Okay, so I wrote this in my notes app a few days ago, right as I was about to drift off to sleep, so sorry if it is incoherent, or poorly worded...

Mike's interaction with El after they start dating feels super unnatural, and that's probably on purpose. All the little jokes he makes seem super forced because he's trying to impress El. He's trying to be a different person that she would like. All their scenes seem super awkward because Mike is trying so hard to make her laugh, to make her see him a certain way, to gain her approval. That can't be an accident because they could have just reshot those scenes.

Whereas, the scenes between Mike and Will seem natural. They're honest with each other. They don't have to try hard to make each other laugh. They don't try to be different people around each other because they feel comfortable as themselves (although there are definitely some scenes with each other where they aren't being themselves, for example, the van scene where Will is literally pretending to be El).

Okay, so then I wrote in my notes:

Anyway, I'm sure many people have thought about/posted about this before, so I'm just further reiterating it. Byler is endgame, everyone. There's no way it isn't.

the fact that Gaten has confirmed that season 5 starts with the season 4 aftermath, combined with the milkvan scene filmed in January being very non coupley, I’m pretty confident that the milkvan breakup has already been filmed. It makes so much more sense than them staying in this loveless relationship for the time jump
