Back in February, I updated my “If Star Fox Was a Shoujo Anime” illustration from last year but completely forgot to share it, whoops lol

I’ve made some substantial changes to the backstory of how these two would meet in my fan sequel to Star Fox Zero, as well as their character designs, so I wanted to reflect that in this drawing.

I had a dream last night where Nintendo rebooted Star Fox but rewrote the universe so Krystal was an actual alien from another system and not a fox, but the plot was almost exactly the same so Fox was still in love with her? And this is how she looked.

I guess the implication is that all Cerinians would've looked like this but Krystal's the last. I can't imagine she can actually 'speak' the same way Lylatians and Saurians do considering her mouth structure, but she can project her thoughts into others' minds and translate them to English, kinda like what she does early into SF Adventures? Her neck can move and bend in any direction I think, it's very flexible. The spine on her back is actually a (partially atrophied) third arm, and her tail is a third leg; neither are used as often because of her raptorial posture, but she could use them if she so desired.

Do you like her? Should I draw her more often? It'd be kinda funny if I drew Krystal like this like it was totally normal/canon lmao... but drawing Krystal normally is fun too!
