his   parents   already   don't   like   her,   this   would   no   doubt   only   make   it   worse.   she's   not   supposed   to   be   here,   his   parents   have   made   it   clear   how   they   feel   about   shadysiders,   but   kurt   thought   they'd   be   out   all   night.   he   certainly   didnt   expect   them   to   walk   in   on   the   pair   while   they   were   watching   a   movie   on   the   couch.   entirely   innocent,   nothing   going   on   that   shouldn't   be.   other   than   a   shadysider   in   the   house,   of   course.   his   parents   didnt   seem   to   care   at   all   that   she   was   there,   immediately   resorting   to   screaming   at   kurt.   his   mother   throws   out   plenty   of   harsh   insults,   though   surprisingly   few   are   aimed   at   joan   all   things   considered.   he   stands,   moves   towards   his   mother   in   an   attempt   to   calm   her   down,   but   that   only   earns   him   a   slap   strong   enough   to   make   him   stumble   into   the   sofa.   before   he   has   any   idea   what's   happening   joans   up   and   yelling   right   back   at   them,   telling   her   not   to   touch   him   as   if   she   has   any   kind   of   authority   in   this   household.   “   joan—   ”   he   weakly   tries   to   pull   at   her   arm,   though   it   does   nothing.   the   boys   muscles   are   useless   when   his   minds   like   this.   “   please   don't—   ”   he   knows   they   can   get   out   of   this   without   her   being   in   too   much   trouble,   knows   he   can   put   it   all   on   his   own   shoulders,   even   if   he   knows   he   cant   really   handle   the   consequences   of   that.

@strikefirst ,  oh  my  gooood.  i  actually  like ,  genuinely  needed  a  moment  with  this ??  because  it  made  me  smile  so  much  and  filled  my  heart  with  joy.  from  my  own  perspective  all  i  see  is  chaos ,  inconsistency ,  defeating  myself  with  my  own  perfectionism ,  obsessively  needing  my  aesthetic  to  be  on  point  or  i  feel  like  my  blogs  don’t  even  matter ,  etc.  so   thank  you ,   truly ,  from  the  bottom  of  my  heart.  it’s  genuinely  always  so  nice  to  see  you  on  the  dash.  like  i  look  forward  to  seeing  your  posts  no  matter  what  they  are.  and  one  day  i’m  gonna  stop  being  a  coward  and  we’re  gonna  do  awesome  things.  <3

THERE WAS SOMETHING FAMILIAR IN THE WAY THAT THE DOJO’S DOORBELL rang, and it was that familiarity that caused him to pause for a second as he passed the threshold into the place that had so quickly become a second home to him. He hadn’t been back since before the first day of school - the feeling of safety among the snakes now replaced with the feeling of free fall, of the shooting pain of his back hitting the concrete before everything went dark. Of the haziness of his sleep, and the fight to wake up again. 

Despite how alien it felt to see Kreese’s face plastered on the walls that he and his mentor built, he still took of his shoes and tossed them to the side. A sign of respect for what Cobra Kai used to be. His eyes darted from his All-Valley trophy, standing proudly on the shelf amongst those of decades’ past, to one of the people Miguel had hoped he’d run into. He couldn’t avoid the tension that instantly found its way to his shoulders, and the familiar feeling of adrenaline starting to course through his veins. Get out, his thoughts cried, though his feet ignored their order and stubbornly made their way towards the other. 

His comment had come out of a genuine place of wonder and confusion, and he was met with a bite as bad as he’d dished out in the past.   ❝ Look, I don’t wanna fight you anymore, ❞   he started, concern starting to come through in his features.    ❝ You just... You have to get out of here, okay? Kreese is using you. ❞   Thoughts went back to his own time under the man’s guidance, of how brutal he’d become in the few short weeks that Johnny had been away. 

        ❝ It started like this for me, too. ❞

kurt   knows   this   is   a   bad   idea,   has   no   doubt   in   his   mind   that   if   his   parents   got   wind   of   him   getting   involved   with   a   shadysider   that   they’d   throw   a   fit.   but   this   isn’t   about   his   parents,   not   at   all.   this   is   about   someone   who   actually   makes   him   feel   loved,   someone   who   actually   wants   him   around.   she   wants   him.   and   so   he   doesn’t   care   at   all   how   much   he   isn’t   supposed   to   be   sneaking   around   with   her,   at   the   end   of   the   day   he   needs   to   indulge   in   every   possible   moment   he   can   where   he’s   not   being   mistreated,   and   there’s   no   time   better   than   when   he’s   alone   with   joan.

a   soft   moan   escapes   gently   parted   lips   as   joan’s   lips   attach   to   his   neck,   his   hand   getting   lost   in   her   hair   as   his   mind   gets   lost   in   how   good   it   feels.   to   be   loved,   to   feel   the   inherent   pleasure   that   comes   with   someone   actually   wanting   you   around.   it’s   all   something   he’s   not   exactly   familiar   with,   his   life   far   from   a   well   loved   place.   but   every   second   with   her   feels   different,   every   moment   with   her   feels   like   he’s   finally   getting   to   be   himself.   whoever   that   is.
