Stranger things xThe umbrella Academy
okay hear me out what do  you think abou...(drum roll please)...
Number Five and Dolores hargreves...
as Steve Harrington parents.
just thing about the chaos that would ocur once you add the hargreves siblings to the mix... like after season 1 they could be just weirded out about why steve was hurt and needed granma help whit his face and while the sibling are ready to fight  steve is like: “is nothing dont worry mom, dad it was just afight whit a classmate please put the gun down...”
the caos would explode after season 2 because the hargreves now are in alert and they dont like things that can husrt a member of their family..
Now imagine the reaction of the hargrees at the group of children steve has adoted as his and the reaction of the children to the hargreves being steves family.
next im going to proced and mark traits that steve had the fortune or misfortun to heredate of his family:
-His beuty routine and fashion stile is totaly thanks to his mon, aun Allison and uncle Klauss, because there is no way that he heredate his sence of stile of five that is happy using wathever because nobody cares about fashion in the apocalipse.
-Uncle Diego tried to teach him to flirt but surprisinly it was Five and Aunt Vanya that gave him the best advaice about relashionsips
-All he knows about neing a good baibysiter/mom-friend/Single-mon/Mom he learded it from grandma grace (we dont talk about Granpather Reginald)
-Uncle luther was the one to play sports whit him and teah him about music
-He loves his Uncle Klauss,Ben and Dave even if he only can see uncle klaus (i dont know if is bether for dave to be death or alive)
-Surpricinly his abiity whit the bat is all Dolores (nobody knows wy but dolores is terrifing when she has a bat in her hands and steve is just like her)
  - And obiusly his protective side is all Five

Fans outside the stadium, the official Jordan-Hare time is...
We’re 29 days to kickoff between Auburn and Georgia Southern! Yesterday we remembered some of the great games in which Auburn scored 30 points, so today we’ll look at the singular memorable recent game in which Auburn scored 29 in a winning effort. Additionally, we’ll look back at 29 years ago, which was the Tigers’ second-straight SEC Championship in 1988.
2000 - Auburn 29, Georgia 26
The year before Mark Richt stepped in to lead things in Athens, Auburn welcome Georgia to the Plains for what would be Jim Donnan’s last go-around in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. On the back of junior college transfer Rudi Johnson at tailback, the Tigers had enjoyed pretty solid success in Tommy Tuberville’s second season. Johnson was named SEC Player of the Year for his performance that season as he rumbled for more than 1,500 yards on the ground. As a team, Auburn entered this game at 7-2 with a close loss to Mississippi State and a humbling defeat to Steve Spurrier’s Florida bunch down in Gainesville.
Georgia, meanwhile, also had a pretty good thing going in 2000 as they ran out to a 6-2 record, falling only at South Carolina in the second game of the year, and then to Florida the week before heading to Auburn. Jim Donnan was facing pressure for his inability to turn Georgia into the power it once was under Vince Dooley, and also for his team’s struggles against Georgia Tech.
Auburn had won five of the last seven against Georgia, and had roared out to a 31-0 halftime lead in Athens the previous year (remember Ronney Daniels dunking on the crossbar?), but Georgia seemed determined to issue a correction at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Ben Leard threw an early pick-six, and two Billy Bennett field gave Georgia a 13-0 lead, and Auburn just only got on the board as the first half ended on a 48-yard Damon Duval field goal. It was enough to open the floodgates, however, as the Tigers put up 23 straight points and took a 23-13 lead deep into the final period. Georgia pulled within three points on a touchdown pass to Terrance Edwards and finally tied things up in the final minute on another Bennett field goal. We went to overtime.
In the extra period, Georgia tacked on the fourth field goal from Bennett, which opened the door for Auburn to take the win if they could blast into the end zone in the bottom of the first overtime.
Auburn took the victory 29-26, notching their eighth victory of the year. A week later they’d shut out Alabama 9-0 to finish Tommy Tuberville’s second season at 9-2. Sadly, the Tigers would drop two straight to finish the year — a 28-6 loss to Florida in the SEC Championship and a 31-28 defeat to Michigan in the Citrus Bowl.
29 Years Ago - 1988
Coming off of his second SEC Championship at Auburn, Pat Dye brought a stingy defense and a seasoned corps of offensive veterans into 1988. Auburn rattled off four victories in a row to start the year, with the closest game being a 20-10 result over Kentucky in the season opener. Other than that, the closest contest was a 47-21 win over North Carolina. Then disaster struck in the famous Earthquake Game in Baton Rouge, with LSU prevailing 7-6 on a last-second touchdown pass to send Auburn into the loss column for the first time all year.
