So i used to subpost on Facebook a lot in my youth (shocker)

And there was this guy on my friends list, back when I still added customers from my job whose faces I recognized, and he would come in after bar close drunk as fuck and would complain about his girlfriend and hit on me while I was trying to work. Kind of like involuntary therapist but I was getting paid to make doughnuts not therapize a drunk dude.

I was barely a legal adult, not even old enough to drink yet, this guy is at least 3-4 years older than me, and it bugged the shit out of me because I was just trying to get paid not do whatever that shit was.

So anyway one night after he came in I took to Facebook and made a post for him, idr what it was anymore but something direct about flirting when you're clearly in a relationship on fb, and I changed the privacy setting to "specific friends-his name"

Idr what if anything came of it, but i do know that over time either my shift got changed or he stopped coming in. Anyway.

Every time I go to change my privacy settings I see his name there. It's been almost a decade. Seriously.

And like, I can go to that setting, remove him, select another friend, save it, and when I go to check on it Facebook has it saved as a "custom" setting now, as opposed to "specific friends." Nothing I do REMOVES IT FULLY.

Ive submitted 3 different bug reports, the second being the most detailed and the third being from today (the first two were in 2024) and im about to block the dude just to see if it'll make his name disappear from my settings because HOLY FUCK is this really what I get for subposting specifically @ him instead of for my whole friends list to see???

Anyway moral of the story here is if you're going to subpost, say it with your whole chest. Let everyone see and tag them directly if you're able.
