Jax x Reader who's easily flustered but tries to stubbornly "fight" back?

Jax x easily flustered Reader

★ Everyone knows how he is, overconfident and cocky. Known to playfully flirt with Ragatha (ex: calling her doll face) but when he did this to you the reactions he got were gold.

★ Oh he definitely makes fun of you. When he first saw the reaction it got out of you, woo boy, you just added fuel to the fire. Now his main mission is to see how flustered he can get you.

★ But then you started to flirt back. Little did you know, it caused him to catch feelings. Congratulations you've achieved what many could only hope for.

★The back and forth arguments can last anywhere from a few minutes to a whole day. Honestly, it's funny to watch. But everyone just wants him to knock it off and stop playing with your feelings.

★ Even Cain realizes that something is going on between the two of you. I wouldn't be surprised if Cain forces the two of you to go on a date. Probably to the restaurant he went to with Bubble.

(look I know I said that Cain doesn't really understand romantic relationships, but flirting and things like that are things he definitely understands)

Kinger once completely forgot how to speak English for a whole day and didn't realize. He was speaking Spanish. Kinger doesn't even speak Spanish.

Every few months Caine makes little changes to everyone's outfits just for fun. They have no say in this.

Once in a while they all gather in Jax's room for movie night. They only use Jax's room because he has the biggest bed (because of how ridiculously tall he is). Jax never gets to pick the movie, despite it being his tv.

Sometimes ragatha thinks that she forgot to drink water for today, then remembers that they don't actually need water.

Jax used to be best friends with another rabbit that resided within the circus, but once they abstracted, he decided that nothing in the circus was worth his time anymore, and just sorta gave up on being nice to people and participating in Caine's adventures.

Caine once tried incorporating digital pets into the circus to make everyone happier, but they glitched out and started trying to attack everyone. That's how ragatha lost an eye.

Jax blasts music from his room louder than anyone thought was humanly possible, and it's never the kind of music anyone would expect him to listen to. Imagine Gangle's surprise when she walked past Jax's room in the morning hearing David Bowie music playing so loud it could rupture a non-digital person's eardrums.

Sometimes when Zooble is bored they'll just rearrange their body parts like a real life Mx. Potato Head.

Gangle and Pomni bond over their shared love of cats.

Every Friday night, Gangle, Pomni, and Ragatha hang out and eat popcorn and watch romcoms for a girl's night. They were going to invite Zooble, but ultimately decided against it since Zooble isn't technically a girl, they're a Zooble.

They're all at least a little bit gay.

Knowing how overwhelming the digital world can be, I feel like he'd try to be a really fun CG, but he's very go with the flow; sad? Let's go prank someone! You just wanna lay down together in silence because the feeling of being held is all you need right now? Whatever you want, dollface 💜

He's not good with talking about emotions, but he tries to understand. He can at least tell the difference between a tantrum and a breakdown.

The days when you're at least a little happy are his favorite days. He loves walking around the tent with you. Going on adventures together is a usual occurrence, the others don't mind it too much, but they do worry he'll lose you or something.

When I see him as a caregiver, I think of one word only. Chaos. Mans is 100% letting you off the hook with a lot of things.

I don't think he'd ever punish his little. Maybe scold them, but rarely will there be timeouts. If anything, it's "let's play the dont move or speak game," if you're ever goin wild. which worked the first time but never again after that. *finger guns*

Lastly, I feel like he'd sing to you... DONT TELL ANYONE THOUGH... ✨️It's only 4 u✨️

Regressor!Jax

Little Jax is very shy at first, but once he's comfortable, he becomes the world's #1 yapper (and its adorable)

I feel like he knows a lot about what's going on in the digital world, so when he regresses, he may or may not accidentally slip a small secret ☝️

He then will make you pinky promise to not tell anyone, or else he'll have to take away your pinky privileges.... hey! Stop laughing!! He's serious! (He's not)

I feel like sometimes he'd go nonverbal, especially when someone ends up abstracting. That's when you start singing to him. Get him to start singing along, and he's back to his usual self <3

All in all, Jax is just a little guy who has too much going on in his head. Give him some time and reassurance, and then maybe, it'll be a not so bad time in the Amazing Digital Circus!!

