Redesign of Schlossplatz Bad Rodach . In terms of shape and function, the Schlossplatz currently fulfills the needs of a school break area. . The demolition of the school building and the redesign gave the place its new function as a city square and event space with a representative character. The schoolyard and the courtyard of the hunting lodge become a uniform and harmonious area. By continuing the paving of the Herrengasse in the square area, a continuous covering carpet is formed, which integrates all historical buildings as a matter of course and connects the old town into a whole. In the north, long granite benches with wooden supports also form the transition to the parking area on the city wall. Other park benches are located on the paths along the city wall. . They form small dwellings with a view of the wall, the playground, or the historic buildings and also enable people with reduced mobility to experience the place in small stages. Bicycle hangers are located decentrally at the important entrances. On the open space at the copper tower, the protected location behind the town hall is used for a playground. .
