02 Appreciation Day 1

HELLO EVERYBODY, welcome to day first day of the challenge we worked so hard for everyone and to spread 02 love! This is an artblog (linked to the askblog mostly), so I can’t like stuff and i might not reblog other peeps’ answers/meta/posts unless i make a comment or is a reply to my posts. Sorry, i’ve ditched personal a long time ago. so uh, might like stuff with the askblog username ok...

DAY 1 - What do you like the most about your favorite 02 team child?

Kindness.

You know, a person once mistaken Daisuke’s crest with Ken’s, a long time ago on Squiby there was this Daisuke pet and its egg had Courage, Friendship and Kindness on it. Daisuke is kind and gentle despite being blunt and sometimes aggressive when speaking up his mind.

It’s the same kindness he shares with Wallace in Hurricane Touchdown, or with Natchan in Natsu e no Tobira/Door to the Summer. He’s soft and gentle. He cares about the others, it’s something which shows very much why he got the Digimental of Friendship.

I think what I love the most in him is just that he can forgive and give anyone a second chance. He’s not smarty (neither a dumb rock lol) but he has some emotional intelligence that i appreciate a lot.

He taught me so many things in the past years during all the rewatches I did, and this recent one made me notice... no, he did get development. And then Shiha opened my eyes to how to read said development -- pay attention to his interactions with the others in the group.

Daisuke’s soft heart could’ve forgiven Arukenimon & Mummymon, Black War Greymon and I’m sure he had forgiven Oikawa Yukio for anything the sad adult did while under Vamdemon’s control.

Daisuke’s “crests” -- Courage, Friendship and (for some instance) Miracles -- are developed through the story, mostly from the Kaiser final showdown to the next arc. But within those, there’s also so many scenes in which Daisuke shows his kind and gentle heart for everyone.

Remember, he was the one to “hear” Ken’s  Crest/heart asking to return to where it belonged. He was the softest and kindest of the kids towards Ken too, being the very first one to forgive and to try convince the others to call Ken to join their group.

I dunno what more to say, I just love Daisuke’s kindness so much.

who's your favorite ISAT character and why is it Loop

loop is my everything. since the veryvery beginning.

it all started when my buddy E told me this prior to ISAT's release...

and when i saw them i was like Oh... nonbinary swag like ME!!!!

and then i played the game and they stayed my favorite . i spoke to them so much it's a shock i didn't get that many loop secrets on my first try☠️

my first impression of loop was actually a lot different to how they actually are, for example i thought the rest of the gang knew who loop was and they were just like this ethereal, older, probably ageless friend of theirs

Ni rambling on private about crests & such. I think I will just quote myself & share here:

Ah, I'm looking into my memory and then I just realized... I don't agree that the 02 trio needed "their own unique crests" or that they're "replacing the older kids" while yeah I do have headcanons and design for some crests... i think about Qinglongmon's lines a lot about how the older six crests are somehow "something all kids have" and that hope and light are something "different" still, i also wish we had gotten more details about the "Kindness" crest why is there a ninth crest? Qinglongmon doesn't talk about this peculiar crest... some people mistake Kindness with Daisuke idk why i remember seeing a Daisuke Squiby pet with the Crest of Kindness on the "egg"

(Now some thoughts for this post)

Considering Ichijouji Ken’s Crest is “Kindness” and 02 arc for him is to find said kindness lost deep down in his heart... And “Kindness” itself is something rare to find...

Maybe... Kindness is on the same level of “difference” like Hope and Light?

The concept of Light in Adventure is about “Life” itself, according to the novel (I’m recently reading it though) and Qinglongmon’s talk with the team 02 brings out the concept of Hope being “never losing the Light within yourself”

Is Kindness something special? But if it is, why didn’t Ken be required in Adventure events? I read the dialogue/plot for all four Wonderswan games before (last year) as well, and I believe they never mentioned that Crest there, so I’m just wondering...

Wondering... And wondering...

Maybe the answer is, this crest was created after 1999 events. But for what purpose? Is there other three crests for Daisuke, Miyako and Iori? Maybe not. And I still think they didn’t need at all, despite I having my own HCs and even have designed crests for them.
