing to say abt this match up. except that EYE am a Dean as death endgame truther and i think going to orville peck concert would actually make dean worse.

Supernatural March Madness: Round 1, Match 6

5x10 Summary: Cas tracks down Crowley, a demon in possession of the colt. Jo, Sam, & Dean confront Crowley over the colt who gives it to them without a fight, bc he wants the devil dead as well. With a newly hatched plan, the harvelles & the winchesters head to carthage. Things go badly. Very badly.

14x14 Summary: Team's on a hunt for a gay gorgon, meanwhile Cas & Dean have a heart to heart about keeping Michael locked up. Surpise surprise, Michael does get out, but Jack is not the chicken or the snake, he's a Winchester. One with fully suped up powers- he nerfs Michael and swallows up his grace.

im trying to come up with stackednatural commentary for this match up & i guess both eps are cases where the winchesters are not the heros of the hour.

Supernatural March Madness: Round 1, Match 2

5x04 Summary: Dean is plucked out of his time and dumped at Camp Chitaqua, c. 2014. Croatoan has taken Kansas & Cas is no longer an angel. End!Dean is torturing, sleeping around, & sending his leaders to certain death! We always end up here! Stream DTA, sound of the summer.

6x20 Summary: Cas has made some choices. Most of them bad! Here's his side of the story. He didn't step on that fish. He watched Dean rake leaves. He teamed up with Crowley to open purgatory. He brought soulless!Sam into being. He ended up in a Portrait of a Lady on Fire ring of holy fire. You know how it is!

SUPERNATURAL MARCH MADNESS: Round 1, Match 1

5x22 Summary: Out of options, Sam agrees to be Lucifer's vessel & jump into the cage. MIchael possess Adam & Cas might be God! Anyway. Stream the Swan Song "I Know the End AMV"

11x14 Summary: Casifer time travels Dean to 1943 to retreive the hand of god. Meanwhile, Casifer reveals himsel to Sam. Lucifer almosts kills Sam & then Dean, but is thwarted by Cas and then Sam (respectively speaking). Dean swears he'll get Cas back. Something something submarines.

i think its fun we are starting with 2 Lucifer posession eps. neat!

Supernatural March Madness: Round 1, Match 16

3x11: it's tuesday. heat of the moment. dean chokes on a taco.

15x15: sam and dean head to atlantic city to talk to amara while cas and jack investigate paranormal goings on elsewhere. amara won't help trap chuck and realizes she failed in dimming dean's anger. jack is prepared to die to get the winchesters to forgive him for mary. cas is horrified at the prospect of watching his son die- he became a father.

another fun tonal juxtaposition moment!

4x18 Summary: dean and sam discover their lives have been chronicled in a book! enter chuck: profit of the lord.

7x17: cas isnt dead. hes just married!
