The Sims 1 Catalog Conversions
Hey guys, it's still a work in progress, but I threw together a Sims 1 conversion spreadsheet. It's still missing a lot at the moment, but I wanted to share it in case others were interested in viewing or contributing. I have very little experience with spreadsheets so it's pretty basic.

Ever found yourself wishing you had an easy reference for information on every professional football match Gary Neville has ever played in?
Ever wished you had access to even half of the thousands upon thousands of images of Gary Neville I have in my Collection?
Ever wondered how you can get into watching old games?
Wonder no more! I present to you...
The Gary Neville Match Database
This is the database I use to track which games of his I've watched and which I have links to recordings of, but I've simplified it a bit for general use/removed stuff that was specifically there just for my own point of reference.
I've also ADDED any images I have of each match to that match page (in HD, of course), along with the captions they came with on whatever stock image site I got them from.
I have put MONTHS of effort into perfecting this database, and recently I realised that I'm really quite proud of it, and want to share it with everyone else! So please enjoy, and drop me an ask if you have any questions, or just to let me know how you're getting on with it!
(Also, if you're planning on using this database I'd appreciate if you reblogged this post sort of as a way of acknowledging that/giving credit to my work?)

Help Choosing Online Spreadsheet Software?
I use spreadsheet software a lot, and sometimes I like to share the stuff I create. Which means using online software. I dislike Google Sheets for more than just being a Google product (copying data back and forth with other programs changes the formatting, they changed the search AGAIN so I don't currently know how to do it, etc).
Any advice about open source alternatives?
I'm leery of Open Office descendants because I STILL have Open Office documents from 2004 that I can't open in any program. But if people have good things to say about LibreOffice Calc (Online) I'm willing to try it out.
Collabora Online is the one I keep seeing in my research.
There's also Sheetster, OnlyOffice, Calligra Sheets, and many others.
I'm mostly making text databases, so ability to format and play with text is my priority.
I'd LOVE a program that let me transform the first character of cells (Excel will not let me add accents unless I type a dummy character before the one I'm going to transform.)
Searching and sorting need to work (I HATE YOU Google Sheets!)
I need to be able to link to it from here, people need to be able to see the file without creating an account, and it would also be nice if I could choose whether or not other people could edit it
Keeping text size, colour, and font when I copy/paste to or from Excel would be nice
For math, calculating percentages and averages would be nice. Mostly I'm just adding lists of numbers, but I've discovered that good percentage functions aren't a given

One day I will make a video on my Spreadsheet of Pokedexes (which by this point should really honestly be a legitimate database instead!)
I will also probably release a completely blanked out version for you to copy for yourselves -- like this post (and subscribe if you haven't!!) so I know that prioritizing a Spreadsheet for a video won't be COMPLETELY overlooked lol :P
More info about the spreadsheet:
It not only keeps track of EVERY form of EVERY First-Gen-Available-Caught-Pokemon, AND compares to a "Best* Case Scenario," but keeps track of a Go Living Dex of every form as well, AND a level 1 living dex, AND a representation of each main series game pokedex (one from every gen is visible while I have one of each game in hidden columns).
(*"Best" here meaning as close to untouched by humans as possible; such as, a Kadabra caught in the wild is "better" than an Abra caught and evolved to a Kadabra!)
The main living dex details how to get (or how I got) every pokemon that I consider "best," and shows examples of "unbest" pokemon like ones that originate from eggs without necessitating it, or those that have leveled outside of the available wild range (and therefore are confirmed to have had factors outside of their natural environment in the wild)
Yes, I like pretending I'm a Pokemon Biologist, okay?? :P
And, the Living 1 dex details how to evolve most pokemon that evolve by some sort of level up, as that precludes them from being able to be level 1 in under most circumstances (which I consider "possible" versus the "impossible" ones I find from Pokemon Go mostly). I plan to eventually add yet another several columns detailing exactly where to catch every single pokemon in every single generation (so pikachu would have like 10 columns here!)
The spreadsheet itself includes rows for EVERY POSSIBLE form of EVERY Pokemon, even if they aren't catchable or obtainable in any way whatsoever -- such as Rotom bike / ATM / Drone, Dark Stone and Light Stone, and AZ's Floette).
The idea here is in case there are future games where these pokemon become available, I'd like to 1) not only have the chance to catch and log in the spreadsheet without a ton of fuss, but ALSO 2) take, say, a gen 6 Yveltal and bring it to, say, LZA when it releases in a couple years, and change it to the Cocoon Forme before sending it back to HOME!!!!
But realistically probably just the first thing :P But you can see I have plans to keep a "best" form of many pokemon forms that are wholly unavailable!
Again, like this post (or the one in Youtube) if you want a video (or short I guess?) in this format! And subscribe too!!
