the mafia au is kind of like the ✨essence✨ of a mafia au right now, and i'm not even sure that i'll flesh it out more tbh. it's about rival mafia bosses hyunjin & the fem reader insert. here's a snippet of a scene i just HAD to include, tw for some violence and gun mention though:

Across town, Hyunjin is trembling.

“Who the fuck did this?”

Both the blond and the dark-haired men stare ahead, somewhere past their boss.

“So help me god, speak up!”

The dark-haired man still refuses to meet his eyes. The blond steps forward, only to immediately be met with a resounding backhand to his cheek. His head swivels, but he doesn’t stumble.

“You fucking idiot,” Hyunjin fumes. He grabs the shorter man’s face, digs his fingers hard into the freckled cheeks. “I ought to put a bullet through your fucking skull for this. You don’t fucking touch her-”

'safe and sound' has a little bit of angst but is much sweeter and fluffier. started with the basic premise of chan picking up the reader after the reader was ditched by their friends after a night out:

“You look so pretty tonight,” he whispers, though it seems like he’s hardly even looked at you yet.

It takes you a moment to thank him, so overwhelmed by his kindness at this unkind hour when he should certainly be asleep by now. Your old partner would have complained about this whole situation, but Chan is different; he always has been.

Chan pulls back, holds you at arm’s length, smiles. “Come on. I grabbed you some food, you can eat it on the ride back.”

This time you can’t even voice your appreciation for his thoughtfulness. You just nod and do your best to smile back as he opens the passenger door for you to slip inside.

hehe yessss! in the beginning, it was only Jungkook, and Joon was my wrecker, then I read a fic that tortured me (in the best way), and I couldn't choose between the two! Then Yoongi, sneaked his way in 🥹

ahhh you asked about the oldest one on the list and the newest one! "til you make it" is more 'ready' but needs a reread + editing, and i want to map out the second part. i still don't know what form 'casablanca' will take, i might edit it down a lot and it could end up much shorter than what i've written already. we'll see! in the meantime, here are the snippets!

Pink obstructed his vision, the spot on the carpet he’d been so fixated on. Daisies made him snap out of his rage. And the hand on his knee interrupted his tirade on the injustices of the world. Looking up at you, the world suddenly seemed so beautiful - you were in it. “I’d never leave,” he says with a smile. “I’m fine....”

casablanca - knj

Jimin, your main fuckbuddy, suddenly brought it up while you were still in bed together after a particularly stressful and steamy night. “It’s different, and it’s clean - none of that 'funny' business you dealt with. It’ll do you some good. Plus the men are…. phew. Unbelievable, Y/N. Handsome. Educated - and not just the bullshitters who paid for their degrees. Actual smart, rich kids… You know, the people that might rule the world with their businesses or politics one day? It’ll do you some good to get involved with a guy as smart as you are… if you could find one in the crowd.”

I’m really looking forward to the bedroom hymns, dia !! If the wc is approaching 60k maybe you could divide the story into 3 parts with roughly 20k each or wherever there are natural breaks within the narrative.

I can only speak for myself here, but I LOVE long fics and I think 20k is a reasonable word count that isn’t too long for my attention span to be lost but just enough for readers to be really immersed into the story

Whatever you choose to do, I’ll read it regardless. I hope writing goes well for you. The premise of the story is very exciting !! ☺️

The last few times my word count reached 60k++ words were when I finished Blurred Lines and Of Bears & Bonds and that's exactly why both fics ended up being released in 3 parts. That's also why I've been thinking about splitting this one up too. Although I'm not too sure if it's really going to be 60k words because it can be more since the opening scene itself is currently almost 5k words rip

I do have to agree with you about the length. I think 10-20 words are pretty reasonable for Tumblr. I'll probably write the entire thing first before deciding how I'm splitting things up, though. Thank you for the support and for motivating me with this one. I'm so excited to share this story too!!

