The approach of her warmth pulled him away from his book before her touch did. Kori placed her hands on him, steadying herself as she straddled his lap, and all Jason could do was welcome her.

He put the book away, teal eyes staring up to her as he got his hands on thigh and back. "Hi, princess..." and Jason let his fingers stroke her skin as he spoke. "Is everything alright?"

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ roy’s breathing was as labored as it would have been if he were to run ten miles without any breaks. his chest rising and falling like empires , his green eyes stared blankly at all the broken fragile items and tools scattered about his workshop. why he thought it would be a good idea to destroy his things and make a mess in his workshop , he couldn’t explain , after all , he wasn’t a child anymore. yet , when seeing red like he had been , that seemed like the best option in that moment. however , now , he had felt ashamed of his actions.

Let’s start with the truth -- He missed the Titans, he missed his old team.. he missed the adventures they would have.  Mostly of all, he missed Kory. Of course, he always had her on speed dial, and could always ring her at anytime. BUT- that wasn’t the same as working with her, so when the perfect opportunity came up.. He jumped at the chance. He could have simply called up his old mentor, or could have gotten Hal Jordan’s help with the issue at hand. In truth, maybe he should have, but where was the fun in doing what he should have done? “ Come on.. answer.. answer .. “ He begged to himself, waiting for the voice to come through the phone, his hand slightly squeezing it, getting a bit impatient.

IT  SEEMS  NO  MATTER  HOW  CIVIL  HE  IS,  FIGHTS  FOLLOW  HIM.  at  that  point,  he  thinks  that  most  humans  just  have  a natural  reaction  that  makes  them  recognize  mutants  through  and through.  no  matter  how  small  the  bar  is  and  isolated,  they seem  to  know.  he  ignores  most  of  the  time;  as long  as  he  pays  and  gives  money,  the  bartender  seems  to  not care.  but  other  people  do,  of  course.  there  he  is,  after being  tossed  and  turned  around,  letting  out  the  famous  rage that  is  characteristic  of  him.  fighting  is  easy,  specially when  someone  comes  at  him  with  a  knife  and  cut  through  the skin  but  skin  heals  right  away.  and  then  he  is  pissed  of.  (  he  will  never  admit  the  rush  he  feels  when  he  sees  them scared,  as  metal  cuts  through  his  skin  and  claws  come  out  ).  rugged  and  growling  deep  in  his  throat,  he  looks  around  as he  traps  someone  to  the  wall.  “could’ve  used  a  hand  out here,  you  know.“  he  finally  speaks,  eyes  looking  back  at  the woman.  starfire.  truly,  a  name  that  fits.  like  wolverine.

Kate had been stressed over Koriand’r recovering since bringing her back to the tower, unable to sleep or eat properly, and had stayed at her side waiting for her to wake up. her exhaustion was noticeable, hair wild and eyes red from sleep depravation. not a state she wanted Kory to witness her in, alas she hardly cared in this moment.

     “ are you still in pain? ” she asked and retracted her hand inches before her fingers made contact with skin, “ it’s been a few days -- a week actually. do you remember ... anything about what happened?  ”
