I drew these a while ago and forgot to post them... scenes from my dnd character Ven's backstory. she was nearly burned alive in sacrifice to an eldritch god, which decided to let her live and destroy the cult that did that instead. and now she's a warlock! she's having a great and normal time (lie)
I used a pose reference from @adorkastock for the second drawing here

New TTRPG character just dropped. He's from a homebrew alien species for a "Stars Without Number" campaign. I'm throwing in their anatomy chart sketch while I'm at it.

So, I’ve just about got through characters I’ve recently played (the ones with decent art, at least) so time for my real hobby: running games with endless amounts of moderately-relevant setting detail!
Sector Samarkand is a setting I’ve used in a Stars Without Number game (and may yet see use in a Blades In The Dark hack). Feudal future, much like Dune or the Locked Tomb, but with an aesthetic loosely taken from Central Asian sources (as well as whatever else captures my interest at the time). High tech, but an essentially pre-industrial setting.
This is a diagram showing a well-equipped retainer of one of the Cornovi houses. Armour and shield adapted from the pointmen who boarded starships, this equipment is heavy but incredibly protective.
This setting does have guns. They’re just not as cool.

Playing in multiple dnd campaigns at the same time is such a funny experience bc im in a group thats playing 2 different campaigns that switch every week and its hilarious when one week youre a stowaway space pirate whos maybe a few crayons short of a full box, mildly insane, a thief, all of which is part of a person in charge of a spacecrafts offensive gunnery and then the next your the partys cleric telling them to hey lets not do something dumb so someone doesn't die again.

🪐ANYWHERE BUT HERE🪐
The cast for my Stars Without Number campaign, based on the universe from Becky Chambers’ books! From left to right we have Gem: a young human hacker eager to see more of the world, Jenny: an older aeluon ex-military pilot with a deep love for food and spices, Lemon: a human programmer with a great interest in cybernetic enhancements, and Alex: a human doctor who feels strongly about medicinal drugs.
They all jumped at the opportunity to leave their home planet to do a job for The Company. However, the further they go the more they realize just how severely lacking their briefing was, and they find themselves caught up in political unrest…
Gem is played by @thesheepthewolf
Jenny is played by @.lian.1013
Lemon is played by @.frugi_lentesco
Alex is played by me!
And our wonderful GM is @.jnvamusic
