Polyamory In The Sims 4?!
Anyone who knows me personally knows that I have been a Sims lover since I was a wee child but specifically, the Sims 4. I've been playing it for YEARS and just recently downloaded my first mod which just so happens to be a Sims 4 essential. If you play the Sims 4, you know I'm talking about the MC Command Center.
BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT I AM HERE TO TALK ABOUT TODAY!! About a month ago, I discovered a mod that would allow polyamorous relationships in the Sims since the base game (at least up until now) didn't allow that.
HOWEVER, with the announcement and NEW TRAILER of the newest pack, "Lovestruck" coming out on JULY 25TH, THAT SEEMS TO BE CHANGING! I even have a screenshot from the OFFICIAL ARTICLE!
Tumblr media
"It's just a game, it's not even that serious" Yes. I am aware it is just a game. However, it's also a very popular game that many people (including myself) still play to this day despite it being almost 10 years old. It's a game made by a VERY BIG game company (Electronic Arts or EA for short) that knows what makes or breaks a game (as we've seen with EA's Star Wars Battlefront 2.)
Hopefully, this will start opening some eyes and get us all one step closer to normalizing and defeating the stigma against polyamory. Maybe I'm thinking too much about it. Maybe it will be different when the pack actually comes out.
But aside from that incredible step, there are definitely other things in this pack that I am looking forward to. WE HAVE A CANON DATING APP NOW!! SimDa, I love you and you've done your due diligence. BUT THE WAY THE SIMS 4 COMMUNITY HAS BEEN ASKING FOR A DATING APP FROM THIS DAMN COMPANY FOR SO LONG AND WE FINALLY GET IT?!
However, I am probably going to give it a while before I actually get the pack (after release of course) because there is this whole thing with bugs and patches that happens when the packs first come out and the game just doesn't run right. I want to give the pack a chance in its entirety so I'll probably let people complain first and wait for the bugs to fix to really give it a shot.
BUT AHHHHH, I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THESE NEW POSSIBILITIES! Definitely going to be sending this short essay to my partners later so AD, if you've made it this far in my little yap session, I love you both so much and once I get this pack, I'm so making us in the Sims <3
This is Luna, logging off!

Ubisoft taking a big risk with Star Wars Outlaws. Ubisoft is a famously pay-to-win bloated open world game company. Additionally, they’re jumping into a franchise known to push back against female main characters. The lack of any lightsaber combat in the announcement trailer could also be a turn-off for some Star Wars gamers. Additionally, they’re focusing on the Syndicate rather than the Empire or some other more popular enemy (this kind of choice backfired for Solo a Star Wars Story, though movie and game audiences tend to diverge). The open world concept has worked for the Star Wars Jedi series, but that was a metroidvania take and Ubisoft doesn’t usually go that route.
They’ve got a cute sidekick who looks like a furry space axolotl, which is a plus, but they included flight combat, which has historically been a minus for Star Wars games’ successes (see Star Wars Squadrons for the most recent example, or the space combat in Star Wars Battlefront 2).
I was a huge fan of the single-player campaign for Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017), which had a great female lead who was not a Jedi, but I know it faced a lot of backlash. So far, the only really successful Star Wars video games in many years have been the Star Wars Jedi series (no disrespect to them. They are fantastic and some of my favorite games of the last decade. They actually are that good) and, of course, Lego Star Wars.
I’m going to stick to just plain caution for this one. I don’t trust Ubisoft as a studio. They take pay-to-win to another level and, IMO, usually fail at the storytelling and world building aspects of their games. I love the idea of another Star Wars game and I love a non-Jedi focused game, too, but I’m not sure if this one is in the right hands. I wish them luck and hope they prove me wrong.