I find it funny how some people in the TADC fandom are weird about people simping for Jax because he’s an A-hole, and meanwhile I’m coming from the TMA fandom where every character is an A-hole and the entire fandom still simps for most of them

This is a Mostly fluff au

Everyone isn't insane mostly, and don't hate each other

the entire vibe is like animal crossing but with legend of Zelda breathe of the wild roaming. (( i wanted to say stardew valley, but I never played it, so idk what it's like sksks.))

Kinger is the rodeo champion and still holds the title. Nobody can beat him. (This frustrates Jax the most.)

This au's Jax is still loves pranks, but is more focused on competitions. But he absolutely will not prank the horses. He respects them too much. But the riders, However, are a different story.

They all have different roles:

Kinger is the champion

Caine is the Rodeo star/ manager (obv.)

Ragatha is the equestrian caretaker

Jax is a herder/ trick rider (His horse is named centipede☆)

Gangle handles the saloon and inventory

Zooble is in charge of the barn but doubles as a bandit when✨️ special events ✨️ happen.

Pomni is the rodeo Clown.

The abstractions are wild animals/Bulls.

this is one of the seasons changing games, so you can have weather shenanigans.

Everyday activities stem from exciting things like events like a stampeed to mundane minigame things like churning butter.

Outfit changes with the seasons is a must ✨️

Most Abstractions happen whenever someone gets lost in the mines. The level was never finished and rumor has it that if you can find the end of it you can find the golden door that leads to the title screen to log out... but at the same time, it's so complicated and HUGE that most end up back at the start no matter what route they take. That's when they start to abstract. The locals call it "Gold fever." And recommend people avoid the mines unless completely necessary.

★ Back before Kaufmo abstracted he'd tell the clown that he should try being more like you. You were the comedy duo, trio depending on the mask Gangle was wearing. After he was gone you became a solo act.

★ you've provided Jax with numerous pies, sometimes for eating and other times for being thrown at people. The perfect date with him needs to have some pie. Or at least a few snacks.

★ If you dare to throw a pie at his face you will regret it. It doesn't matter that you're his s/o, there will be consequences to your actions. Sleep with one eye open.

★ When Pomni got stuck in the digital circus you wanted to show her all the ways you can make people laugh. It's what jesters are for! You've made a mental list of what makes everyone laugh.

"Hey Jax, I made you this! I know it's not the usual overall look you always go for, but hopefully this is more comfortable!" Ragatha handed Jax a shirt that was neatly sewed with a comfortable texture.

Jax looked at the shirt with a confused look, but took the piece of cloth anyways.

"What is this, dollface? I don't need another shirt. I have thousands of overall's in my room." he threw the shirt in a nearby trashcan, then walked away with his hands over his head.

Ragatha stared at the trash can in sorrow. Without second thought, she walked away to her room.

After a while, Jax came out of his room to do his midnight walk due to his head getting too much. He walked for a while around the circus: going up the stairs and down the stairs, taking many lefts and rights until he reached a dead end. And then he stopped at where the stage was, staring at the trash can that still held the shirt that Ragatha made with such delicacy.

"Oh, what the heck.." he walked up to the trash can and took the shirt as his own, and walked back to his room to clean it up before putting it away in his closet for the mere future.

Gangle was weeping on the circus stage for what seemed to be twenty minutes now. From the corner of her eye, she could see a figure walk towards her.

He lifted her head up just enough to see who it was, and gave a small smile as best as she could before another tear ran down her face.

"Hey, Gangle.. I saw that your comedy mask had broke, and so I decided to fix it. I know it's not the best, bu-" Ragatha, who lifted the mask towards Gangle for her to see, was cut off by gangle taking it with high hopes.

"Thank you, Ragatha! I-it looks perfect!!" Gangle excitedly put her mask back on, and got up from sitting on the stage to hug Ragatha as an extra thank you.

A lil theory string of mine that may or may not be echoing what everyone else has already speculated:

•The Amazing Digital Circus is a work in progress video game that has yet to pass regulations.

•C & A (Cain & Abel?) is the company responsible for the game The Amazing Digital Circus.

