Chaos doesn’t seem like the kind of person (deity) that would be into dating at all, but like,,, imagine a relationship with the literal primordial creator of everything. The things they could do for you, literally able to create and summon up anything you want. The unique way of showing affection they have with the way they talk, they’d be all “child of (parent) you have become the object of my- what the humans would call affections. Would you be willing to return said affections, and engage in what the mortals call, a relationship?” The shock the from the rest of the gods that this absolute beacon of power saw some random lesser god/moral and went “yeah I like them I’ll devote my affections to them”. The fact they’d inherently just know everything about you and all your deepest fears and desires, you couldn’t keep a secret from them.

It’d be,,, one very interesting relationship that’s for sure.

Hypnos didn’t really want to go to the banquet. But his mum made him at least make an appearance. Too many people, too loud, too bright, he’d rather be sleeping. But by the gods Zagreus was glad to see him, it was rare to see Hypnos in anything aside from sleep wear. All it took was one look and the prince was smitten. He knew who he’d be spending the rest of the night with, away from all the noise and people. Just the two of them.

Plurality isn’t always scary

Even if the world will never be normal about plurality, that doesn’t mean you can’t learn to work with it and achieve functionality. Even though I don’t think we’ll ever be fully functional, we’re at a point where most days are calm and everyone gets along. Sure, I can’t remember three whole years of my life. Sure, I can’t control who switches and when. But we communicate well enough to trust each other no matter what happens.

No, plurality isn’t always easy. But I’d not trade the system for the world.

Hypnos and the Oneroi

My headcanon is that the Oneroi take on more spirit like forms, aside from Morpheus who was the first one made and Hypnos was still working out how to make them. Morpheus is more like Hypnos’ flesh and blood child and the rest of them are more parts of his spirit or soul personified. They don’t talk with words, but can all understand each other and Hypnos can understand them too. They glow, fly around, make little giggly and chime like noises and can form into any shape they like to create the images in dreams with. They exist purely inside the dream scape and peoples dreams, so they don’t see much of other gods. They love to play games and pranks and have their hair done by Hypnos, they sleep in big cuddle piles and are overall cute little cheeky creatures.

Age must be so fucking annoying in the monster high universe. Like you’ve got monsters who age like humans so, then there’s monsters like vampires and mummy’s who are like 4000 years old but still look and act 16. There’s some undead monsters who are permanently stuck the age they died. There’s monsters like Frankie who were MADE to be a certain age like 16 but have only actually been alive and breathing like 5 days.

So how is age measured in universe? I’d assume it would be based on someone’s mental age, like their mental development (if they can understand the world around them, if they can consent, if they can handle adult responsibilities etc) rather then their physical one. Bc again you’ve got 1000 year old vampires that are still bodily 16.

Like is there a test you have to take? A medical procedure? Is each species studied enough to know when in that species life they become a consenting adult who can drink alcohol and drive and stuff?

And life for the monsters who don’t bodily age must be a blessing and a curse. Like yay! Young and beautiful forever, none of the problems that come with getting old! But you just KNOW there’d be some creeps who go after the monsters who are bodily young but mentally an adult for the wrong reasons.

TLDR give me an official outline on how age works in the monster high universe please because there’s no way it can be simply just the number of years you’ve been around.

BOTW AU where Link is trans but he forgets that he’s trans. He wakes up w no memory but he looks like a guy, feels like a guy and everyone is calling him a guy so he doesn’t question it. He just thinks his top surgery scars are from the battle he almost died in or something. He goes like this for ages until one day he suddenly starts cramping and bleeding (even more ironic if it was on the blood moon) and he’s like “oh fuck I need to see a doctor”. He’s thinking he’s like sick or cursed or something so he goes to a doctor and explains everything. The doctor is just like “… can I see your chest for a second?” And sure enough, surgery scars. This boy is trans. So they’re all “Link do you not remember you’re trans?” And Link’s like “I’m what?”

The doctor is like oh my Hylia he doesn’t remember he’s trans and has to explain everything and suddenly so much makes sense to Link but he’s also like “TF YOU MEAN I WAS BORN A GIRL???”
