technoblade is what got me back into minecraft. like, at all. for a little bit, i’d been trying to play again, but it had been for a summer camp i was teaching for kids, and then i put it down again. i hadn’t thought about the fact there would still be minecraft youtubers out there at that point. it had been years. and it would be years again until i was first recommended manhunt videos, because i was into speedruns at the time, and the algorithm liked those videos. but those aren’t what got me back into minecraft. no, those alone wouldn’t have been enough; they would have gone on the shelf in my brain of other idle videos to watch while i was doing other things.

but see, then i was recommended the potato war.

the potato war is some of the best content on youtube, man. all of technoblade’s stuff is fantastic, and i’ll be watching it all again and again when i need a laugh. taking over the world as the antarctic empire is another personal favorite of mine, if you want another recommendation, as is that last mcm where they all just logged out and played hypixel games after the event broke. but the potato wars... those are peak minecraft youtube content, and peak youtube content in general. the humor is on point. each successive video only escalates further. he’s consistently so funny - for someone people liked to call awkward and monotone, i’ve barely known any other creator who was so charismatic, all the time. he sucked me in. i subscribed. a few days later, i was recommended a stream titled "preparing for the festival”. i had no idea what was happening. i was hooked.

the next day, i watched the red festival live. what an introduction, right?

there was no going back after that. i watched technoblade insistently. at the time, i had no idea how to use twitch, so technoblade was my main window into streaming. chat intimidated me too much. i was scared of talking to people because i thought it would be “cringe”, watching this kid thing like minecraft. i was an adult with a stable job (and a friend group known for kicking people out who they considered “bad” in some way, which in hindsight wasn’t great for me, but that’s an entirely different story). still, i needed to get my creative energy out somehow. i hadn’t written anything i actually finished in probably two years. my last attempts to write something i could finish ended poorly, in pieces i couldn’t even bring myself to like much anymore. but i’d always loved writing. i’d always wanted to do more of it. even if i couldn’t get anything out... would it hurt, to try to write something for this thing i had fallen in love with?

yeah, so black box was the first completed work i had written in two years. and then i waded into a community where i found friends who were kinder to me than the ones i’d had before, who i wasn’t afraid would hate me for slights i didn’t know i had committed. and i found this thing i loved, and i managed to write again, to be creative again, and i found it because of technoblade. he pulled me back in here. he made me find people again, he helped me get a community that made me happy instead of stressing out, and he helped me laugh. he helped me laugh a lot. nothing quite does it like a techno video.

i don’t know if he knows how many people he did that for. a lot, i think, judging by my dash, and by twitter, and by everything else. he touched so, so many people, so many people he never even spoke to. i think maybe he knew. i hope he did.

i wouldn’t be as happy as i am without technoblade. i wouldn’t be creative again, i wouldn’t be writing again, i wouldn’t be me as much without him. maybe this is a little sappy, or maybe it’s a little self-centered. i don’t know. i just want to say that i maintain that, at heart, i’m a technoblade main. and i always will be.

Kenma’s voice crumples like a piece of paper, despite trying to be serious and collected. His eyes flick over his screen wildly, in an attempt to keep himself on high alert for anything that may try to jump out at him. He’s curled in a blanket, it’s dark in his set up, and he hates his goddamned chat laughing at his pain because if there’s one thing Kodzuken doesn’t do?

It’s play horror games.

He cannot stand them. There are minimal horror games he’ll play, though he hides it under ‘there’s no skill,’ or ‘it’s all cheap jump scares’ and all in all it’s just something he doesn’t waste his time on.

But Kenma is nothing if not a man of his word, and when his fans started calling him out for reaching his milestone, to keep his promise to play a horror game.

Assholes.

“You guys know I don’t like this shit,” he grumbles, his lips in an actual pout that he knows will be on fan pages for months to come. “Normal fans don’t do this to their creators.”

“Kuro, I’ll spit in your pancakes next time you come over, I swear to god,” he grumbles, the hairs on the back of his neck rising at the feeling of someone watching him. He prepares himself for a scare, “shouldn’t you be at work or something-“

“Boo!” A tiny voice yells, clapping its hands against Kenma’s headphones to make him shriek and jump- which he does-, and when he turns to look at the culprit, he clutches his chest as he sees you, holding his daughter close to your chest, her tiny giggles being emphasized by your cruel cackles.

And he wants to be mad, he wants to be absolutely furious, he wants to end the stream and completely scold you both and his chat for giving him a stroke-

But he can’t. Not with how happy his baby looks from having successfully scared him, not how you look with mischief in your eyes that fill with mirthful tears.

He’s wrapped so far around each of your fingers, and he hates that you exploit that.

