it's been pointed out before that super robot lifeform & gen selects primus were intentionally based on g1 rodimus. we don't think solus's helm in transformers one is intentionally similar 2 idw1 rodimus but there definitely is a similarity, which we 💜 as a trans rodimus enjoyer

(if you're wondering what our personal headcanon has been for years regarding various canon continuities, that would be rodimus as a transfemme, and we happily recognize reads in other ways as long as no punching down is involved)

For those who don't get the joke, Robots in Disguise (2001) was originally an anime called Car Robots, which featured a new character named Fire Convoy.

The rank of "Convoy" was an Autobot title made to honor Optimus Prime and held by bots who had an uncanny resemblance to Oppy, such as Lio Convoy, Lio Jr., Big Convoy and Black Convoy.

i had a half baked theory in my head but i didn't know how to describe it so have the pertinent info. in meme format instead.

the head of the laurel wreath galaxy was named aurelius, likely after the roman emperor marcus aurelius. 'veritas' is the name of the roman goddess of truth and ratio's 5th and 6th eidolons are in latin, so it's possible he's from a roman-inspired region (although his design also has greek aspects).

amphoreus having an achievement called 'philosopher king' also might be hinting at a connection to the laurel wreath galaxy since that was aurelius' title. so i'm not saying ratio doesn't have ties to amphoreus, it's just that there might be more to the story

On Monday, Marvel put out a new Loki trailer, previewing the final two episodes of the season. The trailer briefly shows Mobius living out a normal life, presumably as he did before he was recruited into the Time Variance Authority.

Since then the Loki fandom, famed for its carefully considered reactions, has gone from debating whether Mobius is married/divorced/widowed to wondering if Mobius is secretly Thor. (Or Balder.) This is all based on approximately three seconds in a trailer for two episodes.

Apparently word got around that Mobius's real name is "Don," which could make him Don Blake. In the comics, Don Blake was the human alter ego of Thor. (Or Balder, in the other comics. This is confusing.) I have absolutely no idea how anyone decided Mobius is named "Don" in the first place. It's the same kind of logic that gave us "Someone said 'the devil' in WandaVision, so Mephisto is the next Thanos."

At issue here is, as usual, Lokius. If Mobius has a family life outside the TVA, you see, then he might not be willing or able to consummate his fanon romance with Loki. Or, if he's somehow a variant of Loki's adoptive brother, it would get real awkward for Lokius shippers who have insisted that it's wrong to pair Loki up with Sylvie because they ought to have more of a sibling dynamic. (Loki, who once fucked a horse, could not be reached for comment.)

Anyway, the next episode of Loki drops later tonight, and there's doom and gloom in the fandom about the possibility that Lokius has been Thorki all along. I've already seen someone denounce this "twist" as homophobia and queerbaiting. Because, you see, Disney deliberately designed this show to get fans to infer an mlm relationship, and now Disney is going to dick around with said relationship just to spite those fans, which wouldn't increase their profits by one cent, but for some reason they're bound and determined to do it anyway? I need to lie down.

Takara Tomy YouTube Channel Releases The “More Than Meets The Eye” G1 Episodes

As part of the promotional campaign of the new Transformers Missing Link Convoy/Optimus Prime toy, the official Takara Tomy YouTube Channel have just uploaded the Japanese dub of the first three episodes of the G1 cartoon “More Than Meets The Eye”. The Transformers cartoon was titled Tatakae! Chō Robotto Seimeitai Transformers/Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers in Japan with the respective Japanese dub. We have the chance to appreciate how Transformers was released for the Japanese market where kid grew up with Convoy rather than Optimus Prime.

I feel like Swerve will have to be this weird middleman, since he has knowledge of both cybertronian and human cultures (and sees himself as both human and cybertronian). That will lead to him having to mediate between the cybertronians and humans to help them understand each other better, since it's easy to see they are all moving toward a relationship, and understanding each other is important.

So with the cybertronians he's gonna have this conversation where he basically explain to them that the humans are very fragile and can't really survive outside of their planet without help (this is mostly for deadlock), and that humans live very short life, which means as much as they love them they would have to be aware of the fact that their time together will be short, and that would mean that they would have to bare the pain of loosing them. And they have to fully consider this fact before getting in any kind of relationship

Even though he himself, probably, haven't really grasped that fact, or knowledged it completely.

And then he has the conversation with the humans where he explains about mechanical lifeforms and their differences from organic lifeforms, and the fact that they technically don't really have gender or anything to tell them apart in that aspect (which is super important for their race) , or the most important fact that they are an acesexual species that reproduced completely differently and value close relationships and bonds... Which at the end will basically boil down to "I'm not saying you were planning to, but just in case, you can't fuck the giant alien robots, I'm sorry. "

Oh he absolutely would have these awkward little q&a sessions with everyone ahahah
