I just read stardust crusaders in your tags as starcrust dusters and had to think about it for like, 40 seconds to get it right.

I think what kinda saddens me is the fact that most JoJo fans get super pissy when an adaptation doesn’t respect 100% the original thing.

Like I can’t count the number of people who hated the StarCrust OVA because it didn’t follow exactly what the manga did. Like I get it you’re mad that your Iconicques Moment didn’t get in but you know what that is? An adaptation

Like on one hand I can get Araki getting really disappointed in the Phantom Blood movie because they reduced a major character (Speedwagon) to a very small role. It’s his work and he’s totally right: removing Speedwagon from the spotlight is an adaptation mistake.

But when, like, you alter how a fight goes or how scenes goes because it doesn’t translate well in an feature film length and/or action, and fans get vehemently angry i just

Movies don’t have to follow 100% a literacy work or a comic they adapt from. That would be copy paste (which is exactly what the JoJo anime did) and that wouldn’t be good.

These are the 3 lines that tell every story of discovery. 

These are the lines that tell you how I loved. 

 This is the story of how I came to remember a story I remembered wrongly. I remember you wrongly too fondly

Is that Wrong? 

in a time of fervor, And an endless stupor, Of mindlessness.

Frowning and pleading Flowering slowly Blooming outside the flow of our pens Spill out And dyed Like stars and their veins that explode In the sky I drew the whole galaxy on this page They branch out and their fingers Touch every part of you As if it they told the story of you. A story that is foretold Passed down orally, the parts that matter, It touches "This universe Your chest, and your hands The one that moves you and the one you move The one that hurts you and the other that hurts  The one that kills and the one that revives you The dirt that we came from and the dust that remade" All this in one look In a glance, in the silence, in the space and in the echo Drawn in permanence, ink Told in chapters, melodies. The one my memory warped as time threatened to take it away. I left it behind. It scabbed over And when we picked At the Pages It burns bright And real. And true. (I feel it too) wrist watches; The ones most aware of their own mortality - They are the ones who know how to live Those who Know the deepest of life's wells And have swam to the surface to tell us And beckon Consider this: To know you can return the earth just as fast as it can birth another To know your bodies are the "stuff of stars" and celestial wonders To know that every stranger you encounter can very much be the last time you see them To know you can love someone one day and have no recollection of what you felt at all the next To know you only ever have one opportunity until they slip from the clutches of time To know your weakness is a wrongly adjusted wrist watch To know that Sirius cannot hold a light to the people that touch your life in a way the very universes hands can never do To know your favorite song as time lapses becomes an echo when your hands start creaking To know exactly what you need at the moment, to abandon your wishes and trade them for sacrifices the next season To know that throwing yourself headlong is the only way to live in the truth - until the ticking runs out To know how to love in different ways, with different people, in different cities and climates and seasons To know your heart knows two different ways to incapacitate and make your breath hitch in your chest: indefinitely and permanently. To know acceptance of your own demise makes living a trembling, starcrusted, time sensitive dream that we all share in tandem To know, to know, to know Is to live
