IWTV 2022 INSP - QotD Pt1b: Wake Up

I unlocked the violin case.... Of course I didn't know how to play it, but we are powerful mimics. As Marius said, we have superior concentration and superior skills.... I looked down at the violin and tried to remember my idea, and I ran my fingers along the wood and wondered what this thing looked like to them. In a hushed voice I explained what it was, that I wanted them to hear it, that I didn't really know how to play it but that I was going to try. I wasn't speaking loud enough to hear myself, but surely they could hear it if they chose to listen. And I lifted the violin to my shoulder, braced it under my chin, and lifted the bow. I closed my eyes and I remembered music.... I plunged into it, the music suddenly wailing upwards and rippling down again as my fingers danced. It was a song, all right, I could make a song.... I went madly on with it, rocking back and forth...louder and louder as I bore down upon it with the frantic sawing of the bow. I was singing with it, I was humming and then singing loudly.... And suddenly it seemed my own voice became louder, inexplicably louder, with a pure high note which I knew that I myself could not possibly sing.... I knew suddenly that I was not the one making this strange high note!... I looked forward and I saw Akasha...! ....I was stammering, unable to hear myself except in the pure abstraction of intention in my mind.... I did not hesitate.... I felt my fangs break through the skin as if through a glacial crust, and the blood came steaming into my mouth. Oh, yes, yes...oh, yes! ....I was clinging to her, my living statue, and it didn't matter that she was harder than marble, that was the way it was supposed to be, it was perfect, my Mother, my lover, my powerful one, and the blood was penetrating every pulsing particle of me with the threads of its burning web. "Lestat, what did I say last night?" Marius asked. "You are the damnedest creature!"

Leaving the Smith household for a short bit... THIS is Toby Stephens. Made by @studiok2sims I spent a few hours one weekend day making sure I had all the necessary sliders and makeup for him. Ain’t he gorgeous? In the first shot here I’d forgotten to put on the skin he’s supposed to wear. 

He’s based on an actor... so I think it’s appropriate that I’m planning to stick him into my game and have him play the part of Nene’s disciplined, rich, and hardworking uncle. xD I may play with just him for a bit in a side game to get his skills and things where I feel they ought to be.

Do you allow conversions of your conversions? I don't have access to Dragon Age to extract the staff/stave meshes myself and I would really like to add them to a massive staff/stave/wand project I have going for TS3. I would absolutely give you credit for the original conversion.

Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection? Secret? Hm.... I would say Oscar, but his are not exactly a secret. I don’t think anyone has a secret stuffed animal collection, or would have? Aedan might have some actual REAL stuffed animals, lying around his basement on the other hand *cough* among other things........... Don’t go there.........

Hello, my lovely! I hope you don’t mind me posting this publicly in case anyone else was wondering the same.

The dress is by the gorgeous @coloresurbanos and I think it is this one HERE on TSR.

(The dress is re-colourable but I don’t know where the pattern is from I’m afraid!). Hope that answers your question- if there is anything else just ask! :)

Saoirse whirls her way through the clinic, carried on a storm of emotion. She finds Dr. Evans out the back, giving their overnight patients their breakfast. Saoirse's brow furrows even further. This is Briony's job. Dr.Evans rocks back on his heels and regards her through the thick glass of the puppy enclosure. Saoirse mouths 'Where's Briony?' at him. Her chest is heaving, her face contorted. Dr. Evans climbs to his feet. His movements are slow and deliberate. He closes the door carefully behind him and stands in front of her, an oasis of calm amongst the yowling and barking and yapping, and the noise of the blood rushing through her head.

Dr. Evans: Briony rang in sick this morning. Are you alright? You look terrible.

Saoirse: No, Lionel, I’m not alright.

She tells him about Briony ringing up John, and coming home to John’s accusations. A smile flickers behind Dr. Evan’s eyes.

Dr. Evans: So, Saoirse, you’re telling me that you’re angry and upset because your husband accused you of infidelity? After you arrived home…from a date with another man?

Saoirse: Yes, but…okay, I get the irony, I get what you’re saying, but that’s not why I’m angry. I’m angry because that horrible, nasty, backstabbing piece of trash tried to destroy my marriage. For no other reason than she’s a vindictive, jealous little bitch. And I’m angry and upset because she made poor John upset, obviously. And then I had to come home and…

She screws her eyes shut, as if to erase the picture from her memory.

Saoirse: And then I had to come home and tell him…I was leaving him for someone else.

A recently neutered Siamese named Precious starts squalling from the cat enclosure.

Saoirse: I’ve had no sleep, Lionel. John was …I don’t want to relive it, it was really awful. One minute he’d be raging at me, the next clinging to me sobbing. It’s a wonder the neighbours didn’t call the police.

Dr. Evans speaks in a low, soothing voice. Saoirse feels undeserving of the kindness in his eyes.

Dr. Evans: I agree that what Briony did was despicable, but don’t forget that you have no actual proof. I also think that if you’re honest with yourself, you’d realise that your anger towards her might be motivated at least partly by guilt. You’re looking for a scapegoat for all the hurt and humiliation that John is suffering at the moment. Am I right?

After a moment Saoirse nods. Her bottom lip is wobbly. 

Saoirse: You’re the only person I’m going to miss in this goddamn town, Lionel.

YES, I like the QotD movie; SUE ME. No, it wasn't book accurate at all, but it had charm!

I can't believe it took them 20 years to give us another adaptation of Lestat--and in his rockstar era, no less! What a time to be alive! (^0^)

I had been toying with the idea of putting myself out there again for Frankie’s Challenge #9, but you know. Anxiety and shyness always tell me “NO, like who would want to do anything with you”. God I hate that voice. Anyways....then....

@architectural-sims contacted me about something and asked about doing the challenge collab. So we decided to switch sims and make them over in our own styles. This is Sophia Beluccio who is an Italian diva from the countryside that lives in Monte Vista.

I’m not really a CAS person (I always say this) but I really like how she turned out. Eduardo, I’ll send you her file and stuff tomorrow.

Yeah, that’s another image editor. I was referring to the very basic one that comes (or came) with Windows.