wowie zowie, there are a ton of new trailers!!!
there are a ton of new trailers for things im looking forward to this year that just dropped, here's my thoughts on them!!
star wars: the acolyte
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the name of the game here is: cautious optimism. im being cautiously optimistic about this one because im more excited about new stories & characters in the star wars series rather than a reliance on pre-existing characters. idk, after the boba fett show, the obi wan show, mando season 3, & the ahsoka show, ive been worried about the state of star wars as its presented in shows (out of those 4, ive only ever seen 2 of them, & the quality seems pretty consistent across the board)
maybe the series just needed new names & stories to change things up. and i was initially excited for this one after it was announced to be part of the high republic initiative, an era of star wars we havent really seen in the disney canon yet. in terms of upcoming star wars content, this & the skeleton crew are like the only stuff im cautiously anticipating because of the wholly new content they're presenting
as for this show in particular, idk. ive seen people make fun of this (purely because of the recent battlefront rereleases reputation currently), but idk. this seems interesting, it seems like this one is gonna be more action packed than the slow lightsaber duels we've had in the most recent shows. and i like seeing a whole bunch of jedi together, im glad lucasfilms are getting comfortable enough to put a bunch of jedi in a scene together since the prequel films (theyve been slowly building up to this since at least the order 66 grogu flashbacks in the mando)
really, we'll have to see if this ends up being good or not when episodes start dropping in june
alien: romulus
Tumblr media
speaking of classic 70s sci-fi series, ever since this and the tv show were announced, ive been looking forward to a new back-to-basics approach for alien!! after living through the prequel era of the 2010s, it kinda seems like the series was stuck in a weirdly creative rut?? idk, i havent actually sat through prometheus, and alien: covenant i thought was. OK. it was OK, serviceable.
but hearing that the next film would be an early reboot of the series set closer to our time, directed by fede alvarez of 2013's evil dead, i was a lil bit excited. even if i may not like 2013 evil dead, the kills in that were really gnarly & sick!! im ready to see him bring that energy into an alien film!!
and from the one minute teaser we got, it looks fun!! it looks like a fun alien movie
i liked the wave of facehuggers chasing people around
i also liked how Orange this film is. compared to like the first & second films (alien is a very Green film to me, & aliens is a very Blue film to me), i'm glad to see how Orange this film is. whenever i think of the 70s, i think of Orange, so im glad to see this film use Orange to its advantage
speaking of 70s, i like how this film accurately recaptures the exact set design of the original film. that exact feeling of claustrophobia in an old space trucker ship surrounded by an unknown lifeform that could kill you, its really cool!! this & isolation were like the only two alien media that accurately recaptured the original films unique set design
yeah, idk what else to say, this looks like a fun, freakier alien film than i ever expected!! i hope the writing quality will match up, but even if it doesnt, id be down to just watching some really freaky kills in space

There’s no official trailer for Battlefield 6 – and likely we won’t see one until 2021 at the earliest alongside a formal announcement of the upcoming shooter. Battlefield 6 trailer – is there any gameplay footage? Battlefield has been an innovator with the latter feature with past entries, and will likely blaze a similar trail here. Battlefield 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X – Will it be coming to new consoles?Įlectronic Arts and DICE have confirmed that Battlefield 6 is currently in development for next-generation consoles, which is why they’ve decided to release in 2021 once the PS5 and Xbox Series X are a more common sight in the home of gamers.ĭICE hopes to “target new innovation that will be enabled by next-gen platforms” in Battlefield 6, which likely involves increased performance, resolution and enhanced visual features such as ray tracing. It will likely be a while until we hear concrete details, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated. We could even see a more futuristic locale, although such major changes haven’t gone down well in the past with neighbouring franchises (here’s looking at you, Infinite Warfare ). It really is all to play for, although it would be a little awkward if it’s too similar to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. After taking us through World War 1 and 2, we wouldn’t be surprised if we’re taken to a modern setting or possibly even the Cold or Vietnam War.
