The brand-new Nevarro marketplace was bustling with vibrant life. You swept through the crowd with Grogu in your arms, looking for things that would brighten up your new home. On your way to the florist, a smaller stall filled with art supplies caught your eye. 

After being on the run for so long, it would be nice for Grogu to get to be a child for once and do normal childlike activities. You and Din already enrolled him in the local school and the supplies would be useful as well. You looked over the many different mediums laid out on the table. 

“Do you want to try watercolors or crayons, Grogu? Or maybe acrylics?” You tapped your chin. His babble did not offer much help for your indecision, but you came to a decision soon enough.

“I’m home!” You announced, balancing a bouquet of red and yellow flowers in one arm along with a bag filled to the brim with half the art supply stall and Grogu in the other. You made your way to the kitchen and set him down on his high chair. 

Din appeared from the bedroom, helmet-free, and rushed to take the overflowing flowers from you. “I could have helped you carry all this.”

“We could handle it.” You turned to Grogu, setting down the bag of art supplies in front of him. “Right, sweetheart?”

“What are these?” Din peeked inside the bag and pulled out a pan of watercolors. He inspected the box as if he’d never seen them before. You supposed being brought up under the Creed and being a bounty hunter most of his life didn’t allow time for leisurely activities like coloring. Maybe arts and crafts would be good for both boys. 

“For Grogu, figured it’d be a nice little hobby for him.” You took out the stack of papers you bought and the rest of the supplies, laying it all out on the table for Grogu to choose from. He grabbed for a silver marker, fumbling with it a bit, teething on the cap. You helped him uncap it and drew a simple circle. “See? You can draw with it.” 

When you placed the marker back in his hand, he recreated your circle, a bit lopsided and wobbly. You clapped your hands and cheered, “Perfect! Good job, bug.” 

He let out a cheerful giggle and continued dragging the marker across the page in random directions. 

Din chuckled. “He’ll be an artist in no time.”

The two of you got to work preparing dinner, leaving Grogu to continue drawing at the table. You would occasionally glance back at his artwork, seeing the new colors he was using and attempting to decipher what he was drawing. Din guessed it was a mountain and you chose a tree.

By the time you were setting the table, he’d gone through several sheets of paper, filled with various scribbles and colors. 

You plucked the marker from his hand and shook your head when he whined. “You’ll get to draw after dinner.”

Neither of you would have imagined the monster you created by giving him art supplies. He drew day and night, changing mediums and improving by the day. You and Din would sit and draw with him whenever you were free, praising each abstract doodle and painting. But, his paper supply was running thin and you were planning to take a trip to the market again. 

“Hey!” 

You poked your head into the living room to find Din crouched by the front door, running his finger across a blob of green marker colored onto the wall. As you approached, you realized it was not just a blob, but a head with two long ears sticking out. On either side of the head was another drawing that looked suspiciously like Din’s helmet and your face. 

“A family portrait?” You mused, a proud smile forming on your lips as you crouched beside the two. You picked up a red marker and uncapped it to draw a large heart around the three heads. 

“Hm,” Din hummed, “Perfect.”

I know some people think that fnaf should have ended at pizza sim, but tbh I dont think so. i understand not liking the new era. you literally dont have to. it's just personal preference. but also if your problem is with the continuation of the old story, ruin confirmed that anything that could have affected the old story didn't (example: pizza sim existing. burntrap existing. the blob existing, all implying that the fnaf 6 characters never died and are still here)

but in ruin, burntrap was disproved (idk if it's a retcon or not lmao), glitchtrap was just the mimic mimicking Afton, all that the fnaf 6 location does is just be there, and the blob isnt implied to be any souls or anything. in fact its implied to just be on the mimics side as an evil robot.

but my point is that the SW era doesnt affect the old story. in a good or bad way. and if it doenst affect the story that you think should have been where it ended, then it really is over. that story is over, but this one has just begun

all it does is take place in the Fazbear universe. it's a brand new story with new characters with just the brand and animatronics being brought over.

once again u dont have to like it, but it's great for people like me who do love it, and you can still believe that the first fnaf storyline ended at pizza sim because it did :) doesn't mean the entire franchise had to! its just personal preference all the way through

Can we all please agree that if Monty is not in DLC or an update, it's a slap in the face to Monty fans?