Hi!! I’m new to reading your works and I recently came across Lacuna. I’m in the middle of reading it as of now and I am wowed. Your writing flows so nicely!! I planned on bookmarking it to read at a later time but once I started, I couldn’t stop. The way you portrayed the inner conflict of characters and captured moments between them were beautiful. Your writing is poetic without it being too flowery. It conveys emotion and prompts us readers to think introspectively which I really appreciate !!

and WOOF! i just turned 28 and i think i started when i was 11 or 12? not consistently, though. i go through periods of writing intensely and then not doing it for years. that’s mostly due to life circumstances and not disinterest; i’ve always loved it 🥹

still got a lot to improve on, though! i’m the featherweight champ of comma splices and i reaaaaaally need to work on that 🤪

Ummm so Tae is the one I started with but timeline-wise, Namjoon's begins first. In fact the fic I posted today takes place just a month or so before the first Tae fic, so I'd suggest one of them - but honestly, you can start with whomever you like, lmao.

thank you so much for sending this in, i really appreciate it. i admire you so much, you're one of my favourite writers so i'll admit i squealed when i saw you sent me an ask. i am doing really good actually! i had a really bad relationship with tumblr, and me being a part of the bts community was really unhealthy for me. so i haven't been keeping up with anything for a while but i still love the tannies dearly.

however, i do miss writing and my old fics sometimes. i am not actively writing right now but i do have a side archive/writing blog i am willing to share with any mutuals who're still interested. so if you are, just let me know. it only has a couple of my old fics and it'll be where i post any new stories if, (big if) inspiration strikes. this is a hobby after all. ☺️

oh i’m glad that the weather’s been nice for you and that you’re getting some writing done. it really is the small things that impact us.

i’m doing okay ( just feeling a bit I’ll tbh). i’m currently on a term break which i’m really excited about, more than I should be, aha. this semester was tough but also really rewarding?? we also recently had a snow storm so i’ve been staying in for the most part and spending time with loved ones. i hope to get some writing done. i have a few fun ideas…but idk it’s really hard to write these days. but i feel like if i don’t force myself to write then at this point, i’ll never write again lol.

sorry to hear you're not feeling well though. :( and about the snow storm. that's the exact reason i moved somewhere with a milder climate lol. i hope you feel better soon before your break ends, whenever that will be!

and i hope you're able to write those ideas, too. i know how hard it is to write. i can't stand when i have tons of ideas and think about them all the time but i don't actually write them out. the trouble with me is that i hate writing first/rough drafts, even though there's literally nowhere else to start. 🙃 in my mind, every word needs to be perfect from the start. or edited right away. i'm getting better about breaking out of that mindset, though. what's making it difficult for you to write at the moment? time? motivation?

i wish i had some advice but i'm always like "do whatever you want" about basically everything 😅 if forcing yourself to write will help get the creative juices flowing, you should try it. pick whichever idea you're most excited about, break down the scenes you want to have, or just start writing the first scene (or the last scene, or the most dramatic scene), or just start putting some random cool sentences together that you want to make sure go into the story. i'm all for whatever will work lol.

I just wanted to mention how brave I think you are for making a decision on what you write and share! I don’t think I’ve admitted this before to many if any people before, but I feel the exact same way about smut! It makes me super uncomfortable to write it! ( which is unfortunate bc lots of my wips have it, just don’t like writing all the nitty gritty details, yk?) wanna focus on the connection and storyline instead ☺️

From this moment forward don’t hesitate to do whatever you are comfortable with. Just because this is where you are at rn, doesn’t mean it can’t change in the future. I do like your suggestion of re-editing those particular fics. Maybe you could reblog them and add an authors note that they’ve been edited? It really depends on what you feel is right for you, whether you want to delete them or edit them instead. I support this 100% and sending you lots of love ! 🤍🤍

the nitty gritty details are exactly what bug me about it! i’m fine reading it but most of the times when i write i just feel so weird. i think focusing on storyline, connections, and even the characters as you said will also be a nice challenge for us & a way for us to improve or develop those aspects, which are arguably more important even though smut can be extremely fun.

i’m not sure what i’ll do just yet - maybe an edit as you described since that doesn’t seem like a “faux pas” but we’ll see. either way, thank you so much for this sweet message and the support. 🥹🥹🥹💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 always supporting you too and always here for you (also you describing this as brave low-key gave me butterflies i get so happy whenever someone describes me as brave ajshajwjja)
