1- About Tony being the Villians' Favorite: CW happened and they get access to footage of the Siberia fight and they realize that cap could have killed Tony and they're like "how dare you???? Who do you think you are???" and at this point it's not even about who is going to kill Iron Man anymore, it's because Tony is the only one able the keep up with them, he gives them a good challenge, he has the best sarcastic answers for all the villian monologue, they don't even want to harm people anymore

2- they want to fight Tony to see who has the best weapons, who is smarter (it’s always Tony) so the rogues come back and they realize something: the bad guys barely attack Tony, they go out of their way to avoid attacking Tony and antagonize team cap and when confronted with this they say “well someone has to defend Mr Stark since all his supposed friends wouldn’t hesitate on turning their backs on him for some spoiled hydra agent who doesn’t know how to control their anger but sure knows how

3- how to control their anger but sure knows how to fuck up people’s mind” (and they keep getting her name wrong, they call her wilma, wendy, marta omg i love this headcanon where no one gets her name right)

Why thank you for this brilliant headcanon, darling! (I love that mixing up Wanda’s name post too, wasn’t there one where Thor always got it wrong and played stupid? It’s brilliant)

I just really like that the villains enjoy fighting Iron Man because he’s as much of a drama queen as they are–he knows how to put on, and more importantly how to appreciate, a good show, you know? Fighting Iron Man is like playing a really challenging game of chess, where they take each other’s weapons and minions out without hesitation, but even when the king loses, he’s never actually taken off the board (yup that metaphor sucks, I apologise to every chess player out there). 

And well, of course it’s also about pride. Everything is about pride. The villains who most frequently engage with Iron Man in combat obviously keep a score. They keep an eye on who gets the most hits in, who deals the most damage, who does a strategical retreat and so on. They also keep track on which Avenger is the most likely to interrupt their fun, so they know whom to take out in the beginning of a fight.

Only then one of them gets their hands on footage of a certain Siberian bunker and this shit suddenly gets serious. Iron Man could’ve been taken out (worth 150 points) by someone who isn’t even recognises as an official player and THAT CAN NOT STAND. 

(It’s got nothing to do with the fact that maybe Tony Stark isn’t all that bad, you know, for a superhero. Nope. It’s all about the game and wanting those 150 points to themselves. Their professional pride is on the line here, okay. It’s not because of feelings. Feelings aren’t a part of the villain manual.)

So, they adapt. They’re villains, they’re used to it. Admittedly usually because the hero pulls some impossible stunt at the last second because they stubbornly refuse to die, but that’s neither here nor there.

First, they assign someone to keep track on Stark. It’s not a protective duty. It’s just…an insurance. To make sure no outside influence becomes a serious threat to their fun. Besides after all this time they’ve invested into fighting Iron Man, should he ever actually lose, they all agree they have earned this honour. Not some lucky upstart or fucking turncoat.

Second, certain forces need to be taken out. Officially it’s destroying the competition–a perfectly acceptable, villainous goal–, unofficially some people take their hatred for Iron Man a little too far. And when you already have to watch out for the supposed heroes, you can’t afford some crazy nutcase to pop up every time you turn your back on Stark.

Then the Rogue Avengers come back. The villains have dragged it out for as long as possible, an obscene amount of bribes have gone into ensuring the Congress isn’t too forgiving too quickly, but Stark is determined to get the Rogues pardoned for whatever reason, and that’s not a battle they can win in the long run.

And that’s a problem. The Rogues have access to Stark in ways they have not. Thankfully at least Stark doesn’t stay at the Avengers’ compound anymore. That gives them a small reprieve.

(They don’t worry. Villains do not worry. It’s not in their genetic code, nor their moral codex for that matter.)

There’s a very serious discussion about grazing the stupid compound into the ground, but in the end they decide not to do it. For one, the risk of the Rogues being granted access to the Stark Tower is just too great. For another, it’s convenient to have a return address they could graze into the ground, should the Rogues ever cross a certain line.

Next, the villains create a time table. Whereas the media used to joke about the ‘weekly villain attacks’ back in the day, there are now carefully scheduled weekly attacks for real. It helps them to vent some of their frustration, at the right target no less. It also has the added benefit of keeping the Rogues busy.

