How machine learning and AI algorithms are changing music ?

We all know about the wonders of AI and ML , and the disruption it has brought in the entertainment industry . Machine learning algorithms are changing the way we listen to music .
Youtube now knows which song to play next based on your playing history , Soundcloud and Spotify expose you to artists you have never heard before .
By analysing millions of songs and extracting features that are characteristics of each song and then storing it in a database’, each app is able to compare the characteristics of the song being listened to, and compare it to songs in its database until it finds a match. Machine learning and algorithms help us identify songs, and these same technologies are shaping the music we listen to in our spare time.
AI is playing a role in driving recommendation engines behind leading music streaming services like Spotify and Pandora. Interestingly, profitability at scale seems to be one of the main challenges for these companies. It will be interesting to see if AI could also contribute to addressing revenue challenges.
Music monetization is by far one of the trickiest aspects of this industry. Independent musical artists face major challenges producing, protecting and bringing their music to the marketplace. The lack of data on client outcomes makes it challenging to predict the impact of these platforms at this time.
Streamerium is one such emerging platform that appears on the horizon to tap into this captive market , by integrating AI — ML algorithms and assuring a minimal of 4 times the revenue to the artists.

Netflix is all set to simplify film production process.

After reinventing the way movies and TV shows are being watched. Now, Netflix wants to use technology to do the same to develop Movies and TV shows. Netflix has been working on a series of experimental apps designed to help some key parts of production - like the scheduling of a shoot, crew management, and the budgeting to pay for it all.One app, in particular, called 'Move', has been in testing with selected Netflix productions since November. During a recent press briefing Chris Gross Netflix’s director of studio technology. said “Ultimately, we are competing with pen and paper,”With 'Move', crews can organize their schedule on set, distribute the script to everyone involved in each scene, and generate a wrap report at the end of each workday.'Move' does all of this for them in an app, and integrates with email and SMS to notify crew members of schedule changes. The experimental app was initially tested on the second season of “Glow” this past November and has since been used on 10 different shoots. Many of previous attempts to go digital failed because they either tried to force new solutions down everyone’s throats or relied on closed silos, making studios buy into end-to-end platforms from one single vendor. Instead of that, Netflix is looking to build smaller pieces that can gradually replace old workflows over time and is also tapping into existing solutions. And the company isn’t looking at these apps as a way to save some money, but to actually help crews do their job. Ultimately, Netflix envisions that these apps will be used by tens of thousands of people, both employed by the company as well as third-party vendors working on Netflix productions around the world. Why #YouTube does not support your decisions in #Ecommerce?
There’s no shortage of information online about ecommerce business. A quick search on Google will reveal millions of results on the keyword. Be it enormous or small, you want to make the most of your advertising earnings . Ad-blockers already have a huge impact on digital marketing. Online marketing has an unbelievable scope to expand, but with the growth of ad blocking , the future of it looks an unsteady, mostly when your advertising dollars are stake . These ad-blockers have a huge potential to hamper the revenue industry , if the demand of Ad blocking reaches a critical mass on desktops and mobiles. To find out solution for Ad blocking, we need to understand what drives viewers to use Ad blockers.
For many of internet users, Ad blocking is nothing new. Closing pop up ads which interfere with content while watching any videos are mostly irritating for viewers. Let’s go through everyone’s perspective why ad blocking has become a challenge?
The Viewers Perspective
According to a report published by PageFair in 2017 , 11 % of the global world population is using ad-blockers on the web . Viewers are not entirely against of Ads, they like to see rich, relevant, secure Ads but while surfing, most of the time Ads are unprofessional and here are some basic reasons : Why viewers block ads?
Reason 1 : Ads are irritating, unwanted, irrelevant, interruptive
Reason 2 : Ads are troublesome
Reason 3 : Ads creates viruses, malware, security, privacy issues
Reason 4 : Ads affects bandwidth usage & load time
The Advertisers Perspective
For many publishers, advertising is their primary source of revenue. If they are getting a smaller number of saleable impressions and clicks from their adverts, they will be forced to make changes. The prime motive of Ad blocking software is to stop Ads from being served to viewers that Ad blocking has become a threat to the Ad industry due to the extreme growth of Ad blockers. Ad blocker stops almost every Ad like search Ads, banner Ads, YouTube Ads, social posts, pay-roll, & many more a viewer might see. Ad blockers are desktop/mobile browser add-ons or standalone browsers that cause most paid advertising to totally disappear from your surfing experience.
This limits advertiser’s prospective views or CPM (Cost per Thousand) impressions. Ads are paid for only after they have been served. So eventually publishers aren’t being paid for visits to their site from any browsers that has an ad blocker installed.
Only in US $12 billion in ad revenues will be disrupted because of the growth of Ad blocking by the year 2020, according to a new survey and forecast to be released by Forbes.
Streamerium Perspective
Streamerium works on making videos shoppable , without hampering the viewing experience of a viewer by integrating shoppable hotspots . Streamerium’s AI technology can detect key frames in videos and then automatically identify the most similar products (or products that complement the look) from our affilates product catalog to show relevant product recommendations instantly without navigating away from the video.
Thus Ad blocking has no power to impact on advertisers and publishers when videos are embedded on Streamerium platform .