•Pomni isn’t the only one working a corporate job, but the rest of the characters as well. They all work-or at least, worked, for C & A before they arrived at the circus, and all in diff roles/branches of the company.

•Kinger was the director/creator of the game. He’s the man behind the wholeeee thing. Deep in that broken little mind, he knows a lot about the mechanics behind the world because he’s the one who created it. That’s also why he’s been there the longest, and why he’s a ‘king.’ (He has the most power in the company.)

•Zooble worked in game art/design. (Hence their former tattoo job & pickiness w/ their appearance)

•Ragatha worked in the company’s human resources department. (Hence her people-pleasing & friendly nature)

•Jax worked in the commercial field in the company; sales rep? Business? Something involving people and connections

•Gangle worked in game animation. (I’m reaching w/ this one, but I’m just guessing based on her love of anime and drawing.)

•Lastly, Pomni worked in the finance/legal branch of the company. (Acc to Goose, Pomni’s good at accounting. This also explains Pomni’s inability to tolerate the digital realm- she needs order and logic to function.)

•For different reasons (?) All of the characters ended up putting on the VR headset and testing out the game.

•Pomni had the important job of seeing if the game should pass legal regulations or not. That’s what prompted her to pop on the headset and give the game a whirl. Needless to say, I bet she’s made her decision.

Suck it up ( WIP )

This WIP is my headcannon backstory of Jax. My headcanon that Jax had neglecting parents, the very reasons why he bullies and pulls off pranks on others so he could get everyone's attention on him.

There is one person who stated that Jax is lying through his teeth ( due to him grinning all the time ) and I love that theory. Implying that he's hiding his true feelings.

I feel I need to balance this angst out, do this AFTER you’ve done the others and given yourself time to chill…I’ve got my eyes on you…

Anyhow, how’s about the TADC gang all seperate with an s/o who’s just the definition of ‘chill’. They are the best comfort partner (just behind Kinger ofc), they comfort, share and engage in hobbies, show small signs of affection like soft side hugs and gentle butterfly kisses to the cheeks or neck, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. Will also 100% piggyback/bridal carry their significant other if asked or for fun. Just a pure wholesome fuzzy mess.

Caine

Caine can be an incredibly busy man/AI so try and make him take breaks. He gets to caught up in work because he's so worried that if he doesn't have fun things to do then people will start abstracting. So when you walk into his office gently pick him up and sit down in his chair with him now sitting on your lap it helps him snap out of it. He isn't going to stop still. But he really appreciates you being there. You being there and every now and again giving him an idea you had makes the work take longer, but makes it much more enjoyable. You'll honestly probably end up falling asleep on him, arms wrapped around him head on his shoulder. Sadly he doesn't have a neck, or any real exposed skin. So kisses will be a little rough but that isn't gonna stop you. It is a little weird kissing a giant set of teeth though. And second he finished up, or at least reaches a point where he can stop you pick him up and take him to your bed. Sometimes he'll tunnel vision to much on something and you'll have to do that anyways. It's like holding an angry cat when that happens, minus the claws.

Gangle

Gangle loves affection but isn't amazing at giving nor receiving it. Any time you do anything she can and will blush. And if you protect her from Jax. Putty Gangle has arrived. How relaxed you are despite everything happening helps her out a lot. I headcannon that she loves working with clay, like making pottery and all. But sadly with her ribbon hands she can't do it anymore. Or rather couldn't, cause you help her out. You two will sit in front of a potters wheel. You have her place her hands on the outside of yours and you just let her lead. (I have made plenty of pottery in my time and I can safely say it is incredibly hard to do.) Sadly unless your helping her with something she doesn't let you in her pottery station anymore. You tried to make a mug for her without her and it didn't go well. You didn't know the first thing about pottery when she wasn't guiding you so it ended up blowing up in the kiln. You felt really bad. Cuddles with Gangle are a little strange. She doesn't have any real body weight so it really does feel like your cuddling a piece of ribbon (for good reason). So you two came up with something. You got a body pillow that's around her height and when you two are cuddling she'll wrap around it so she has more mass. When she needs some comfort you'll know. Whenever she's in a really bad mood and wants you touch but doesn't really want to say it she'll exist really close to you and start gently wrapping one of her arms around yours. Overall 10/10, she's a giant sweetheart and your lucky you got her. So treat her well yeah?

