Black Myth: Wukong - 108 Contents Collection

The number 108 is sacred in Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. So this set includes 108 recolorable Build/Buy/CAS items converted from Black Myth: Wukong for TS3, as your sims await the birth of the Destined One! 🐒🍑🐵

FLAWS: Apologies in advance for the high poly meshes--some of these were 100k+ polys before I decimated as much as possible without utterly obliterating the mesh quality. The highest offenders (that say High Poly in the name) are like 10k, so you've been warned.

Most of this CC is straightforward, but I wanted to highlight some important stuff real quick. Click the links for extra images--Tumblr's 30 pic limit is NOT conducive to closely examining 100 pieces of CC:

The 2-storey column versions are only decorative, cuz IDK how to make them as real multi-storied columns.

The Chinese Couch as Bedframe (Decor) is the spiritual successor to the other one I made here--it's just a new design for variety's sake, since BMW had one I could convert too:

I actually HATE how the Cloudy SN EP Magic Mirror turned out; it's really bad, seeing the transition from a round mirror to a rectangular magic mirror (TBH my gif actually removed several frames)--but heck if I know how to fix it. Which is why I also included just a regular basegame Clouds Mirror:

The Octagonal Stalactites are under Misc Decor, fully routable. They also have no backfaces, so you can easily see your room from a birdseye pov.

The Cloud Staff ACC & Dragon Staff ACC are Unisex, Teen - Elder, Everyday - Outerwear, etc etc.

The Bungalow Fireplace 1 (High Poly) is freaking enormous, but I couldn't resist.

As usual, the Cauldron as Spherefish Modded Fireplace 100% REQUIRES Spherefish's cauldron/fireplace mod at MTS to work. The mesh is a tad too big &Y bulky, but I wanted it that way, so....

Huaguoshan Tian di Ling Shi as SN EP Faery House is the magic rock Sun Wukong is believed to have been born/asleep inside of. Only the fae know for sure what's going on in there, though! 👀👀👀

The Magic Furnace as a Fireplace is self explanatory, but it also comes in 2 extra types:

I'm REALLY sad that I don't know how to add a fire FX, so they burn like an actual furnace/fireplace would. Instead, you'll just have to use the Fog Emitter. I used s30_fireplace3x1raging in my gameplay pics. (I warned y'all that it's high poly AF, but tbh I have like a dozen of these on the same lot and everything's fine, so.... YOLO? 🤷)

The GEN EP Keeper's Cane (Buy Mode) | Keeper's Cane ACC (DR Mod) made me so frikkin happy. (I used it with the Canes for All Ages mod at MTS, but that mod is NOT required!)

Buy the Cane in Hobbies & Skills with the rest of the GEN EP canes. The ACC file isn't an actual accessory you can pick in CAS, it's the cane animation that the sim uses when walking around. Without it, EA's default cane will appear instead, so you NEED both files for it to work right (I didn't wanna risk Merging the files in S3PE).

Ngl I kinda borked the Keeper Shrine C1 as Wishing Well | Flowers (High Poly) | Smoke Trails as Table Light (Animated Texture).

Because there's a decorative slot on the shrine (for the Incense), you might have to place the Flowers and Smoke down FIRST, and THEN place the Shrine. So just a heads up! (If you squint you can barely see the Snake as FX Machine on the right in the gif.)

I wanted the Lotus Yaoguai to be a functional Cowplant SO DANG BAD, but I couldn't get it to work for the life of me. 😔 So instead it's just a LN EP FX Machine.

Y'all know me: when I see Hozuki in the game files, I HAVE to convert them. This time, I gave them the Fullbright Glow effect. (The Trumpet Flowers have the Fullbright Glow, too, btw.)

The Coffin and Pot are both IP EP Treasure Chests, found under Debug.

There are regular basegame Shroom plants, but I also added Shrooms as AMB EP Hygienator (under Plumbing), so that they spray out air freshener (read: SPORES) whenever sims walk past.

The Shroom Hat ACCs are direct matches, ofc.

I made the Gourd ACCs (Unisex, under Rings) specifically to go with my No Ghost Hunter Gun mod; to try mimicking the spirit-absorbing ability BMW gourds have. Otherwise I wouldn't've bothered; esp. since I also made the Gourds functional drinks (see my gif here) with the Arsil Beverage Mod (which is REQUIRED).

