My favourite mathematical fallacy ever goes like this:

a = b

Multiply both sides by a,

a² = ab

Subtract b² from both sides

a² - b² = ab - b²

Factorise

(a + b)(a - b) = b(a - b)

Divide both sides by a - b

a + b = b

As stated in the beginning, a = b, so

2b = b

Did you spot the mistake? Answer under the cut

The mistake is after factorising. You can't divide both sides by a - b, because if a and b are the same that would mean dividing by 0, which is undefined in maths.

Oh boy, so lately I've been obsessed with the game Sunless Sea. The basic premise is that you sail a dark underground sea filled with strange and often dangerous places and people. A lot of the game is sailing to different islands and trading goods for other goods and getting story bits along the way. This is now starting to affect Nicea (in a good way). If it were Sunless Sea it would look something like

Von gives you questionable advice and 7 x Unsellable Keychains.

[much later in the book] An occurrence! Your Nicea Engine Quality is 0 - Completely Unusable! You are now stranded several lightminutes from the nearest Svando's.

The Autobot’s and Decepticon’s have been fighting like normal on Earth, but that all changes when Adaptus arrives. It’s not only him, but some of the Prime’s that he’s brainwashed/controlled.

since ive been enabled.... someshit that lives in my head rn is how much i think i really want more artisan charas tbh. not even just my own ocs but i feel like travelling craftsmen or charas w those kinds of hobbies r so underutilised in stories. ive been recommended so much cake making vids alongside sugar art crafting orDIY fashion videos and i always kind of feel like theres a side to loving creativity that needs to be explored in stories more. lots of comics abt artists and the art making process but its always nice to see some unconventional artisan charas in media. ceramic pottery makers. patisseriers. cake decorators.

"where would they fit in an action story" WELL UTILISE THEM THEN! with craftsmen there is skill and prowess that could be applied and translated to other places. im just sayin it'd be so cute to see more stories about appreciating these small fine arts because most often than not people kind of just look away or don't look at it.
