Certain sections of F1 media literally can’t breathe without denigrating Susie Wolff. When she got appointed managing director of F1A - it’s because of Toto. When F1A has success - it’s because she’s married to Toto and he’s influenced the other teams. When Toto is accused of something unethical - “did you know his wife works with the FIA?” [even though she’s not involved in this at all and is not accused of having leaked information]
Susie Wolff is a racing driver in her own right. She’s been a successful Team Principal in Formula E, and CEO of a racing team (one that was in direct competition with Mercedes might I add). She was a Formula 1 development driver and the first woman to drive in a Grand Prix weekend for more than 20 years.
She has a career that she’s earned on her own, completely separate from who she chose to marry, and the reduction of her to just “Toto’s wife” - including by other F1 Team Principals - is such blatant, ugly sexism.
“Imagine if Geri Horner was working in F2?” If Geri Horner had Susie’s resume I would love for her to be working in motorsports because we need more women in motorsports at all levels, including at the top?

i feel like people forget that it’s actually quite normal to have nuanced opinions about f1 drivers?
we are fans not pundits or journalists, we have no obligation to remain consistent or unbiased in any way. who cares if you like a certain driver unless they overtake your fav or dislike a certain driver until you read a good fic about them? none of it matters, let people have fun!!

[1] Monjayaki (もんじゃ焼き, often called simply "monja") is a type of Japanese pan-fried batter, popular in the Kantō region, similar to okonomiyaki, but using different liquid ingredients.
The ingredients in monjayaki are finely chopped and mixed into the batter before frying. Monjayaki batter has ingredients similar to okonomiyaki. However, additional dashi or water is added to the monjayaki batter mixture, making it runnier than okonomiyaki. The consistency of cooked monjayaki is comparable to melted cheese.
(before and after cooking)
[2] Penpengusa (ぺんぺん草), or 薺 (なずな nazuna). Known as shepherd's purse in English. It is one of the ingredients of the symbolic dish consumed in the Japanese spring-time festival, Nanakusa-no-sekku.
The Festival of Seven Herbs or Nanakusa no sekku (Japanese: 七草の節句) is the long-standing Japanese custom of eating seven-herb rice porridge (七草粥, nanakusa-gayu, lit. "7 Herbs Rice-Congee") on January 7 (Jinjitsu); one of the Gosekku.

this was just an observation my friend made a while ago but it got me thinkin' a little bit. Personally, I got over my aversion to sports by fencing in college. Coz it turns out I didn't hate sports. In fact, I think training and learning the rules and pushing myself to improve is super fun! That's the same stuff I like about video games. And despite being a life-long poindexter, all that physical activity felt GOOD, and it was nice to connect with folks.
What I hated about sports as a kiddo was the shame. I hated people acting like I ought to know this or that (despite being a know-nothing child). I hated being excluded and looked down upon for not being good. I despised the way the adults around me treated kids wrt sports. Also I couldn't see and had asthma and neither of these problems got treated until I was on my way out of high school (getting my first inhaler was one of the main reasons I was able to fence at all, in fact).
combat sports are great to me because they're all about that individual journey. I didn't have to worry about letting a team down who might yell at me later for my performance. It's just me and my own heart and my love for the game - THAT'S sports.

Kacy undercover mission but listen... GOLF CAMP. We all know Lucy comes from a rich family and imagine if she's the only one who can actually play golf??? To make matters worse, there's a LBTQIA+ golf union who's behind some schemes envolving military agents and NCIS has to take the case after one of them is found d*ad, check notes, only two lesbians in the team can do this trick and make it seem real

I thought you made some posts about jujutsu kaisen but I cannot for the Life of me find them (probably a spelling mistake) you don't have to but could you link back to those posts or reiterate what you thought of it. Its no problem if not, hope you have a wonderful day!
i did! my tag for it is, for some reason, #i will hunt gojo satoru for sport
my thoughts on it are pretty mixed tbh. there's parts of the premise i really like, but i feel like it's not very good at delivering on most of its stories and a lot of the characterization is either flat, annoying, or just weirdly mean-spirited. a lot of stuff gets over-explained but then still doesn't really make sense
i did consume most of it via the manga (i got to chapter 93, which is soon after Things happen to Gojo in the Shibuya arc), but over the holiday my sibling made me watch some of the newer episodes of the anime. i actually think the later part of the shibuya arc made some really ballsy decisions that completely overturned the status quo in a way that got me sort of excited, but again i don't really trust this series to deliver on its build up. but the anime does make the fights way better even if the explanation still make no sense. (the fights are... difficult to follow in the manga. sometimes moves in the anime also don't make sense/are hard to follow, but it's more forgivable when there's music and color to distract you LOL)
i started reading it because i was in an airport and wanted to read something new, and it was jjk, demon slayer, or chainsaw man. i picked jjk because my dash is just.... incredibly thirsty for gojo LMAO. he actually annoys me a lot but i have reblogged art of him and probably will again because it looks nice.
in case you were wondering, my favorite characters are sukuna and mahito. i like sukuna because "ancient malevolent force possessing a teenager" is just a trope i enjoy, and i like mahito because i like his weird little dudes!!!!! and also the story where he befriends a rando human teen and then fucks him over for no reason was my favorite one. we love a villain