I'm experimenting with more plumbing, and made a Pedestal Sink.

FLAWS: There are no faucet pieces, so the animation is kinda goofy-looking, but oh well.

FLAWS: I wanted the Tongue to be a functional WA EP Rubble Pile for Tombs, so it could actually obstruct entrance unless sims demolished it, but nothing I did made it work. In the end I decided to make it a §108 Moneybag that REQUIRES Ani's Moneybag Script. It's LiveDragEnabled, so you can just drag it into your sims' inventory if they're too stupid to autonomously pick up the "money bag" to collect the cash themselves. 🤦

I was really stumped on what else I could do with the Tongue that made sense. If anyone has any bright ideas, please feel free, cuz I got nuthin! 🤷

TS3 AMB EP No Ghost Hunter Guns!

I made this mod to remove the gigantic guns sims use in animations when Banishing ghosts in the Ambitions EP Ghost Hunter career. I can't stand seeing them in historical non-scifi/modern gameplay, and it was driving me crazy.

There are 2 files included (you can install both, they don't conflict):

Unfortunately, the bright particle beam effect is part of the animation, and will also be removed, which sucks. But oh well.

Each chapter of BMW has a different Keeper (Tudi), a nature spirit/powerful ghost/yaoguai who's in charge of the level area and its denizens. They can be either a huge help (C1, C2), or just kinda there (C3), or a massive pain in the neck effing hindrance (C5), or outright evil (C4).

Hands down, the Keepers in C1 & C2 are the best (despite how C2's is a greedy mofo who overcharges you); although the motives & background of C1's Keeper are the most vague. Still, the old dude came in clutch with the Immobilize spell, bless.

Apparently there's no Keeper in Chapter 6 (I assumed it was the old monkey 🤔), so I merged Black Wind Mountain and Mount Huaguo so C1's Keeper could do double-duty on both mountains; sue me. 🤷

Black Myth: Wukong INSP - Xu Dog & the Celestial Pills

Xu Dog gives you free medicines when you visit his furnace in the Ruyi Scroll Realm, I freaking LOVE him; he's the goat!

However....

As usual, Game Science seems to be telling a veeeeery dark story (i.e.: Black Myth); and as sweet & kind as Xu Dog is, I can't help but fear that he's another one of the bad guys. 🤔

Xu's a disciple of Lord Lao (aka: Laozi, the IRL founder of Daoism), a huge figure in Journey to the West. Wukong got boiled alive in Laozi's furnace as a punishment for rebelling against the Celestial Court, but it didn't work, and only made him stronger, lol.

Wukong busted out, and bricks from the furnace fell from Tushita Palace, down to earth, and became the Flaming Mountains where Red Boy and his parents eventually lived--which BMW calls "Furnace Valley;" very apropos. And Red Boy's parents tie in again, cuz in Game Science's Dark AU, Red Boy's mom, Rakshasi/Iron Fan Princess was the one forced by Laozi himself to drink from the River of Child-Bearing, to create Red Boy so the gods could eat him and get stronger. 💀

So for Game Science, Laozi and the other gods are the villains of the story, and the yaoguai are the victims. In the yaoguai's perspective, all these frikkin furnaces are Bad News.

BMW Chapter 4 is all about their pill-making industry, turning yoaguai into worms which are then turned into pills for the gods to eat. You even bring one of the rarest baby worms back to Ruyi Scroll for the Zodiac Gods to "raise;" only for it to be already dead when you return and only it's spirit is left behind for the player to use as a summon. HOW DID IT DIE? 🕵️ Did the Zodiac Gods EAT it? 🧐

So wtf is up with Xu Dog REALLY? 👀

Regardless, I still love Xu Dog, and wanted him to be the main drug dealer alchemist in my TS3 gameplay.

I made Xu a fox cuz I swore that's what he was supposed to be, like Red Boy's sister PingPing. But nope, apparently he's a very specific type of Chinese dog; whoddathunk! 🤷

Black Myth: Wukong INSP - The Yellow Loong

"For what deed, must his head be hung for all to see? For what deed, must the waters they governed roam free? For what deed, must all matters not know how to be? For what deed, must mercy’s hand sow woe upon thee?"

