i love petergwen so much and can't help but apply this scene to sydcarmy. i was influenced by a post by @afrofairysblog to post this. excuse my delusion, this is just me imagining and applying the lines to sydcarmy:

imagine after sydney reveals she is considering leaving and their explosive fight, sydney says defeated, "we keep failing at this partnership thing and maybe we were never meant to be partners. we clearly want different things. maybe we're on different paths."

carmy has the wake up call he needs and quicjkly begins his amends process with the people he hurt and who hurt him, and starts his first therapy session within a few days. off to a good start of his healing journey and knowing that every second counts, carmy asks sydney to have dinner with him. walking home from dinner he says the above.

"you're my path" sydney's his path because she is his future. she holds the ability to make all his dreams come true, to make his legacy come true. to make a panic-less, anxiety free environment.

"I choose you" after trying to convince himself for months that he wants claire, trying to fulfill some form of familial obligation and perfect cookie cutter life. the wake up call forced him to confront his true feelings for sydney and realizes who gives him peace, who he was doing all this for.

"i'm just gonna follow you everywhere, i'm just gonna follow you the rest of my life." he realizes his david fields inspired methods to get her star and prove he was worthy of her made everything worse. he remembers the brigade conversation and what she said her dreams were. to make her dreams come true he has to listen to her, he has to step back and let her take the reins. from there maybe their partnership begin to blossom.

im really hoping season 4 has sydcarmy reconcile and is it too much to ask for a declaration such as this. for carmy to open up to sydney and reveal his innermost thoughts and say he wants her in his future.

No talks about a Sydcarmy romance in S3 → Well, S3 is not endgame, so cool. I never expected them to serve it this early anyway, so to me NOTHING HAS CHANGED, but given their track record, I wouldn't be surprised if they are LYING.

Quick rant but i‘m struggling with the bear fandom and cast/show runners response to sydcarmy or in general romance? why is everyone so pretentious i saw someone on twt say people who ship sydcarmy need to get out because this is not riverdale and it pissed me off so much what’s with this assumption of two main characters falling in love makes the show less serious or something. Ayo‘s interviews are also still a bad taste in my mouth because i feel bad openly shipping them now idk i don’t want this to be one of those shows were the actors/creators hate their fans/fandom :/

Firstly confession I never watched an episode of Riverdale I tapped out that YA genre when I stopped watching PLL, TVD and the originals, so I don’t get the reference.

With fans of the show who hate the ship it’s layered: apparently people hate love, the romance genre, interracial love, Carmy being in love, Sud being the one he’s in love with and much more lmao. Some of these people have intersecting thoughts on this.

The articles from the cast and crew it’s a catch 22 situation, I’m a cynic so my approach to life is ‘expect the worst and be prepared for the best’. What they’re saying does not align with what I’m seeing and I’m aware that what I’m seeing is not say a stereotypical Redditor is seeing and that’s fine. I’m also aware that show runners need to keep viewer’s attention and want for more, hence cliffhangers and plot twists; they aren’t going to give us a play by play of the stories progression.

My suggestion is to do whatever you think is best for you and your mental health! That might be avoiding certain platforms where they engage in those conversations that might enrage you or it might be silent shipping.

For me it’s knowing what I’ll yet from each platform so if I go look I now what to expect

Twitter: is mostly a good time if you stay to the fandom tags, idk what anyone else is doing. I do know Twitter was fighting on the frontlines of the anti ship battle at one point and god bless them for their service.

TikTok: is great at helping you be delulu with all the fanedits lol but I know the algorithm is suggesting is anyone who is remotely interested in the show the the comments while mostly pro ship have some anti ship viewers as well.

Instagram: idk anything besides the official instagram for the show so you’ll get everyone’s opinions on everything.

Tumblr: is a safe space, all the ships have their own tags and mind their own business 🤍 that but also after having interacted with people who ship sydrichie / sydmarcus there wasn’t any animosity so great.

