Choosing business names - The simplest task
Choosing business names might be the simplest task to begin, however, thinking too much can make it confusing and time consuming.
The easiest solution to business name selection  is to keep it self explanatory. Being too creative can lead to loss of potential customers.
Business Names with industry specific phrases are some of the best examples in such cases.
Self Explanatory brand names makes it easy for all the readers to understand the nature of your business and your offerings. This way whenever anyone has a requirement for your services or is willing to buy any of the products you offer, it will be easy for such potential customers to reach out to you.
Not only this, at the same time it makes it easy for everyone to remember and recall your brand whenever there is an hour of need.
Let’s just adopt the customer’s thought process in this case. Think of the phrase you would type on Google or any other search engine while in a requirement of your own services. There is your answer, the phrase you type in, is one of the ideal matches to be included in your brand name. It is going to make it self explanatory and easy to be memorized at the same time.
We wish you all the best for success!

It sounds simple but, a good #BrandName is easy to spell. But… a great brand name is really easy to spell. No matter if for #fintech, #ITTech, or a product for the bathroom, the perfect #StartUpName should have only one spelling option, in short there should be only one way to spell the name. For example, consider the pharmaceutical company name Pfizer. While the name is short in length, it is somewhat complicated to spell. #Entrepreneurs should consider if there’s more than one alternative in the spelling of a prospective company name, the more likely a firm is to confuse or lose customers. Don’t let your Brand Name work against you! https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs8fTw9lol7/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=t3y503i4tpzh

Things not to be done while choosing Startup Names
Avoid long business names: Long business names or Tag Lines can look fancy as your brand, however, can result in a negative impact when it comes to business growth. A simple understanding is that long and complicated Startup Names are no doubt difficult to be remembered and re-called and your prospect customers will end up moving to your competitors. At the same time, long brand names will also make it difficult for your SEO Outsourcing Company to get you rank high.
Avoid hurrying the Name Selection process: Brand name selection is once in a lifetime process and would need quite a few factors to be considered in the finalization. Hurrying up the process might lead to a miss of important factors to be taken care of. Making any change to the business name, might not be possible in future and if you still look at modifying the brand name, it would lead to a great loss in terms of all the previous marketing as well as promotion efforts.
Don’t forget the basic Vision and Mission: Before putting your foot forward, you should always be sure about your business mission. The name that you select for your startup should always be inline with your target. Let me share an example to make it easy for your to understand: If you get into a retailing business, I am sure your goal is simply to get more customers and sales, however, if you get into news or media or publication, initially your primary goal would be to get more readers for your write-ups, no matter they pay for the subscription or not. The understanding is simple, if you have more readers, you can still earn from the advertisements, if not the subscription. So, you should always be clear on the actual goal of your startup.

Five Things Nobody Told You About Business Names
In this edition we are going to cover top factors which you should consider while picking up a business name for your StartUp.
So, without wasting anytime, let’s start :)
1.) Keeping the name Short: It is advised to keep the StartUp Names short and meaningful. A short and meaningful business name is easy to be remembered and help in getting more visitors as they remember the organization easily by its name.
2.) Understanding the Audience: You should select the business name as per your target audience. If you follow this it will be easy to get more visitors to your portal. For Example: If you wish to target young crowd, it will be beneficial to have a creative and modern business name. At the same time, if you are targeting old age crowd, you can opt for a relatively Retro business name.
3.) Targeting your Industry: While opting for a business name, you should always consider the Industry you wish to work in. For Example: For a Tech firm, the name should be in relevance to technology. Like this the name itself will define the nature of your business and help in getting relevant crowd.
4.) Targeting a particular Region: If you wish to operate in a particular region, for example: a particular country, you can opt for a business name or online domain name extension for that particular region. So that the visitor clearly understands and knows before hand that you operate in that particular region or country. For Example: An organization operating or targeting the Australian Market should opt for a .com.au domain extension.
5.) Targeting your primary category of Products in the Business Name itself: This is common strategy majorly followed by all the service providers these days. In order to follow this, they simply include their online search keyword in their business domain name, so that the search engines such as Google highlight their website or online platform, whenever the target keyword is searched for. It helps in targeting potential buyers via online channel.
I am sure you are definitely going to benefit by following the above strategy.
Stay tuned for more such useful information to grow your business.

At @Brandings_ we advise all our clients to secure the dot-com #DomainName first. If you can’t procure the exact match domain for your #StartupName, we strongly advise move on or adopting another #BrandName where you can. #Branding Consider this, if you register any other #Domain Extension, such as, dot.net, dot.org, dot.TV or any of the other million available extensions and your competition owns the dot-com – you’ll be sending your customers to your competitor.

Blog: Playing the name game
Tumblr media
The naming process can be a long and arduous journey. When Zack (Founder/CEO) and Shane (Creative Director) started thinking seriously about an official name for their online action sports video community, they were careful to consider 7 factors:
- The name had to be short (# of letters) - It was spelled exactly how it sounded - The .com domain was available - The Twitter name was available - It had to have minimal competition on Google search - The domain was a reasonable price - The name had to be fresh and brand-able. It couldn’t already conjure up an image in someone’s head before seeing the site. Our first name was Checkit until we found out the domain was going to cost $40K. Then, we moved onto Flowpop. We liked the word “flow” because it is a word used throughout every single action/extreme sport. However, after enough research and thought we decided that it sounded too much like a teeny bopper magazine. Next, we were on the Fullclips name idea. Zack liked the double meaning of Fullclips [Zack is a huge 50 cent fan] - one side of it felt bad ass, like there was a gun with a full clip and the other half was a video website full of different video clips. Shane stressed that he didn’t want to brand something that was too straightforward and argued too many people would have a preconceived notion about the site. They both decided they would give it five days and if they couldn’t think of a new name it would stay Fullclips. Throughout that week we wrote down over a 100 words up on the whiteboard that we liked such as: tank, flow, bowl, etc. Shane was a big fan of the word “ish” because of the multiple meanings that it carries. At the time we were looking to hire a web developer and the first guy to apply for a job was named “Ish”. It was rather serendipitous so we put “ish” up on the board and Shane immediately yelled out, “ishBowl”. It met all of our qualifications listed above and there were a few very good brandable ideas right off the bat. Shane saved the day and continues to come up with great ways for us not fall into the trap of being average.

#Biztip - it is not necessary that your #ProductName be the same as your #StartupName. The exception is if your firm only offers the one product and you don’t ever plan on expanding. And, for a single product #business, we recommend that the product name, #startup name and the #DomainName all be identical. It’s a way of streamlining your operation for #success! https://www.instagram.com/p/CDmO4QYgOtj/?igshid=7p8yzdtyux8g

#EntrepreneurTip - The longer your #BusinessName, the greater the propensity for confusion, mix-ups and misspellings. Growth-driven #StartUps must have an active on-line web presence so something as simple as a customer making a typo or misspelling will likely send that buyer to a competitor’s website. Keep your #StartUpName short and interesting. #BrandNaming www.brandings.com/unique-business-names.php