The plan [Yellow Loong] had was simple: since the old man [Yuan Shoucheng] could foresee destiny, he would surely sidestep misfortune. By staying with [Yuan], [Yellow Loong] believed he could elude all danger. After his brothers each fled to distant realms, he transformed into a loong pattern on Yuan Shoucheng's robe. For the next 100 years, he followed the old man across the vast lands, watching him decipher omens and foretell futures. But what good did his words change? Most, in their hubris, fell into the same snares. Whenever this occurred, the old man would seek refuge in drink. By fortune's grace, he possessed a gourd that brewed its own wine, and thus, he often drowned his sorrows in a self-spun stupor. In his drunken haze, the old man would often converse with the shadows.... Sometimes, [Yuan] would sigh and question, "If you could predict where you would die and deliberately avoid it, could you really escape?" The loong often wondered if these words were meant for him. But since the old man never exposed or drove him away, he assumed the old man was just rambling in his drunkenness. As time went on, these words gnawed at his heart, leaving him torn and unable to decide whether to leave. -- Black Myth: Wukong, Chapter 4

MY THOUGHTS (spoilers under the cut):

In my gameplay, I wanted Maitreya to purify Kang-Jin Star, and then she would go forth and find her dragon brethren and help save them, too.

The in-game lore is very vague and the fans pieced it all together (x x), but basically it follows part of Journey to the West canon, where Yuan Shoucheng had told a bunch of fortunes to fishermen about the best fishing spots & upcoming rainfall. The Dragon King worried that his rivers would be depleted of fish and all his subjects would go extinct if Yuan kept at it. So he tried to trick Yuan into giving the wrong fortune. But the Jade Emperor found out and sentenced the Dragon King to death for going against the will of heaven (esp. since Yuan was divinely favored by the Celestial Court, and the gods made sure Yuan's predictions were right). So the Dragon King was executed--a moral conundrum, since on one hand he was tryna save his people, but otoh he defied the Celestial Court (that set him up).

In Black Myth: Wukong, 4 of the Dragon King's 9 sons (the Yellow, Black, Cyan, and Red Loongs) had run to Yuan for help, afraid that all their fates were doomed, too. Yuan advised them to go into hiding until he gave the signal to come back out. Unfortunately for them, that signal was the arrival of the Destined One (Sun Wukong's reincarnation), who eventually kills them all to create an epic weapon. The Yellow Loong is the last one found, cuz he was hiding in Yuan's yellow robes, and takes over Yuan's body during the boss fight in Chapter 4. After the fight, Yuan convinces Yellow to die & rejoin his brothers' spirits and create the epic weapon the Destined One is then able to use.

What happened to the dragons is supremely effed up, and from the yaoguai's perspective, BMW paints the Celestial Court, Yuan, and the Destined One in a really bad light. So as I explained here, in my TS3 gameplay, there is no Destined One taking Wukong's place; Maitreya does his effing job and takes care of business; and the dragons & other innocent yoaguai get some effing HELP for once. 😩

Black Myth: Wukong INSP - The Third Relic

Another 400 li further north is the Qiaoming Mountain, where the Qiao River originates and flows westward into the Yellow River. There are many Heluo fish, which have ten bodies on one head and make a sound like a barking dog. Eating them can cure 癰 (carbuncle; sore; ulcer; abscess). 320 li further south is the Dongshi Mountain...the Yi River originates from there and flows northeastward into the sea, where there are many beautiful shellfish and many fish. They look like carp, with one head and ten bodies, and they smell like mugwort/mulberry, but you won't fart (屁) if you eat them.

MY THOUGHTS (lore dump & fangirling under the cut):

In Journey to the West, Kang-Jin Star was a GOOD celestial dragon constellation who originally helped Sun Wukong; but in Game Science's dark AU she's mind-controlled by Yellowbrow (disguised as fake!Maitreya), to help him use Wukong's relics to gain more power/immortality in Chapter 3. What happens to her (and all the other dragons) is really effed up--the black myth of it all--so I just wanted TS3 gameplay where real!Maitreya purifies her and frees Wukong's relic from the ice lake, and everyone's OK in the end. 😔

But chile, the lore about Wukong's relics isn't explained in the game AT ALL. That's a big issue about BMW, the sharp learning curve about what the story even IS. Cuz Game Science doesn't just expect you to be proficient in Journey to the West, Buddhism, and Chinese folklore; they also expect you to be fluent in the Chinese language to get all the puns, which are lost in translation in English. This game is NOT for Western audiences; it's super confusing & vague if you're not steeped in research about ancient Chinese culture. To this day I'm learning more about wtf was going on in this frikkin game; HELP.