It’s a show, we’re experiencing escaping reality don’t let anyone ruin the fun for you. Be unbothered and delulu!

can folks refrain from gloating and twisting the knife because of the article from today please? we get it, we’re delusional and lack media literacy and we’re universally hated on here and every other social media app AND the press. we’ve have clearly upset the cast, might as well just tell us all to fuck off and die with how hated this silly ship is 😔

If you mean 'gloating and twisting the knife' as in me just reblogging and adding some tags to a singular post, please consider signing off for a few days or something. Bc that's all I did. There are people much worse on here who actually seek out arguments and make everyone's opinions their business. This is my blog and I promise you, me reblogging a stupid article is not attacking anyone. Block me if it's that bothersome.

And if the 'we' you're referring to is those who ship sydcarmy, than maybe you're in the wrong part of the fandom, bc I can guarantee sydcarmys are not 'universally hated' like you say. They're the majority. Read the room. Have a nice day.

So chefkids deleted/hid all her reblogs that linked to evidence of her plagiarism throughout her stint on SydCarmy Tumblr on one of her recent posts about Shakespeare. I'll link it here, including the initial response from my friend who rightfully pointed out that other SydCarmy fans (namely @currymanganese and @vacationship who posted about this well before CK)

When I initially confronted CK I was already fed up from her lies of omission, straight up plagiarism, plus her lack of interaction with the older fandom blogs which allows CK meta to appear to be the one person coming up with these analyses but I didn't outright accuse her until I saw her reaction when I gave her the opportunity to gracefully worm her way out of accountability by giving her a respectable out which is featured in the screenshot below.

She sent this thing basically saying she DIDNT summarize and she also DIDN'T see anyone else's post and that no one person owns Shakespeare which you can see the tail-end of here along with my reply (which linked to this post with more plagiarism evidence by @thoughtfulchaos773)

I wrote more but I didn't screenshot it. She blocked me shortly afterwards.

Her M.O generally would be to show up in the SydCarmy tag and post eerily similar meta (sometimes within hours of an original post) and not tag anyone, not even acknowledging other posts and only ever tag her own stuff.

Here is Chefkids posting the same observation she just so happened to INDEPENDENTLY find only days later on November 2nd 2023

One of her defenses (I'm summarizing bc she deleted and blocked) was that a lot of us have similar thoughts and her posts weren't outright plagiarism and she hasn't seen anyone else's meta posts.

And if you look at her stuff she doesn't like, reblog, or comment on other people's meta but I suspected she did this so she could claim she never saw anyone else's posts (which is exactly what she did).

She then switched up and said that her followers tag her to comment on stuff so her posts are stuff THEY brought to her attention, (so... she DOES see the posts? And she can't tag the OP's sent from her fans WHY exactly???)

then she changed her defense to "well i don't tag people because my posts are anti claire bear and they don't like that"

But in this post by @whenmemorydies ,who is FIRMLY anticlairebear AND a SydCarmy, she points out the 4th wall break July 1st 2024 (seen below)

CK then proceeded to take her "observation" uncredited to Twitter THE VERY SAME DAY. Why couldn't she tag where she got this idea from on Tumblr?

She also took to Twitter to say The Bear is a Love Story which is referring to a tag coined and popularized by Gingerylanglang (who I don't want to link because she isn't part of this but it is something several OG SydCarmys clocked immediately.

this list is by no means exhaustive. Had she merely apologized and agreed to do better it might have been fine. Instead she made one demonstrable lie after another and clearly wants to be seen as THE authority on The Bear fandom meta. It's so shitty how many people stopped sharing their beautiful and time consuming work for this egotistical shit

....and for fun here's her referring to HERSELF in the 3rd person essentially saying she knows The Bear better than everyone....

Why delete or hide reblogs showing proof of your stolen meta from BIPOC Bear fandom creators?

that's a weird reaction from someone who keeps assuring us it's all original work and nobody has a unique thought as a way to dismiss your stolen work (even down to incredibly niche references that most of us missed even on our 7th 8th and multiple rewatch).
