How do you choose the color, design, and cutie mark of an mlp fusion oc? I really liked Ditzy Doo and Twilight!

I don't do a perfect blend of the character's colors because that's a pretty common (but not bad) technique and I want my characters to stand out. I'll look at the two character's palettes and see what the dominant shades are- purple/blue for twilight, gray for ditzy, so for those two I pick a cooler palette with a more desaturated tone. You also don't have to think super literally- twilight has those bright pink and purple highlights, but the main thing you notice is not their color, but the fact that they exist and draw the eye. So for the fusion I gave her a toned down shade of ditzy's hair with bright highlights in colors that match her design as a callback to twilight c:

Both twilight and ditzy are known for being clumsy or not super focused on their appearance, so I gave Dizzy Spell messy hair and fetlocks- she'd rather focus on her studies than her hair!

Ephemera (twilightxrarity) on the other hand is very well-groomed. I took rarity's sense of style and combined it with twilight's need for neatness, so Ephemera is very clean-cut and orderly

I hope all that makes sense! As for the cutie marks, I love pun names, so they'll always correspond with that. ephemera I went a bit more literally with so she's got the stamps, but I gave dizzy spell a sparkle with magic swirl to represent her name

Wanted to draw one of my old characters for a touhou fangame idea i had, ended up tweaking her design a bit Her name is Rosario Barakiel, she was meant to be the extra stage boss which is why her design has a lot going on lol, but i think it's one of my favourite designs i've ever made Don't think i'll ever end up making something with the idea since i think its not that good, but i wanna use this character for something cause i actually like what i came up with for her a lot