Tumblr media
Where Battlefield 6 will take players remains a mystery, although we can make a few educated guesses based on what the last of a couple of entries depicted. “Bringing out Battlefield, where the new console base is fairly small, doesn’t really give justice to the potential of the title, and so that’s part of our driver in moving the title into fiscal 22,” EA said, adding that it hopes to “target new innovation that will be enabled by next-gen platforms.” Battlefield 6 setting – where will it take place? Our money is on it launching in the latter months of 2021, acting as a major blockbuster ahead of the Christmas season. Knowing this, expect a reveal of sorts in the coming months.īattlefield 6 release date – when is it coming out?Ī concrete release date for Battlefield 6 remains unconfirmed, although Electronic Arts has said it’s planned to launch in the company’s fiscal year for 2022 – which runs from April 2021 to March 2022. But we know it’s coming, with the next Need for Speed title being delayed to 2022 so Criterion can assist DICE with the ambitious shooter’s development. Now, this could certainly be a massive coincidence, but the location itself is also awfully specific and could lend itself rather well to the Battlefield franchise.Įlectronic Arts has been awfully quiet on the existence of Battlefield 6, with a formal reveal yet to take place beyond brief mentions in quarterly earnings calls. When combined, numbers found on a character model’s nose from a tech demo and the medallion of a legendary skin from Battlefield will lead to a single country: Kazakhstan. Battlefield YouTuber DANNYonPC (via GameSpot) suggested in a now-deleted Reddit post that the location was hidden in plain sight since EA Play 2020. Some strange teasers have emerged which potentially unveil one of the locations to be featured in Battlefield 6. Battlefield 6 – The sequel could take us to a whole new location So, Trusted Reviews has put together everything you need to know about Battlefield 6 including all the latest news, release date, gameplay and our own wishlist of dream features for the sequel.
Tumblr media
We know very little about the next entry thus far, but there’s plenty of things we’d love to see introduced in the upcoming blockbuster shooter. That being said, it remains an excellent time, and has only improved with major updates and the addition of Firestorm – DICE’s spin on battle royale. Electronic Arts and DICE are leaving Star Wars Battlefront 2 behind with its latest and final update, now gearing up to focus on a new-entry in the Battlefield franchise for release in 2021.īattlefield 5 was a competent yet unusual entry, not attracting the mainstream attention of its predecessor and fading into the background when compared to Call of Duty.

Will star wars eclipse be multiplayer
Tumblr media
#Will star wars eclipse be multiplayer full#
I may have enjoyed the aforementioned games more than twenty years ago, but today I would 100% prefer to have a third person experience, even if it’s at the cost of getting an arcade type of flying experience. It will happen automatically in rare moments from the story or in some cinematic intros or mid-action scenes in the multiplayer mode. You will not be able to switch from first-person to third-person perspective. Squadrons is also a form of a spiritual successor to the old classics TIE Fighter and X-Wing video games from the end of the twentieth century. Creative director Ian Frazier gave examples with the Poe’s flight scene from the beginning of The Last Jedi and the battles in Rogue One. Motive’s devs actually explain how they did draw expiration from scenes from the movies. This may be a game we didn’t expect, but as it turns out quite a few of us, the older gamers and Star Wars fans, were secretly hoping for it to come one day. Squadrons should feel more like a simulation, rather than an arcade. Motive has designed Squadrons to be quite different in both visuals and gameplay experience from the Starship Assault mode in Battlefrotn 2. It will cost $39.99 on release and aims to hit your nostalgia feelings hard. You pilot your ships from within the cockpit and will rarely get to see the outside of your ship during battle. Star Wars Squadrons vs Starfighter Assault – what will be differentįirst and foremost, Star Wars Squadrons is a first-person game. It will have a single player story campaign and a multiplayer mode. In brief, before we begin with the more interesting stuff: Star Wars Squadrons is a first-person Star Wars flying experience video game, available for PC, PS5 and Xbox One, including VR. In my first preview of Star Wars Squadron article I covered what this game is. The new gameplay trailer and the few interviews we got out of the developers during the show, reveal a lot more information about what exactly the game will be and how will it differ from Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Starfighter Assault! Unless the leaker had something else in mind, that would imply that the company behind some of the best-selling gaming titles conceptualized a game and started building it on the wrong gaming engine.EA Play 2020 is behind us now and the most notable presence at this year’s virtual format of the show was Motive’s upcoming Star Wars Squadrons. As we have previously stated, it’s highly unlikely for QD as a company to have gaming engine issues. But they’re also known for using Unreal Engine 5, which is capable of running strategy games, such as the upcoming Star Wars Eclipse. Quantic Dream is known for using a proprietary gaming engines - a technology they programmed specifically for their own projects. However, many of these issues sound challenging.