In the Shan Hai Jing (Classic of Mountains & Seas), the He-luo Fish (何羅魚) has 1 head and 10 bodies (aka: a squid) that really stinks, but has magic/medicinal properties against flatulence/farting. So Game Science used it as a relic form to represent Wukong's nose/sense of smell, like how the Grieving Body relic is Wukong's torso/touch relic.

But there's a deeper pun about how in Chinese, saying someone's blowing hot air or has farts coming out their mouth is another way of saying they're speaking "nonsense (屁)," which is ALSO the name of the Chapter 3 cutscene/music video where Yellowbrow (in disguise as a magic turtle yaoguai) corrupts into self-destructive greed & murder--just like he did to Kang-Jin Star and all his other victims. And when he explains his evil actions to Xuanzang (sense/truth), all he's doing is speaking nonsense(屁)/lies/💩--just a fart. 👌😤👏

(This is my fave BMW end-chapter cutscene btw, it's so Studio Ghibli! 😍)

So if you don't know any of this nuance and didn't watch a billion meta videos about the game lore, there's so much in BMW that's gonna fly right over your head! Meanwhile Game Science is just sitting there like:

MY THOUGHTS (spoilers, theories, conspiracies, oh my!):

As I explained earlier, the dark lore AU (aka: black myth) of BMW is a critique of the Celestial Court of Heaven, and the corrupt gods/immortals who cannibalize and consume yaoguai, bodhisattvas, and other powerful monks, sages, and creatures in order to extend their lifespan to try gaining immortality. But immortality doesn't really exist, as all things must die eventually, and can be killed. Escaping the trap of existence/the Wheel of Samsara, is the goal of a truly Enlightened Buddhist/Buddha, who has no interest in becoming a god and living forever, esp. not at the cost of killing & eating other people.

Sun Wukong is dead in BMW, and his reincarnation, The Destined One (the player) is on a journey to find all of Wukong's scattered relics to bring Wukong back--to BE the next Wukong. He's given a magic gourd by Yuan Shoucheng, that allows you to absorb the spirits & will/essence of everyone you fight & kill in the game. Their spirits are sucked into your gourd, which you can then use as temporary summons in fights. You also use the gourds to revive your HP & stay alive. And their Will take the form of immortal peaches in the HUD's icon, which you can use as money to buy/upgrade your gear.

So the essential lore & core mechanic of the game is about consuming the spirits of lesser beings into become the ultimate being: the Fighting Buddha, Sun Wukong. The disgusting cannibalistic lore is clearest by the time you get to Chapter 5 near the end of the game, but it's teased & hinted in every chapter of the game--but earliest is arguably the gourd's special mechanic called "Guidance," which you're given by Yuan in Chapter 1, that lets you consume spirits/essence of all the creatures you kill.

And IMO the in-game gourd descriptions are all alluding to the underlying lore of BMW, pointing to the futile quest for immortality people keep going on, looking for the elixir/cure to avoid death. They're mad that they're born mortal/human/animal/etc, envious of the gods and the people that managed to cultivate to immortality thru Daoism or reach Enlightenment thru Buddhism. But because their intentions are impure, they're resorting to all kinds of effed up methods that turn them into effed up monstrous creatures (boons with banes). Anyone can become a yaoguai or bodhisattva/buddha/etc, depending on how pure/genuine their hearts are or not. But power-hungry people obsessed only with hoarding strength & reputation/clout/fame will never get there. They're popping pills (made from the bodies of humans, yaoguai, etc they've killed) to become stronger, drinking with the gods celebrating as if they really achieved something beneficial, when all they did was curse themselves & hurt their own karma--which they'll ofc pay for in the next life when they're reborn as a lesser & lesser creature, until they learn how to act right & do right by people.

Which is the whole lesson of Sun Wukong's reincarnation as the Destined One--to be BETTER than Wukong, and not be a raging a-hole blinded by power & immortality, ruining everyone's lives for selfish reasons.

