Choose a fandom: Beyblade

The first character I first fell in love with:

I will be dangerously basic in this, but Kai funky-ass Hiwatari was the first character I seriously fell in love with, followed by Ray I-yawn-in-your-face Kon. When Kai appeared on screen (I used to see Beyblade on videocassettes on a small TV in my room, what epic times people) and OF COURSE, me being me I immediately noticed the asshole of assholes and SBAM, right in the face with his sacriscent sarcasm (the Italian voice actor is FINE). Little I knew that I would actually become Kai Hiwatari in the years to come. I was not in love with him (I'm still though), I WAS him (and I'm still, but intensified).

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: 

Basic number 2, Yuriy Ivanov/Tala Valkov and his dramatic entrance.

I found out about the last parte of the first season late in life (I was about 10/12) and had no idea about the Russians or the finale.

When he popped up I was caught unguarded because I already had my favourite (Kai the drama queen) and never, NEVER happens that I like at the same level two characters of the same world (movies, TV series, books ecc.) and STILL...

The power of Tala, just that.

(I'm similar to him too, no jocking, when I was a child I thought I was like Tyson... yeah, of course, one hour of that chaotic energy and I'm done).

I mean, you obsess over Tala or you don't, but if you don't then TELL ME HOW IT'S LIKE OVER THER 'cause

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: 

As much as the Harry Potter world, I don't dislike a single Beyblade's character.

If I have to pick one, maybe... Boris Valkov? I enjoy a good, well written villain.

The character I love that everyone else hates: 

Same as before.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer:

No one, if I love something it means I'm obsessed over it (not in the style of Joe in "You", just saying).

I love Ray a little less than I did before I knew about Tala, but he's always been a step behind Kai from the beginning, and still is a great, great character to me.

I feel like the way he's drown in the first season is absolutely gorgeous.

I think his personality is one of the most balanced and sane of all Beyblade.

And yes, I see many things in common between me and him too.

The character I would totally smooch: 

Kai Hiwatari, Tala Valkov, Ray Kon, maybe Ozuma... and still none of them, especially the first three like THEY ARE extensions of MYSELF it would feel strange.. heavenly probably, but strange.

They are there to be admired and preserved, not to be touched, okay?!

The character I’d want to be like: 

I'm already like Kai, Tala, Ray, sometimes Tyson (in a party, those few times I show up and for 5 minutes straight), Mariah, Ming Ming, Mariam, some metaphorical aspects of Brooklyn... I don't need others what is left of my mental sanity thank you warmly.

The character I’d slap: 

Garland.

Moving on.

A pairing that I love:

KaixTala is my SUPREME OTP, like give me them and nobody will get hurt.

TalaxJulia (differences in appearance, culture, way of thinking but with a common ground in strength, independence, bravery, discipline, hard work, stubbornness).

I also enjoy TalaxBryan (past, complicity, traumas, leadership, loyalty)

“What…” Tala bit his lips, “What do you want from me?”

Headcanon for tala and julia basically about their dating life

Ooh that’s one ship I’ve never thought of! Here are some headcanons (with the obvious assumption that the characters are in their early twenties):

1. Well I’ve always had this one headcanon that Tala is biro/ace. And that’s something that I’ll presume for this too. I think one possible headcanon in this situation would be that when Tala, when he starts dating Julia would be a little terrified of admitting to her that he is ace. He has always felt that he was odd because of that, especially since his teammates hook up left, right and centre and he’s never felt the appeal of it. So he treads on eggshells before he can tell her because it’s led him to a lot of heartbreak before. And then one day he just gets really drunk and tells her. And that’s when she tells him that she is ace too and he is just floored, especially because Julia always seemed to exude a great degree of oomph. But assumptions and stereotypes can be deceptive, and the two of them break all stereotypes in style.

2. Julia and Tala, I reckon, first would fall in love when she’d beat him in a beybattle. Now yes, we know he’s a far better blader in canon, but I think at some point Julia really strengthens herself to a miraculous degree and beats him and sweeps poor Tala off him feet. Because what’s more appealing to a strong, self-assured man than an equally strong, self-assured woman who owns his ass in a beybattle?