#Will star wars eclipse be multiplayer full#
So, many of these aforementioned problems might not be as serious as Quantic enters in full production of the game. The official channels, Quantic Dream primarily, have stated that the game is in the stage of very early development when most issues are expected and addressed, and not having a playable version of the game at that point isn’t really an issue. But again, these are just rumors and should be treated as such, regardless of the source. Henderson also mentioned that a multiplayer mode or component might be in the cards for Star Wars Eclipse, but people at Quantic are still having issues with figuring out how exactly it will function. But it could indicate that things have gotten off to a rockier start than originally anticipated. This isn’t indicative of anything, especially in the long run, considering that the game probably won’t release before 2023. As we previously mentioned, Star Wars Eclipse has been in development for 18 months, but according to Henderson, Quantic Dream still doesn’t have a playable version of the game internally. The problem lies in the fact that these games differ from Star Wars Eclipse in terms of gameplay, which the engine either can’t cope with or has issues running, thus requiring modification. Quantic Dream previously worked on fantastic titles, such as Detroit: Become Human and Beyond: Two Souls and the proprietary engine the company is using has been designed to work with those titles. He pointed out that the information should be taken as a rumor but went on to disclose that the main point of developmental issues with Eclipse, at this moment, might have something to do with the game’s engine. According to ComicBook, Tom Henderson, a reputable game industry insider, revealed that Quantic Dream might struggle with Star Wars Eclipse.

- Clone Commando’s look great. I especially love the fact that the blaster can change into a grenade launcher, a nice nod to Republic Commando (shame it doesn’t change into a sniper rifle). Now all they need are some skins (preferably from Republic Commando) and they’re set.
- Instant Action, finally. When we (my brother and myself) owned the original Star Wars Battlefront 2, it was on a PS2. We could never figure out how to connect it to the internet, so we just played Instant Action. When it comes to Battlefront 2, it’s the game mode I prefer.
- 4-player online co-op, aka that game mode that should’ve been in the FIRST EA Battlefront game. It also sounds like it’s incomplete, since he says that more options will be added in October.
- Felucia is added. The only hope I have for this map is that the toxin spores don’t effect the droids. In the original Battlefront 2, there were these vents that spewed toxic gas, but it only effected clone troopers. Droids could walk right through it and be totally fine. It would be a nice nod to the original game if they did something similar here......I doubt they’ll do it but one can hope.
It’s fun to watch Battlefront 2 go from a micro-transaction, rage educing mess of a game, to something that’s actually enjoyable. I’m actually excited to see future updates for this game, especially one that introduces “The Rise of Skywalker” content, mostly because it seems like the Disney Era stuff has been left in the dust. We’ve received new stuff for the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War, but nothing for the Disney Era and it’s about time that changed.

Why Didn’t Palpatine Use His Child?
Why Didn’t Palpatine Use His Child?
One of the biggest questions I had in Star Wars Rise of Skywalker, was why didn’t Palpatine groom his own child to be his successor? Rey Skywalker is the granddaughter of Palpatine and he spend so much effort trying to convert her to the dark side, so how did his own flesh and blood escape and more importantly why? Besides the Death Star, there should be nothing in the galaxy as important as…