Zooble

I recommend bringing some kind of hoodie or blanket with you. Her edges can be a little harsh on the body. Out of everyone Zooble is the highest chance of most cuddles. She never gets involved in adventures and avoids the others when she can. Which basically just means more alone time with her. Zooble has a lot of insecurities concerning her new body and the circus. You're the only one she trust enough with that kind of thing so don't downplay her thoughts and emotions. The main way she shows affection is just spending time with you, she isn't big on touch and she doesn't exactly have the resources for gifts. And that worries her, she knows that she can be rude and unpleasant to be around but she doesn't have anything else to offer you. She's not great at communication so you really just need to keep patient and keep loving her. She has a jagged and rough exterior, but it like everything can be broken. It'll just take time.

Kinger

You two make a great bunch. The others never would have thought but if someone is having an especially bad day they go to you two. Kinger is amazing at calming and encouraging words, and your amazing at calming acts and setting up an atmosphere. You've saved a lot from abstraction because of that. Hugs are amazing from him. That royal medieval robe he's wearing is really nice to the touch. Sadly he doesn't have a mouth but he'll try and make up for that with head bonks (Head bonk: To gently place your head against someone you care about to show affection. Usually used when that person isn't comfortable with kisses.) One time you two built an actual castle out of pillows. It took you like a day but it had a working drawbridge and everything! Sadly it was broken during an adventure but it was really fun to build with Kinger. He can get a little... Unstable... When that happens a tight hug and a kiss can usually snap him out of it. But if that doesn't work bring him back to your room. The atmosphere you have set up and the fact that it smells like you will help him out a lot.

Ragatha

Once again you two make a good combo. She holds people off from breaking down. But if she can't stop it then she sends em to you. So once again you two help with abstraction a lot. But poor baby is stressed and you help provide some needed relief. I see her as the type of if she was expecting a kiss or a hug she'll hug/kiss back and thank you. If she wasn't she turns into a blushing mess with a big ol dopey smile on her face. Something she appreciates a lot is more childish things. Like if you start up a pillow fight with her she will be ecstatic. But be warned her pillows hit like a truck. Not cause their different just because she's really good at pillow fights. Her fav cuddle type is the honeymoon hug (look it up). She gets to be close to you and give you smooches if she wants. And she gets to feel like she's protecting you. She is the mom friend and you annoy her by saying over the top things like. "Ok MOM" when she asks you to stop doing something. First few times she hated it but now she goes along with it sayng things like "Hey! Don't talk back to me. Give me your phone you're grounded." She never means it though.

Jax

I think Jax is the most stable person in the circus. I'm saying he's mentally ok I'm just saying that he is by far at the least risk for abstraction. Whenever Jax plays a joke on someone and you go to help calm them down he gets a little jealous. He knows you love him but he doesn't really like you talking to others. So don't be surprised if you're in the middle of comforting someone and he just picks you up and walks away. He can be a little mean so for your own sake try and not take his words to heart. He just by second nature starts pointing things out that he dislikes, and often he starts pointing out things on/to do with you before he realizes. He also won't apologize so just try and ignore it. He sorta makes up for it with affection though. Cause he's pretty affectionate. Most of it is teasing yes, like he's come out of no where kiss your cheek and use a pet name that flusters you then just leave like he didn't do anything. But he's surprisingly gentle when it comes to that kind of thing. I see him being the type where you two fall asleep in the same bed and you wake up with him having his arms and legs around you probably drooling on your forehead. Or he's one of those that take up the whole bed so you often wake up on the floor. Many say that opposites attract. And you two are very different. But that isn't a bad thing.