Before you go

"Well, your just mad your favorite didn't make it," or "Well, my favorite didn't make it."

First off, yeah, I would have loved to see some more of the FNAF6 cast. The usage of the Rockstars, even as cameos, would have been excellent. I'm still perplexed at why Scraptrap and Molten were axed (although the latter connection to the blob has me think they have something planned)

At the same time, this game's main focus was Sister Location and Security Breach.

When the game was first announced, I thought it would be Sister Location and FNAF6, with a smidge of Security Breach.

HW1 is primarily FNAF 1-3, with FNAF 4 and SL being merged. This is why even though I wanted to see Ballora, it was alright. The game's focus was never on the Funtimes; they were more of a bonus. It sucks that the DLC excluded her, but it was a "Hey, we didn't use many of the FNAF4 animatronics, here's some unique games for them."

Then you get to HW2, and the entire animatronic cast of SL is in this game. Believe me, I was not expecting Fun-Time Foxy at all. The real focus of this game is SB. Every animatronic but Monty gets voice lines, a minigame, or a unique scene. Monty gets a statue and plushie; that's it.

I think it's more upsetting that it seems SW saw all of the "Monty killed Bonnie, we hate him posts" and decided that they would double down on it. It's already been annoying being a Monty fan, with people not understanding whether or not Monty killed Bonnie. People can like characters that are GASP, not entirely good. (also, this is the same series with a child killer).

It sucks that the only thing Monty fans get is some dumb gutterball animation that strokes the fires of that debate. Not only do we not have Monty, but we also have to deal with "Monty KiLled BoNnIe" all over again.

Before you come at me saying I'm being over dramatic. Imagine if Roxy, Chica, Freddy, Sun/Moon, or DJ were missing. Imagine if, once again, Vanny didn't appear. That your favorite was the only one not in the game. At the same time, you saw everyone getting new content and fans talking about how their faves got new lines or lore. You are stuck being told to be grateful over a statue.

I don't need Monty to have major importance or whatever suddenly. Considering he's possibly dead after Ruin, and HW2 is set before that game. It would have been nice to see him one last time in VR, which is part of the appeal.

My only hope is that they decide to save Monty for DLC because his minigame or whatever they had planned took too much time, and they didn't want to rush it.

Right now, it feels like we're being punished for liking the "wrong" animatronic.

Hmm...

So I finally got out of the house today in a semi okay mood after weeks of basically being inside. Doing some Christmas shopping since I'm going to my cousin's over the holidays. Bought a few new things, I shameless went straight to the medium section and everything I tried on fit and one of the tops a size 12UK even needs to be altered as it's too big. I know I'm still fat but honestly I'm proud of myself. I at one point about 8 years ago before I started down this spiral started buying size 30UK tops to cover up all the fat in baggy clothes and had 24UK Jeans so the fact my size 14UK jeans are now looking baggy is everything. I have to say I hate the way my body looks because of the loose skin but so much better than being morbidly obese. I also can't believe I'm under 70kg that's wild I'm less than half of my SW of 145kg that's actually crazy.

Anyways even though I get spikes of highs from the weight loss most of the time I feel fatter than ever. I honestly can't win, I hope this gets better as I get closer to my UGW but I have a feeling it will just get worse...

I have to go visit family in March that I haven't seen since I was like 12? That's actually crazy and I don't want to go looking like a fat blob so my target is to get under 60kg by then which should be about 2 dress sizes which is wild. I'll be like a UK8 and I have zero memory of ever buying anything in that size maybe the beginning of primary school?

My mum's trying to sabotage me, she keeps saying I can stop now since I'm skinny and I'm like where? Does she realise my BMI is still overweight and I still look like a whale? I'll definitely have to stop updating her of my milestones especially when I get in the 50kg range she will definitely freak out. Kind of hate being of an African heritage in that sense because of the skewed body image. However my aunt is super skinny so I should be able to get away with it.