Have you heard of Streamerium’s new Clap and Slap feature ?

Social media platforms are extensively used by millions and millions of people for sharing, entertaining and expressing themselves. Per minute over 1.3 million of content gets posted on Facebook alone, except the comments and reactions these posts get.
Rise of social platforms has changed the way of expession, just click a button instead of putting your feelings or reaction into the words. A simple ‘like’ can depict various feelings associated with the person liking it, he might have just liked that post, or might have absorbed the idea described into the content, or he might have liked that post to express his favour. By liking, re tweeting or sharing a post, usually support is given to that respective post but there are only a countable platforms provides a dislike feature for the content.
The huge tide of posts from number of social platforms leave us with same old options like -liking ,disliking, up-voting and reposting which feels kind of outdated or overrated concept of appreciation. Failing to express one’s feelings properly, these stereotypical features makes him to lose interests in the overall content.
Liking, disliking, tweeting, retweeting- haven’t gone kind of outdated and boaring way of expression?
Is there any new feature that is representing the perfect ideology which social platform users needs? Yes, Blockchain based video streaming platform Streamerium have a brand new solution for this.
Packed with Clap or Slap feature, Streamerium breaks social stereotype and offers a refreshing way to reach out loud. Now, clap many times as you like instead of putting a boring-overrated single thumbs up. Isn’t it exciting to give a round of applause for the content you find interesting and promising?
When it comes to the number of claps, the bigger is better, while awakening their creative spirit, content creators will cherish a proper respect and admiration, which leads to energize them for creating better creative content. Apart from appreciating, for showing disapproval and disliking, what could be a better notorious way than Slapping? These slaps will tend to make content creators rethink about their mistakes in a humours manner , and it will also help them to put more and more efforts in their creation by heavily brainstorming ingenious minds.
Seeking for how many claps or Slaps a video got, is a brand new thrilling way to finding popularity and quality of content provided. Streamerium is here to revolutionize each and every concept related to content creating ,hosting and distributing in a glorious manner .

Why the music industry needs blockchain technology ?

Being first to put in any of the work, and the last to ever see any profit..such a major pain point for creative people in the music industry. Songwriters, producers and musicians everyone faces the same situation.
They have little to no information about how their royalty payments are calculated, and they never get access to valuable analytical data about how and where people are listening to their music.
Blockchain has the potential to provide a more quick and seamless experience for anyone involved with creating or interacting with music.
Below are some of the features of Blockchain Technology and how it addresses the current problems in this industry by changing the way this sector works.
1. Universal, distributed database
Everybody has access to the database. Any changes that were made is available for everyone to see. Because everybody has access to it, anybody can verify and confirm any transactions made within the blockchain platform.
In a single database for musicians, the industry becomes truly data led, laying down all information such as artist, writer, producers, royalty distribution and more. It becomes easier for everybody across industries to collaborate. Win-win situation.
2. Peer-to-peer transmission
What happens in P2P is that it allows sharing without an intermediary. Musicians highly benefit from this platform because it eliminates the middlemen.
In addition to this, it allows anyone to share their work with a large number of audiences without having to be restricted by issues on agency support, publishers and the like.
While the problem with small musicians before is on how to release their music in the market, in the Blockchain, they can now do so with ease.
3. Identity amid anonymity
Although one of Blockchain’s main feature is anonymity, users may still opt to publish their own work to clearly associate them with it. A user is identified with a 30 or more alphanumeric characters that become unique addresses.
This becomes your proof of identification that cannot be copied or hacked. When musicians acquire their own address, that becomes permanent. Hence, any work released under that address will forever be associated with that identity.
4. Transparency
The Blockchain works in “chains”, so every move is connected chronologically with each other. Once a transaction has commenced, it cannot be reversed and is out there for everyone to see. This is a huge advantage in the music industry where copying or “stealing” work is a problem.
Once the information is out in the Blockchain, the owner or address that is connected with the work cannot be changed. The blockchain effect has inspired creatives in the industry that a better future lies ahead.
If guided and nurtured in the right ways, blockchain holds the potential to give us a golden age of music not just for its listeners, but for those who make it, too.

Walmart files patent applications for drone shopping assistants and smart shopping carts.

Walmart filed several patents that suggest the company may be moving toward a technology-based future.
With regards to in-store tech, the patents include a shopping cart “sensing device” and a means for tracking customers through wearable. That’s taken in conjunction with the several patents for sensing inventory levels. It’s possible this is a play towards cashier-less shopping, like the kind Amazon is increasingly rolling out with its Amazon Go locations.
As well, Walmart’s other mobile-centered patent is for drones that would assist customers shopping in-store. According to the patent, customers would be able to summon a drone through a mobile device to “provide price verification of a user-specified object or […] provide navigation assistance […] to guide the user to the user-specified object.”
Whether any of this will actually come to fruition is hard to tell. Companies routinely file patents that are never realized, but the idea of a future where drones are at your command as shopping assistants is interesting at the very least.
Walmart reported in February its US e-commerce sales grew 23 percent over the fiscal year 2017 and its online revenue increased 44 percent.
As with any patent, this proposed tech may never come to pass. In any case, it’s a sign of some of the ways that retailers are looking to incorporate technology into everyday business.