“You- you should’ve seen the look on your face,” you wheeze, and he pokes his tongue in his cheek to try and ward off the smirk that so desperately wants to splay on his face.

“One second chat,” he sighs, turning back to you and your tiny human. “I have to tickle the shit out of my wife and kid.”

“Quarter!” His daughter gasps, but you’re quick to shush her as you back out of the room slowly, Kenma following you with each step.

“You’re so dead,” he chuckles.

“Kenma, I’m holding our child, I can’t run, be merciful- AH!” You scream, his large arm wrapping around your waist and pulling you into a bear hug, but not tight enough so you can quickly plant your kid on her feet, “baby go hide! Daddy’s gonna get you!”

She squeal and quickly toddles away, dashing into her playroom, and Kenma sighs as he gives you a kiss. “I’ll deal with your ass, later,” he snickers, smacking you on the butt to hear you squeak before letting you go.

“Go put the Pokémon emulator on my monitor, I’ve got a kid to punish,” he says, hands digging into his hoodie pockets as he makes his way into the playroom. You chuckle and obey, knowing he’s never going to trust either of you again when he plays a scary game.

But you’ll be ready the second he does.

hey so i just walked out of my shitty job

i should be fine monetarily at least for a few weeks (thankfully i'm not paying rent, only thing i rly worry about right now are student loans) but if you wanna donate just in case please feel free to tip me, any amount is fine (and honestly there are other people like @non-binary-star-system who deserve it way more right now anyways)

But! That does mean I will be streaming more (hopefully 3 times a week, if enough people show interest maybe even once a day until I get another job)! I ship what I want & that's the end of it. If you have a problem with that or genderbending characters you are free to leave. I don't need to be loved by strangers on the internet. I like to keep my dash & blog tight-knit but I'm not against meeting new people if we vibe.

About the mun: My name is Wolf. I am 25+ she/her/they/them. I have a learning disorder, dyscalculia & dyslexia. Please be patient with me. I tend to switch between past & present tense & write in a stream of consciousness. Spelling mistakes & grammar mistakes are likely on my end, as this isn't my strong point. (but I try) I love writing regardless & use it as a form of escapism, but also to meet cool people with similar interests. I'm always happy to chat or plot with mutuals. I'm very easygoing & I care about the comfort of my writing partners.

My writing tends to deal with themes of identity, gender, sexuality, trauma, mental illness & sometimes suicide. I will tag these themes to the best of my ability with the main tag #usfw (unsafe for work). That being said, it is possible themes such as homophobia might come up in my writing. This will never be glorified or encouraged as its purpose is to explore the negative effects it has on my muses. If you have any concerns you are more than welcome to message me privately.

This blog is mobile based. 99% of the time I am on mobile. If I can’t read your rules, muse list, writing, etc. because of small or fancy font I most likely won’t follow.

If I follow you that means I am interested in roleplaying with you. Think of it as me giving you permission to write with me & send me things.

You do not need to ask to turn asks into threads. I encourage this. If I send you something it means I am eager to write with you.

I am fine with shipping but I will not force someone to roleplay a pairing they do not like. I ask that you do the same in  return.  

Smut in roleplays will be asked to be continued on Discord if possible. This applies only to smut. Kissing, making out, etc. will be present here.

I am selective with OCs due to bad experiences in the past. Please  do not pester me if I decline an offer to roleplay with your OC. It  isn’t anything personal. This is for my own comfort. If you're an OC blog & I follow you first or follow back then that means we're good to write.

I will roleplay almost anything except for the following: Do not  ask me to have my character rape or violate yours. Relationships must be  consensual. No  underage ships or sexual relationships with minors. No dead baby jokes, severely harming, abusing or killing children & animals. I do not wish to read or write detailed scenes of birth, abortions, miscarriages, genital mutilation, or anything too graphic regarding medical procedures, injury, piss, vore, or extremely graphic body horror.  (light body horror is fine)

I will not tolerate: drama or call out posts, anon hate, racism, any kind of homo or transphobia, bashing people for their religion, politics, ethnicity, or beliefs. I tend to unfollow people who post too much ooc negativity, or politics of any kind. Roleplaying is my escapism & I’m not here for any real world drama.

had a dream i was watching a subz clip on my dash and xb was in in-game chat and i was like "XB JOINED LIFESTEAL ?", ran to his twitch channel and instead of a lifesteal vod found a vod titled "lore stream" that was a 10 minute rendog creation showing the hermits getting custom elytra via literally growing wings. i never found out if he was on lifesteal. i think it's funny that my brain wants xb to be the center of the mcytverse tho. he deserves it i guess.