You two are opposites in a lot of ways. She is anxious and constantly in a state of panic/worry. And you never are. So you help her a lot. I see her being kind of like a cat towards you. Constantly around you and or begging for attention. I have an idea that I came up with a few years ago. It's a hoodie with a giant pocket inside. Like one of those baby carriers but minus the straps and inside the hoodie so who/whatever you keep in there share warmth. And she loves it. You two can be relaxing in your room and she'll realize something and spring off the bed you two were on. She and will turn the entire place upside down looking for it (https://www.tiktok.com/@louiencoco/video/7214862848042831110) so if you don't wanna have to clean up later just show her where it is. On a more serious note though you two were a match made in heaven and with enough time you could make a genuine improvement in her mental health. The main reason she's so fragile mentally is cause she never gets/got a break. So her favorite activity with you is probably just relaxing in one of your rooms away from the others.

uueueueue the macarons i made earlier ended up so good!! easily some of the nicest and prettiest ones i made recently; not like bakery level pretty but none of them collapsed or cracked! main issue is that some of them kind of have a tip or bump on the top from the piping!! otherwise theyre solid!! gonna answer some stuff then i might go draw then hit the sack

CAINE:

i like to think that he took one of your ears in each of his hands and lifted them up, messing with them a bit before letting them flop down to your sides. has probably tried to blow you away with spectacles and grand gestures only for you to blink dully at him... oh... was he saying something..? you werent really paying attention... always reties your bow/bowtie when it comes undone, he cant have you not being ... not presentable..! very much endeared by your sweet demeanor and very loudly asks for hugs every now and then

POMNI:

has probably waved her hand in front of your face to see if you were awake and/or alive, genuinely thought that you were a real normal plushie the first time she saw you. got jumpscared when you slowly moved your head to look at her. oh dear! please reassure her that everything is fine!

since shes new you have taken to hovering around her during IHAs to make sure shes safe.. you have probably picked her up to your chest and made a run for it. like literally just pomni held flat to you and you just running with her. silly, i think

RAGATHA:

one of my favorite ragatha headcannons that lowkey becoming a given and my go to; she makes you accessories to go on your ears! bows and ribbons and the like! she thinks you look so so cute; vaguely reminds her of a bunny doll she used to have in her childhood, at least thats her guess judging by the warped and murky memories of her old life in the real world. has accidentally left you behind because you were spacing out and thinking about whatever it is that goes on in your head... thinks youre as sweet as can be, probably calls you "carrot cake" or something along the lines

messes with your long droopy ears. not uncommon for him to just grab one and run his thumb over you false fur and fabric. he thinks youre too soft; literally and metaphorically. you make a great cuddle buddy and give great hugs, but youre just too nice for your own good. and on the off chance that youre actually paying attention when hes setting up a prank for someone, you put a stop to it. pulling pranks is mean, especially jax's style of pranks! you cant have that!

jax definitely pouts off to the side when you sabotage him.. youd think the two bunny folk would get along with one another!

well its not like you guys dont get along, youre too nice for that and sometimes i feel like jax's conscious would step in at least once and he would try to be nicer to you, at least for a day

KINGER:

sometimes he likes snuggling into you within the pillow fort, your body is just so soft and warm and comforting, youre literally just a giant teddy bear- er... bunny! stuffed bunny! honestly he probably hangs around you more than he would hang around a normal reader simply because youre just so sweet and soft, as well as inviting. you both tend to space out together.. do you think he accidentally put you in the walls of his pillow fort, before he realized you were a whole person ? like do i think kinger is that dense? no, but i do think that the thought it really really funny and silly and i can definitely see it as a gag

ZOOBLE:

tries to pretend that theyre not into how soft and comfy you are.... but they find themselves subtly leaning into you when youre nearby. i would say that they would be blunt with wanting to be held or wanting a hug like they are with everything else.. but i think when it comes to affection, zooble can be a little... eh... like theyre bad at saying what they want when they want it, at least verbally.. your softness makes up for the fact that they feel like those hard plastic kids toys

sometimes get a little annoyed by your... empty eyed look... because sometimes its really hard to tell when youre paying attention or not

GANGLE:

love love loves snuggling into you after a rough day, bonus if youre fixing up her comedy mask while she presses her other masked-face into your fluff and venting about her day. oh that jax is so so mean! please rub her back... her.. ribbons, actually. honestly hugs from you are s tier and the very best because as said several times before, youre really soft and comfortable. you guys tend to lock yourselves up in gangles room and hang out when a IHA isnt going on; and thats just fine with the both of you because you have one anothers company
