13) Your favorite friendship they have

Ok honestly I’m gonna say Max. And like maybe I’m just being asexual but I love the way this show portrays their canon couples as actually friends (stark contrast to a *certain* ship) first because I think that level of mutuality and resect is SO necessary for an important relationship; and as the “single friend” who got kicked to the side by people getting into (especially first) relationships, showing that character can go through Hell and back both literally and metaphorically and support each other, but also not want to leave behind their friends in the process is so important.

Also I love how shy he was about asking her out. He wants to be there for her so badly, but he also respects her space and I love that for them.

Also Mike. We need more platonic Wheelclair (I will forever read that as wheelchair i’m SORRY) in s5 because like him willingly going out in the rain to be there for Mike when he had to chase down his boyfriend after their fight? Giving major “hey bro we don’t go out alone when it’s dark and raining. We don’t need to lose another party member” and it’s fantastic. Also their banter about new coke? Hilarious. I love how Finn and Caleb play off each other. I want all of it.

7. Will with a gun or Will with powers?

Hmm if Will has powers, I don't want him to be all "evil" about it, and I think that would also be lazy/cruel writing (just my take). I *do* believe he *has* them (I've written pages of analysis in my downtime after rewatching the seasons), but I still favor seeing this boy with a gun.

12. Van scene or bedroom scene?

bedroom scene!! the van scene was rlly good obviously but i'd have to pick the bedroom because while i love gay pining i love it even more when they're awkwardly packing for the apocalypse and kinda flirting and 'cool.' 'cool.' and 'friends, best friends.' it's just so sweet and makes me really happy 🥰

17. Mike calling Will only for the line to always be busy or Will watching as El received tons of letters from Mike?

mike calling will, i love that it's kind of unseen in the show and its subtext we've discovered, and i always love my poor mike to have post-will-leaving-for-cali angst. i feel like he would kind of feel left behind, and then realise maybe it's him leaving will behind, and then the pipeline from that to feeling really confused about his feelings for his best friend is a lovely and not straight pipeline

hot take: i don't believe in flickergate. your opinions?

HMMM okay i do like the idea of it a lot as i like the full circle sort of implication of the byler first kiss happening in the same spot as their first scene and their s3 fight and i also really like the idea of original david bowie version of heroes playing in that scene because i'm a sucker for parallels and the thematic implications of the stripped back peter gabriel cover playing both times mike thought he lost will and the more triumphant version playing when he finally knows he has him is just MWAH 💋

THAT BEING SAID i do think the idea of their kiss causing the electricity to flicker from the upside down or whatever is a little silly.. like i'm sure they could pull it off in a way that feels more natural but on paper it's a bit dramatic

i guess i'd say i like a lot of the aspects of it but i'm not sure if i buy the entire theory really playing out

It's in my tumblr name hehe! Mike calling Will. Just because I've been that someone left behind while the person I'm in love with moves away, and wanting to reach out but thinking they're better off without me discovering new things in their new town while I don't wanna be a drag. Especially when I make an effort to reach out and come up empty. But also because I LOVE miscommunication tropes!

You make me feel like I'm not a mistake. Just, wow. Hearing slurs your entire life and knowing the normal life everyone else around you seems to be living will never suit you, to the point that you swear "I'm not gonna...fall in love," but there is one person that makes this all worth it. The pain, the secrets, the non-conformity, the risk of losing it all to live your truth, the societal shame, the violence, your rights being stripped away from you. You risk all of this because that one person, the one that's been beside you almost your entire life, makes you feel loved, understood, protected, safe. My god. What’s the best engagement/interaction/feedback you’ve received from someone who’s read your work? - I have a pretty old fanfic with like 19k hits, so while I kind of don't like it anymore, it's still my best one as for fave feedback - my Orphan Black fanfics would often get read and commented on by my fave authors since the fandom is pretty small. I always loved seeing them around :)

Dream job- I always find this question pretty hard to answer because it changes all the time. Obviously once I finish college I want to do something that I’m most confident in- health and social care, so maybe a career mental health related.

Dream trip- Tokyo! This has literally been my dream city to visit since I was little. I just love the look of skyscrapers at night and going shopping there and trying all the food is just so exciting to me. It’s just really expensive to travel there but hopefully one day 🤞