In Journey to the West, everyone was always trying to eat the MC Xuanzang cuz he was a powerful monk, and eating a spiritually strong human (higher on the Samsara Wheel) allowed lesser beings (animal/beastly yaoguai/demons) to become more immortal or more human-like. But Sun Wukong was canonically known for his Pure Breath, where his breath smelled really good, cuz he didn't really eat meat (aka: human flesh) like all the other yaoguai around him did (Pigsy, Sandy, the other yoaguai & beasts, etc); all he really ate was plants & fruits (esp. peaches). He wasn't interested in immortality to escape DEATH, he just wanted the power to escape the bureaucratic BS of the Celestial Court. He just wanted to be FREE of the gods and do his own thing; and stop them from "killing my kind!" to eat to become immortal--just like the Yaksha King said.

So I just found it really eerie but cool, how the gourds in the game are all tied to the larger theme around immortality & cannibalism, and how Wukong compared & differed from the gods, and what the point of him even being reincarnated is, when so many yaoguai must be killed to achieve all that, and where Game Science might be headed in the upcoming expansion they said they have planned next. 👀

Cuz IMO, the Destined One's fate seems to be inevitably that someone up there wants to eat Wukong, too, and we're being played, set up like a mofo. 👀

MY THOUGHTS

Yes, I chopped up the Chapter 3 dialogue Yuan had with the Destined One when they were fighting the evil Macaque; and Kang's dialogue with Pigsy while he was trapped in the Golden Cymbals.

I wanted to do a scene with these two, cuz even though they don't interact in the game, Journey to the West's lore closely ties Yuan with Long Dragons, and I like the idea of Kang (a celestial dragon courtier) trying to confront him in retaliation for the role Yuan played in the Dragon King's death in the novel, and that of the 4 Long Brothers in the game (x x).

These events that were devastating for the yaoguai who protected the waters and rivers and their ecosystems, since the Dragon King and his 4 sons were the spirits of China's rivers. It's really effed up and sad--Yuan helps Wukong & the Destined One, but at what cost, if all the dragons have to be killed off? 😩😔 So yeah, I wanted Kang to squabble up with Yuan, only to get sent packing when nothing worked against Yuan's impenetrable fire ring.

Black Myth: Wukong INSP - The Watermelon Patch

"You're a splendid laughing monk, I must say. By letting that boy [Yellowbrow] escape, you let him masquerade as a Buddha and ruin things for me. You ought to be charged with slack management of your household." "I was careless," Maitreya replied. "Besides, your master and you disciples have not yet come to the end of the demons you will have to deal with. That is why every kind of spiritual creature has been coming down to earth. You challenge him to battle, lose in the fight that follows, and lure him into my melon patch. All my melons are still unripe, so you're to change into a big ripe melon. When he gets there he's bound to want a melon and I'll give you to him. Once you're in his stomach you can do what you like to him. Then I'll get his pouch and we can put him inside it." "It's a very good plan," Monkey replied, "but how will you know which is the ripe melon I'll have turned into? And why should he be willing to go there after me?" I just wanted the excuse to finally play with Arsil's Watermelon Slices and @bietjie's Oversized Crops (which I had to retexture cuz the TS4 colors don't match TS3's). And there's the Simszoo Hopscotch I'm addicted to, I use it all the time.

I'm so bummed that BMW wasted my effing time in that CURSED prison level in Chapter 3, but didn't let us get turned into a watermelon and swallowed by Yellowbrow, even when we were standing RIGHT THERE in Maitreya's watermelon patch.

It would've been SO cool to encounter yellow!Maitreya in the fruit patch first, and get tricked into being in his belly, full of guts & acid & poison; rather than having to cross that annoying AF prison level, and then deal with that Judas, the Green-Capped Martialist. THEN blue!Maitreya shows up in the watermelon patch, and it makes more sense to be sus of him cuz we just dealt with the yellow version. It would've made it much clearer that there were TWO Maitreyas running around, and only one of them was legit.

There's so much to be said about Chapter 3, good & bad, but the whole bit about Maitreya's watermelons was a missed opportunity, IMO.

But whatever--this TS3 gameplay is just me being silly, letting Red Boy visit Maitreya and sample the melons (pause) and have the kids do some gardening together.

MY THOUGHTS (BMW spoilers & blasphemy under the cut)

If you played BMW, you know what happens to Red Boy / The Yaksha King at the end of Chapter 5.