Of course Iron Man joins in on the fun more often than not, but he isn’t the main target like he used to be, isn’t singled out. If anything it’s the Rogues that are being singled out, and they always bear the brunt of the fight.

(They do not go easy on Iron Man. They do not. They have simply shifted the focus of their game. Damage dealt to the Rogues is now worth way more points than before, and since every villain wants to take the lead, it’s only rational they concentrate on the most worth-while targets. That’s all there is to it.)

The first time one of them makes Wanda Maximoff scream in rage is an accident. To their great shame it’s not even a real villain who accomplishes it, it’s a fairly new minion who interrupts the shouting match between his boss and the witch with an annoyed, “Oh, shut up, Wen–Vick–Wally, whoever the fuck you are, I’m trying to concentrate here!”

It becomes a running gag then, to never call the witch by her name, and the longer they keep the joke alive, the more frustrated the witch becomes.

(The minion gets a well-earned raise.)

Eventually the Rogues catch on. Eventually they begin to ask questions. Giving them more ridiculous answers every time becomes another running gag. Inevitably though Rogers eventually runs into Cross Bones who has a tendency of taking his fights with Captain America too personal.

“Well someone has to defend Mr Stark since all his supposed friends wouldn’t hesitate on turning their backs on him for some spoiled hydra agent who doesn’t know how to control their anger but sure knows how to fuck up people’s mind!” he snaps. Then uses the frozen state of the stunned Captain to his advantage to break the man’s nose with a very satisfying crack. Because, hello, villain.

(He then promptly dives to the side to push a crying kid out of the way a crumbling building. Not because he cares about who gets hurt of course. Villains don’t care about this stuff. But everyone knows Tony Stark cares about it.)

He gets twenty-five points for breaking Roger’s nose. He also gets a “I don’t know why, but if a guy like Cross Bones decides to save a kids’ life I’m not gonna sit around complaining about it.” and a thumbs up from Tony Stark in that night’s talk show. 

(He does not care more about the thumbs up than about the points. His fellow villains are not jealous.)

There are a lot of villains-saving-civilians-and-innocent-bystanders incidents after that.

(Not that anyone cares what Tony Stark thinks. The saving people thing simply earns them bonus points. Bonus points are important.)

A person made a blog just to hate on Tony and his fans and went through the trouble of reblogging your post to say things without reason. I can't believe they still waste their time like that?? Why are they so bitter?? Imagine if the antis put that much effort into something better??? Wtf is wrong with them???

I dunno. I hate/dislike a lot of things but I would never make a blog just for hate. Hate is such a horrible, soul crushing thing. Waste of time and energy.

But the person still didn’t even get the point. Tony built weapons FOR the soldiers, which a good portion of them make up the Avengers. Sam, Rhodey, Bucky and Cap all served for the US military but nobody is complaining about them. (As they shouldn’t, because I will always support the soldiers, not the war. Those weapons protected those soldiers )

Somehow I doubt their real concern is the lives those weapons killed because they actually approved Steve and Co going into Lagos w/o telling its government and people died because they were careless. And then agree to say no to 117 countries from which I’m sure has a LOT of PoC in those countries. So I’m calling bull shit and blocking their ass.

Aw, Bucky cradling toddler Tony to his chest as Steve LOSES HIS SHIT and beats the crap out of all the kidnappers, bullets bouncing uselessly off his scales, covering Tony’s little ears as he carries him someplace quiet and safe to wait. He coos when Tony cries and snuffles his cold, wet nose over Tony’s chubby red cheeks until he quiets, and then Bucky tickles his tummy until he gives a watery giggle. Steve arriving and then going home, finding Maria crying and Howard ready to throttle Obadiah for insisting on trying to haggle for Tony’s life.

Bucky sets Tony down, and Tony toddles over to his mother, and Maria screams bloody murder even as she scoops her child up.

(Honestly I can’t imagine Howard not paying for ransom. He’d be pissed, but he’d pay it.)

A child is kidnapped. Outraged, the monsters that live under their bed and in their closet vow to find them.

