All Hail the Popcorn King Joe R. Lansdale Documentary

Coming to Austin!

We'll be kicking off All Hail The Popcorn King, The Joe Lansdale Documentary screening tour in Austin on August 17th at KillerCon with a Q& A about the film with Joe R Lansdale and filmmaker, Hansi Oppenheimer hosted by Brian Keene. Then we'll be premiering it on Sunday August 18th at the Alamo Draft House, Slaughter Lane, Austin 1-4 pm with Guest of Honor Joe R Lansdale and his family as well as many more notable guests.

Upcoming Events

We've been invited to screen at George R.R, Martin's Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe, NM on Saturday, October 5th with Joe. George will be hosting the event and Q & A. More details on tickets and the event TBA.

Just a quick update. I’ve chosen to dedicate my time to being a full time filmmaker. This impacts a few things; the hree upcoming Lansdale film screenings in NY, Naco and NECON will go on as planned. I'd like to do a LA screening but eill need help - a venue,, aplace to crash and contribtions to travel.

The DVDs WILL be delivered ASAP-although the authoring may take some time since I have to pay out of pocket for the work -unless I ca find a volunteer to author the DVD.

If anyone can offer any help-screenings, DVD authoring, promotion, artwork - you will be credited and rewarded with whatever merch I can send you (Maybe even a signed Lansdale book as long as they last)

We can really use your support to continue to screen and travel with the film and your merch purchases and contributions make that possible. I hope that now that I have time to devote to All Hail the Popcorn, the podcast and the upcoming Splatterpunk punk film with John Skipp,

I’ll do my best to get you the merch and film in as timely manner as possible and hope you'll be aptent and support my choice to focus on my work. It's never an easy choice to give up a day job -despite it being a crappy P/T minimum wage job.. I stayed there 7 years but the time has come to move on.

I realize that many creators hav struggled with this but we have one life and I choose to spend my later years making films.

I hope my supporters will understand and promote my work, however thye can.