What's WILD about this game is that it's basically a What If scenario, the sequel to Journey to The West if everything went to utter shi!te after the book ended. As Wukong's reincarnation (The Destined One), your player kills darn near all of the major characters that were still alive at the end of the novel, even the ones that kinda got a sorta redemption--Red Boy included. BUT! What does that "redemption" really mean, when demons/yaoguai are only "redeemed" by being FORCED to convert to Buddhism & give up all their powerful weapons & magic under pain of death? 🤔

Yeah, they pull all kinds of tricks, esp. on the humans they eat & hunt for sport. But when looked at from the yaoguai's perspective, the gods/immortals really effed them over. Esp. when so many of the monks & spiritual leaders & gods/immortals are corrupt AF, and some of the yaoguai would've been better off being left the heck alone? 😔Chapter 3 & 4's treatment of the Dragon Kings is a good example; but IMO Chapter 5 with Red Boy and esp. his mother are by far the most messed up; I darn near shed a tear.

Esp.-esp.-esp. cuz BMW filled in the blanks of the whole backstory that his mom Rakshasi was FORCED by the gods to drink from the River of Child-Bearing to have Red Boy so the gods could eat him & get stronger; which isn't even book canon. Meaning Game Science deliberately wanted Red Boy's story arc to end with his realization that his entire life had been just for the benefit of the same gods that exterminated his people. It's depressing AF. 😭

Which is precisely why in my TS3 gameplay Red Boy is NOT effed over. I want Maitreya to HELP him, kid-to-kid. So I'm just having fun--if Game Science can do canon-divergent AU fanfiction, I can too! 😅

I was frustrated with NA's Stone Set, cuz the rocks were non-routable, the arch was too big, and nothing was recolorable. So I I just edited them to fix all that.

With the Arch, it's still decor, but you can use Moveobjects On to place it on EA's arches.

Black Myth Wukong INSP: The Red Boy and the Baby Buddha

MY THOUGHTS

Dang near a whole year late, but I'm FINALLY getting around to doing Wukong gameplay (and conversions, of course) for TS3! \(^0^)/ I decided to start with my two favorite characters from the game, Maitreya (aka Baby Buddha) from Chapter 3, and ofc Red Boy from Chapter 5.

Chapter 5 was my favorite part of the whole game, esp. cuz of the way it spoke to the effed up practices of the "deities/gods" of the Celestial Court--99% of which are just uber-powerful Yaoguai (demons & other immortal beasts) with a penchant for cannibalism.

BMW explains that Red Boy's mother was forced by the Celestial Court to drink from the River of Child-Bearing, to give birth to a powerful yaoguai whom they would be able to condense into a magical pill to EAT, in order to maintain their immortality/longevity. So Red Boy grows up knowing his parents never really wanted him, but they also actively protected him from the Celestial Court since he's The Yaksha King, the last of the yakshas (nature demons), and cared for him in their own way.

While this isn't part of Red Boy's canonical story in Journey to the West, what IS in the novel is how a bunch of female yaoguai from the Kingdom of Women really did drink from the River of Child-Bearing to pop pills made from their own children's bodies. In JTTW, Wukong's companions accidentally drank from the river, and legit got pregnant and needed Wukong's help to get abortions I cannot make this up--Mpreg come thru~~!

So it's apropos that in the video game, Red Boy's arc is centered on his attempts to steal The Grieving Body, the 5th Relic of Sun Wukong (basically the remnant of Wukong's crystalized body or 5th Sense--"Touch"), which Red Boy eats to achieve his superpowered final form as The Yaksha King, to challenge the Celestial Court.

In the game, The Destined One (Wukong's reincarnation) fights Red Boy to get him to cough back up the Grieved Body. But in my TS3 gameplay, I had sim!Maitreya fight him instead.

Hanguang-Jun(e) 2025: The Cold Springs (Pt2)

Lan Yi, the spirit of the Lan Sect's ancestor, was summoned. She advised Lan Wanji that the best ways to ease the pain from the Discipline Whip scars was to play Cleansing on her guqin, a powerful spiritual weapon. Of course, Dual Cultivation was also recommended, even with Wei Wuxian's diminished Golden Core inherited from Mo Xuanyu. While Lan Wangji communed with his ancestor, Wei Wuxian amused himself playing with Lan Yi's snow rabbits, and sampling her supply of chilled elixirs. Once Lan Wangji felt better, they returned to the surface and left the Cold Springs for the day.