I saw a post you reblogged that said that Steve was a representation of US interventionism, but how is Steve rebelling against the US military's orders (which he does in each of his movies) make him a representation of the US military? if anything he's a representation of the soldier who realizes the horrible things the military does and refuses to comply with those orders

preface: this is my interpretation of the post from context clues and my own interpretation of cap 3. this is not the op’s interpretation unless they would like to make a statement about it. Also you said ‘intervantionism’ but I’m pretty sure you meant imperialism (because that’s what the post talks about) and I don’t have any posts about interventionism, but if that is the wrong post, please tell me.

1) He did not rebel against US military orders. He rebelled against United Nations orders.

2) “Imperialism: a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force.” In Captain America: Civil War, he goes across a Lagos, Nigeria’s borders unauthorized with a military force and it resulted in 26 deaths, including 11 Wakandan relief workers.

3) Joe Russo even says: “We’re dealing with issues of collateral damage, imperialism, what rights do super heroes have to pursue villains across borders. It’s very politically minded. Cap’s dealing with all of that at the beginning.” (source)

4) American Military has been known to go across border’s we have not been given permission too, and we as a country always say we know better, for and than, other countries.

5) Quote from Steve: “What if this panel sends us somewhere we don't think we should go? What if there is somewhere we need to go, and they don't let us? We may not be perfect, but the safest hands are still our own.” Saying he wants to go somewhere where they don’t let them (read: not allowed) and that he knowns best on where to go when. Which goes with a quote from the post originally in caps: “it says we know better than everyone else.”

6) Steve says this beforehand: “No, but it's run by people with agendas and agendas change.” Steve himself has his own agendas (the whole movie was about his own agenda going after Bucky). So as stated in point #5: “it says we know better than everyone else.”

No, it’s a soldier who thinks he knows best for everyone, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a damn thing about what they need. Steve’s scared that the UN will make the Avengers do Something Bad like Hydra did in Shield? Well the world is scared of what the Avengers would do with no supervision.

It would be the equivalent of police brutality but instead of the few court cases that we get to determine if it was police brutality or not, it would just be Steve saying “it’s the best for you!” and no consequences. He’s refusing to comply with what the world wants from him, and what they want is a guarantee that he won’t try to control them.

Cling - Chapter 2

My teeth are rotting oh my god. More clingy baby Peter with good dad Tony featuring Papa Steve! I tagged everyone it would let me, sorry if I missed anybody! (Ps. I’ve seen this happen to parents and it’s hilarious.)

Chapter 1

Steve was standing at the sink rinsing the dishes from breakfast, Peter happily humming away in his high chair eating chopped up bananas and strawberries.

He was just putting the last of the plates onto the drying rack when he heard someone walk into the kitchen.

"Hi, Daddy!" Peter's cheery voice rang out.

Steve turned around in time to see Tony smile and wander over to Peter in his high chair.

"Hi, Petey-Pie!"

Steve and Peter hadn't gotten to see Tony yet today as he had to get up earlier for a morning meeting with the board. He had apparently gotten back awhile ago and had taken the time to change out of his usual three-piece Tom Ford and into an old pair of jeans and a faded t-shirt.

Peter smiled up at Tony from his chair, waving around a handful of mashed fruit.

"Daddy, look! Nanna!"

"You got a banana with your breakfast?" Tony sat down in the chair next to Peter's, smiling his thanks at Steve when he set a cup of coffee down next to him. "Looks like you got some strawberries too."

Peter nodded, squeezing the fruit in his hands and mashing it even more. He moved to put it in his mouth before he stopped, glanced at Tony - who was watching him with a small smile - and offered his hand to him.

"Wanna nanna?"

"No baby, you eat your banana," Tony said, leaning forward to brush Peter's hair back from his forehead. Peter leaned into the touch before going back to eating the mess in his hands.

"We're gonna need to get his hair cut soon," Tony murmured.

"Yeah, we can take him somewhere," Steve said, wiping down the kitchen table. "Actually, Tasha would probably do it if you asked."

"Probably." Tony turned to Steve. "How was your morning?"