Anyways, just though I'd come on here and spill my thoughts as I'm currently feeling super anxious and unfulfilled and unable to enjoy my art, I just keep feeling like there is no point since I'm rubbish and I don't have talent which I know is hard consistent work. My head is just scrambled.

Hoping to get to 50kg in 2025! Going to Africa, Canada (to see my sister) and maybe Greece? So I definitely need to lock in.

Gochujang, the fermented Korean chile paste, offers intrigue in this otherwise classic chewy sugar cookie. A gentle amount of ground cinnamon lends snickerdoodle vibes, and the dough is raked through with ripples of clay-red gochujang “caramel,” in which brown sugar and butter mellow the chile’s heat. Mixing this dough by hand is highly recommended for the most defined crinkles and the chewiest texture.

Ingredients [Yield: About 8 large cookies]

½ cup (8 tablespoons)/115 grams unsalted butter, very soft 2packed tablespoons dark brown sugar 1heaping tablespoon gochujang 1cup/200 grams granulated sugar 1large egg, at room temperature ½tsp coarse kosher salt or ¾ tsp kosher salt ¼tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla extract ½tsp baking soda 1½cups/185 grams all-purpose flour

Preparation

Step 1 In a small bowl, stir together 1 tablespoon butter, the brown sugar and gochujang until smooth. Set aside for later, at room temperature.

Step 2 In a large bowl, by hand, whisk together the remaining 7 tablespoons butter, the granulated sugar, egg, salt, cinnamon and vanilla until smooth, about 1 minute. Switch to a flexible spatula and stir in the baking soda. Add the flour and gently stir to combine. Place this large bowl in the refrigerator until the dough is less sticky but still soft and pliable, 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 3 While the dough is chilling, heat the oven to 350 degrees and line 2 large sheet pans with parchment.

Step 4 Remove the dough from the refrigerator. In 3 to 4 separately spaced out blobs, spoon the gochujang mixture over the cookie dough. Moving in long circular strokes, swirl the gochujang mixture into the cookie dough so you have streaks of orange-red rippled throughout the beige. Be sure not to overmix at this stage, as you want wide, distinct strips of gochujang.

Step 5 Use an ice cream scoop to plop out ¼-cup rounds spaced at least 3 inches apart on the sheet pans. (You should get 4 to 5 cookies per pan.) Bake until lightly golden at the edges and dry and set in the center, 11 to 13 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through. Let cool completely on the sheet pan; the cookies will flatten slightly and continue cooking as they cool. The cookies will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

These are the best cookies I have ever eaten! I used the exact ingredients, but I patted out the cookie dough (which was much firmer than Eric's in his video - I have a cold house and my flour may be drier than his) and spread the gochujang unevenly on top, then rolled it up in a log, chilled in the freezer for 15 minutes and cut in thick slices. I got 24 beautiful, crunchy, sweet, salty & spicy cookies with a beautiful swirl pattern. I'm making them again tonight! Kristen 2 years ago

These were incredibly delicious. The gochujang caramel adds a subtle spice reminiscent of gingerbread. However, I would have swirled the gochujang caramel into the dough before it chilled and stiffened to more easily achieve the proper rippling effect. Dorinf 2 years ago

Yes you can make them smaller. I used a 2 TBS scoop (1/8 cup) and cooked for 13 minutes. The 19 resulting cookies were 3" in diameter and delicious. Ellen 1 year ago

Re: the swirling. After reading others notes, I came up with my own approach. Before chilling, I warmed up the gochujang sauce to make it a little thinner, pressed the dough down in the bowl a bit, and did about half a tablespoon of drizzle back and forth over the dough. Then I folded the dough in half and repeated three or four times - basically a lamination approach. Chilled for 15 minutes, and proceeded. It worked beautifully, with big thick ribbons of caramel through the cookies. Adam LeClair 2 years ago

These are mind blowing! I veganized these using 3tbsp Just Egg and vegan butter and it worked flawlessly. I found the dough to be a little crumbly at first, which isn’t unusual for vegan cookies, but after 15 min in the fridge it came together. I also only had a 2 tbsp cookie scoop instead of a 1/4 cup scoop called for and it worked out great - 12.5 min worked for me but I started checking at 11. Make these! Holmestead 2 years ago

