Why Springtrap Follows The Audio

Many people question why Springtrap aka William Afton is so easy to trick with the audio, to the point people make jokes about it. This is because these people miss over the key information that explains this in the game itself.

In the night 2 recording in Five Nights At Freddy's 3 it's explained that the Fredbear and Springbonnie animatronics are programmed to follow the sound of kids. Springtrap is no longer in suit mode but is in animatronic mode, caused by the spring lock failure in the Follow Me mini games. While William is possessing Springtrap the animatronic will still act upon it's programming when it hears the audio go off.

Springlock Failure

You are wearing a springlock suit of Spring Bonnie, one of the animatronics at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. You are performing on stage for a group of children, trying to make them happy and entertained. You feel a slight dampness on your forehead, as you sweat from the heat and the exertion. You ignore it, thinking it’s nothing to worry about.

You make a sudden movement, waving your arms and jumping around. You hear a loud click, followed by a sharp pain in your chest. You look down and see a metal rod sticking out of your heart. You gasp, feeling blood gushing out of your wound. You realize that one of the springlocks has snapped, and more are about to follow.

You try to scream, but no sound comes out. You feel more rods piercing through your body, tearing your flesh and organs. You feel your bones breaking, your nerves severing, your lungs collapsing. You feel your eyes popping out of their sockets, your ears bleeding, your tongue splitting. You feel your brain being crushed, your skull cracking, your spine snapping.

You are still alive, but barely. You are in agony, but you can’t move. You are trapped inside the suit, with no way out. You see the children staring at you, horrified and confused. You see the staff rushing towards you, trying to help you.

You wish you could die, but you can’t. You are stuck in a living hell, until the end.

Do we have to talk about springlocks? I think it's common knowledge at this point that most Fazbender employees experience a springlocking at least once in their life.

If I had to give it a rating, it would be: -1000/10, do not recommend. Pain, bleeding, and death are very likely.

Why The Springlocks Don't Go Off Again

There is an idea that people have spread around and believe. This idea is the idea that you can pour water on Springtrap to set off the spring locks.

The problem with this is Springtrap is not in suit mode anymore, he's in animatronic mode. The spring locks can only have been set off once.

Just helped my dad repair something from our ride on mower, a cylinder that has springlocks inside holding a metal rod.

Everything reminds me of Fnaf.

How did Coraline end in the springlock suit didn’t she know what happened to a certain man in purple when messed with the suit

She got into the suit because it looked JUST like her so she decided '' screw it, I'm gettin it...not like i'll look any different '' and when she got in she felt fine then Aggie sang the Neslie Crunch toon and...well Coraline accidentally set the Springlocks off causing horrible pain and a lot of regrets