"Good," Steve said with a smile. "Went to the gym to train with Bucky for a bit before Peter woke up. Then we came up here and made breakfast for everybody. You just missed them; Clint and Natasha had to go to SHIELD for a mission defending, Bucky went to do something with Sam, and Bruce had to go back to his lab."

"Thor still in Asgard?"

"Until Tuesday, at least." Steve sighed, looking around the kitchen. "You eat yet? I can make you something."

"No, they had some food at the meeting, I'm ok." Tony smiled up at his husband.

"Papa, I done," Peter said suddenly, messy hands raised towards Steve. Tony had to hold back a laugh.

It seemed Peter had gotten more banana on his face than actually in his mouth, along with some strawberry juice on top of it and on his hands.

"You are a mess," Steve laughed, grabbing a washcloth and wiping down Peter's hands and face. Peter made a face and tried to pull away, but Steve just grabbed his chin to keep him straight.

Steve lifted the dirty tray from the chair to go put it in the sink and wipe it down. Peter turned towards Tony with his arms raised.

"Up?"

Tony smiled, putting down his empty coffee cup to get up and pull Peter out of his chair. Once he had him in his arms, Peter put his head down on Tony's shoulder, his hand clenching the front of his shirt. Tony kissed his forehead.

"What are you going to do today?"

"I have some work I gotta do in the shop," Tony said, bouncing Peter a little.

"Ok," Steve said, grabbing a towel to dry off the high chair tray. "I don't have anything today so I guess me and Peter will keep busy until you're done."

After Steve had dried the chair's tray and reattached it, he walked over to Tony and leaned forward to finally give Tony a good morning kiss. His face was just inches from Tony's when he felt a small, slightly sticky hand push back on his face.

"No!"

Steve pulled back, grimacing as he wiped the stickiness off of his face. He looked back over at Peter, who had both arms wrapped tightly around Tony's neck, face pressed against Tony's cheek, glaring – as much as a two-year-old could glare – at Steve.

"Petey-Pie, what are you doing?" Tony's face held confusion but his voice sounded amused.

"My daddy," Peter said firmly, arms wrapping tighter around Tony's neck.

"Am I not allowed to kiss daddy?" Steve asked, an amused smile spreading across his face.

"No," Peter said again, his voice coming out in a bit of a whine now. He stuck his lower lip out in a pout, but his grip on Tony had loosened a bit. "My daddy. No kiss."

"Well, if I can't kiss Daddy," Steve said, "can I kiss you?"

Peter seemed to think about it quite seriously for a moment before nodding, sticking his cheek out in Steve's direction for a kiss.

"Oh, you are so spoiled," Tony said with a chuckle.

Steve planted a loud, wet kiss on Peter's cheek, blowing a raspberry that made the little boy squirm and giggle in Tony's arms.

While Peter was distracted, Steve moved quickly to the left, trying one more time to sneak past Peter to kiss Tony.

"NO!"

Peter tucking his arms back around Tony's neck, lightly hitting Steve on the nose and squeezing so tightly Tony made a slight choking noise.

"Ok, ok, no kisses." Peter's voice had sounded more distressed that time and Steve figured it was better to let it go and stop teasing before Peter headed to a meltdown.

"What has gotten into you, kiddo?" Tony looked at Peter concerned, rubbing a hand up and down Peters back. Peter didn't say anything, just buried his face in Tony's neck instead.

Tony threw a confused look at Steve but Steve just shrugged.

"Ok baby, you're gonna have to go with Papa now because I have to go get some work done in the lab, ok?"

"Wanna stay you," Peter's disappointed voiced murmured into Tony's neck. He didn't even pick up his head.

Steve felt his heart twinge at how sad his baby looked.

"You can stay with me," Tony said, resigned. At this point, he knew saying no could very well lead to a crying spell from the boy. "Do you want to play with Dum-E?"

Peter nodded, arms still around Tony, head still buried in Tony's neck.

Tony shot Steve a "what the hell just happened" look as he turned and walked out of the room, hand still rubbing soothing circles into Peter's back.

Steve stood bemused for a moment before shrugging and turning back to finish cleaning the kitchen.

After living with the Avengers for nearly eight years he was used to strange mood swings.