Egg whites make cookies crunchy. Bakers actually remove egg white from recipes to make their cookies chewier; that's why so many cookie recipes with the word "chewy" in their title will call for 1 egg+ 1-2 yolks. This is also why whites are called for in recipes where you want "stiffening" action, like meringues and coconut macaroons (they help dry out and harden the coconut) and even royal icing. mellowbaker 2 years ago

Love it, the cookie had a great flavor profile - especially if you’re someone who has enjoyed miso cookies in the past - this recipe creates similar umami notes. I struggled to mix the caramel in properly without over-mixing. Ultimately, I did over-mix the two components which caused the cookies to spread too large. Next time I would dollop a bit of the caramel on top of each cookie and swirl it in with a offset knife or something, to avoid this issue. Hannah C 2 years ago

This was truly a perfect cookie. Sweet & chewy with a slight surprise from the gochujang. I was skeptical before making, but Eric Kim never misses. Nice cookie--like a snickerdoodle with a kick. A few people said it tasted like a bbq sauce-infused sugar cookie. I suspect that is about the brand of gochujang you are using, I used some from a nearby grocery store because I was out of my usual (which I buy at an Asian market) and also had this experience. Then I tasted the paste itself and…ick. It really did taste like bbq sauce. So maybe try again with better product? Midwesterner 2 years ago

Wow! Best cookie I’ve made in a while—and a nice different twist to add to cookie trays/care packages. Did 2 Tbl scoops, made 23, baked 13 mins. My gochugang was stiff so I had to microwave it a little, which I’m sure made the “caramel” easier to swirl (did before chilling dough). Definitely making again. Soon.

CHAPTER 7: DRIP

The shoes kept Knico walking through the forest. The clearing was close, but something caught Knico’s eye: a forest of giant mushrooms. A standout amongst the shrooms was a translucent one, glimmering like a giant jello under the soft, hazy forest sun rays. The golden shoes vibrated Knico’s feet to a pull away from the shrooms, but Knico insisted, “You don’t wear me. I wear you!” Knico walked towards the shiny mushroom. Fam followed. He excitedly started running towards it, then -- BLOOP! Knico & Fam were inside it. A giant blob of water swallowed them. Their weight started making it sink and wriggling into the ground. They started swimming to escape from it, but their efforts were to no avail. “The grround’s sw-allo-o-w-wing us, F-am!” was his mumble in the water. The blob drooped to a drip. Knico held himself to balance as the drip gradually collected weight. He could see that the underground was hollow, like a cave. Then he felt himself falling. Falling into the dark abyss…

There's a list of people like them and Garth and company are on it and now they don't plan to pay him now I'm going to get rid of them all get a bunch of s***. It's very exciting you're already possessed then sit there doing what he wants they could never figure it out why am I doing this why am I doing that it says it's Ramadan and it makes sense in some applications. But for real he's got a lot of power in your idiots and yeah that's a work on both ends of it stupid

Day 25

August 27, 2022

Another day off. Most of the team left to go to Folsom Lake at 10:00. We made a quick stop at a fast food place, then continued on to the park. I started a birding checklist while we were on the trail and added four new birds to my life list: oak titmouse, acorn woodpecker, California scrub-jay, and least sandpiper.

I didn’t realize it’s been three or four years since I’ve submitted an eBird checklist. While I didn’t get any quality photos of the birds (heck, I didn’t even *see* the titmice), I did capture a few grainy bird-shaped blobs with some noticeable field marks. However, I ended up IDing most of the birds by sight alone. I likely wouldn’t have noticed the sandpipers at all had I not crept up on them after mostly submerging myself in the lake; these were very tiny and inconspicuous birds, perhaps only slightly larger than a house sparrow.

We ended up swimming until around 13:30 before walking back and driving to another restaurant and then campus. We were free until until kitchen duty at 19:00. I swept and mopped with another teammate, then had dinner with the team. I went on the 22:00 patrol and was off for the rest of the night. Tomorrow is the first day of FEMA Basic, so I’ll have to get up somewhat early.
