Samantha has been invited to participate in the upcoming “The Plate Show V Group Show” at Schaller Gallery.
This exhibition opens online on Tuesday, August 9, at 2:00pm
Schaller Gallery writes, “This year will be our fifth iteration of The Plate Show. Plates, in all of their various forms, are one of the most challenging forms in pottery. We ask a plate to perform so many tasks: to act as a canvas for our food preparation, to serve us multiple times each day, to stack nicely in the cupboards, perhaps act as a visual feature on a wall, all while maintaining a highly functional design. Even though they are a relatively simple form, there is a sensitivity to nuance and detail needed to create a truly great plate.”
Participating Makers include Richard Burkett, Linda Christianson, Eddie Curtis, Margaret Curtis, Nancy Green, Samantha Henneke, Matthew Hyleck, Tom Jaszczak, Cathi Jefferson, Matthew Krousey, Sandy Lockwood, Kirk Lyttle, Ron Philbeck, Steven Rolf, and Andrew Sartorius.

what if i teach myself how to do potters plaster so i can make molds for ceramic dnd dice (i know they would be very difficult and probably unbalanced but also that skill would help me make personal molds and sprigs of my own stuff) i just think that would be neat (i looked at traditional silicone molds for resin die but i would be afraid that i wouldnt be able to get the raw clay out without damaging them)