After that, Auburn took out its frustration on the opposition, blanking Akron, Mississippi State, and Florida over the next three games. They’d finish the year with wins over Georgia and Alabama (for the third straight season), and earn a Sugar Bowl berth by way of winning the SEC Championship.
This was a season of what-ifs, however. If Auburn had beaten LSU and finished undefeated, they would’ve been in the mix with Lou Holtz’s Notre Dame team for a claim to the national championship.
Either way it was a successful year, as Auburn defensive tackle Tracy Rocker became the first SEC player to win the Lombardi and Outland Trophies in the same year. Rocker finished his career with 21 sacks and more than 350 tackles from the middle of the defensive line, and earned two-time All-American status (consensus in 1988).
Next Up: 28 Days Until Kickoff (I wonder what game we’ll feature then...)

Steve Leard: Back at UWIC to give my first lecture
Notes are taken from DesignYak, written by ex-UWIC student Steve Leard. He was kind enough to upload his presentation text onto his website. Thanks Steve! Your lecture was exceptionally helpful and enlightening.
---
I went back to my old University yesterday to give my first ever lecture to the current third year Graphic Communication students. It was great to see the place again and my old tutors, it really felt like I hadn't been away. Uni seems so long ago sometimes. I was asked to give my experiences since graduating three and a half years ago, and what I would advise to the students of today and to show some design I've been working on during that time.
I just thought I would summarise a couple of the points I made during my presentation for anyone else who might want a bit of advice/encouragement...
Freelance — A good first chance to work through a project from start to finish. — A chance to work with a client for one of the first times. — Builds up your portfolio, makes it more rounded and not just full of student work. — You can make a bit of money.
Personal projects — Something I would encourage every designer to do. — Can lead to commercial projects.  — Shows that you're interested and engaged.
Website/Blog — Important for prospective employers to be able to view your work quickly. — Blogging again shows that you're interested and engaged.   — Connects you to the design community.
Some website and blogs available to use... Blogspot Cargo Collective Tumblr Flickr Wordpress Typepad Indexhibit
Viewing blogs also connects you with the design community and good for a bit of inspiration... FFFFOUND! Designspiration Creative Review FormFiftyFive It's Nice That Design Observer Swiss Miss Noisy Decent Graphics Design Weak September Industry
twitter — If used correctly, can be really useful. — Most design agencies now on twitter.   — Drive traffic to your website/blog. — Find out about jobs/placements/opportunities.
Some people to follow... Sagmeister D&AD Love Creative Site Inspire Asbury and Asbury Erik Spiekermann Mr Bingo Steve Price Inkygoodness Nation Studio Pentagram Gareth Dunt Adrian Shaughnessy
Work Experience — Experience the running of an agency. — A chance to show potential employers what you can do.
Both of my jobs in my three and a half years in the industry thus far have happened due to work experience or through working with an agency through a university project. Meeting people is the key. Work experience is one of the ways to meet people in the design industry.
Should I work for free? This obviously depends on your circumstances. In principal I'm against working for free, but I think when it comes to work experience, the experience itself is worth much more in the long run. I would say however that work experience placements tend to be short term. Unpaid placements that stretch for long periods of time, I would not advise working for free. Do you want to work for someone who would allow you to work for free for one/two/three months plus?
Summary...
Don't restrict yourself — Keep learning and adding to your skills. — Cardiff, Bristol, Manchester, London, abroad? If your circumstances allow, why restrict yourself when it comes to finding jobs, be ambitious.
Be engaged — Show potential employers you are engaged, interested, enthusiastic. — Blogging, tweeting, personal projects, freelance work will show this. — The design industry likes people who are also interested in things outside of design.
MEET PEOPLE!
Keep learning — Things are always changing, respond to those changes.
Design agencies are changing — Young designers can lead that change. — Agencies focusing more on branding, how does social media influence branding? — Advancements in web/digital/new media/iPhone & iPad apps — Even branching out into film/editing/animation
Why not add to your skills? It will make you more employable.
Everyone should own a copy of How to be a graphic designer without losing your soul, by Adrian Shaughnessy. It will be one of the best books you'll ever read, and will help you when you've graduated. Buy it.
...
Nothing ground breaking, and a lot of stuff students are already told, but I think you can always hear it at least once more. Hopefully I'll go back next year, with another year under my belt.