3. Whenever Julia falls sick, Tala sheds his cool exterior almost immediately to become the Most Caring Boyfriend™. He cooks her all her favourite things, drapes her in a blanket and turns her into a human burrito and Netflixes with her. Nothing makes Julia go weaker in her knees!

4. The two of them loveeee ice skating together. Julia doesn’t come from a city with frozen lakes in winter and somehow whenever she’s in Russia with him, she finds such great joy in skating around. It also gives Julia a great opportunity to get photographed by Tala looking graceful, and if anyone knows style and grace that’s her. She’s photogenic as hell. 

5. Speaking of grace, I don’t know if you know this but years ago I wrote this piece of fanfiction where Tala’s mother is a ballerina and I have this headcanon that Wolborg materializes that way to mimic his mother’s movements as a ballerina. Julia was in the circus and she is graceful as hell. She reminds him of her in many ways (not in a creepy Oedipus complex way) and that is one of the many things that draws him to her.

6. Julia really digs his Novae Rog. For real. Nothing like seeing her man wolf it up!

First of all, thank you for my first ever ask 😭.

A - Your current OTP(s)/OT3(s)/OTX(s) I don’t think I have any super strong OTPs, but I tend to gravitate towards to Tala/YuriyxKai. Definitely not opposed to a Tala/YuriyxBoris, either. Overall, I’m not really picky, and there’s not really one be all end all ship for me.

....I will also ship PPB Michael with almost anyone. C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will (be nice) Yuriy/TalaxJulia  I love Yuriy.  I love Julia. Them together just is off to me...I don’t know what it is, either. Something about them though just does not vibe for me, though.

 I’ve actually been kind of bummed about this because there has been a lot of content floating around for them recently, and I feel like I am missing out, but something about it just isn’t my jam 😟. All y’all do you, though! Q - A ship you’ve abandoned and why I used to be really into TyKa, probably because it’s the first ship I ever encountered (before I even knew what ships were), but I really just love them both so much as a Bromance, and just tend to pair them more with other people now. 

If anyone ships them, though, go for it. Do your thang. R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships One of my favourite fics had a cheeky l’il side Tala/YuriyxPPBMichael. It was done really well, both them left fairly in character (especially for how I characterized both them at the time, and within the conditions of the AU), and I’ve thought about it for years now.

X - top 5-10 characters who are yoUR PRECIOUS BABIES AND YOU WILL DIE DEFENDING THEM In no particular order: 

1. Eddy - Boy didn’t even get the Steve treatment in G-Rev. At least Steve got taken out of the season entirely. We just get a sad little Eddy in G-Rev, with a weird design, and who could really contribute a lot to the team in terms of cool confidence vs the over the top cockiness of his teammates. 2. Tala/Yuriy - On top of the fact that he’s had a wild ride of life, I like how how he can be so versatile. Want him to be serious, soft spoken, but sharp? Got it. Want him to be a chaotic force to be reckoned with? Got it. A mix between all of them above? Go ahead. I also just love how he grows into a more self assured and sassy dude...and how he doesn’t take any of Kai’s ish....or, tries not to, rather.

...And he’s super cute.

3.Max - I feel bad that he used to (less so now!) get reduced to some kid on a sugar high when he is one of the better fleshed out characters (in my opinion). I think a lot of this was due to the fandom skewing quite young in the beginning (as was I), and now that, you know, we’re all a bit older and wiser, there’s been a bit more fleshing out for most the characters in the series, Max included :).  

4.Mao/Mariah - I like a girl who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go for it. She’s very multi-dimensional, and I like how she is both a badass blader, but also can take a step back and take on a more supportive role as well. Wish could have battled more in G-Rev, though.

5.PPB Michael - He’s just fun....That’s all I got. I think he seems like a cool guy underneath the over confident exterior.

....So many others though....so....many....others....Emily comes to mind, but I’ve already written a lot about her, so I’ll save it 😅

Who is really against chores? Tala. Due to the many hours at work he’s grown lazy easily.

Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? Julia. She loves everything about being a proper hostess.

Who takes the dog out for a walk? As stated previously, the don’t own any pets.
