"Farseer Eldrad of Ulthwe."

The veteran Seer raised an eyebrow beneath his black-and-bone helmet.

"Emissary of the Human Imperium," he replied. "Ulthwe did not foresee your arrival."

"They wouldn't have," the radiant woman kneeling before the seer replied. "No psychic powers work on me. I am Primarch Tlatia, of the Dawn Legion. I come bearing an offer of mutual interest."

A soulless one? "Surely you must know that 'Blanks' like yourself are reviled by many Aeldari," Eldrad replied, voice carefully even.

"The many, yes. I hope that you are not one of them--or at least that it will not cloud your judgement." Tlatia paused, then rose from her kneeling position so that she was eye-to-eye with the High Farseer. "We share enemies. Entities borne of the Warp wish nothing but destruction for both your kind and mine. I'm uniquely capable of disrupting their plans."

Eldrad tilted his helmet sideways, ever so slightly.

Tlatia let the glow of her skin pulse. For the briefest moment, she was a void in the Warp.

"You're not the only being that can't divine my actions, Farseer," she continued. "No psychic being can."

Farseer Taldeer's eyes widened slightly as the full potential of Tlatia's proposal dawned on her. "...not even the Dark Gods," she murmured.

"Exactly."

"It's a good proposal," Eldrad advised. For once, the ancient Farseer's face was both visible and somewhat animated, instead of set like stone. "So long as you're up to it, Taldeer. You live aboard Tlatia's ship, scry the Skeins of Fate, and advise as needed, and in exchange Ulthwe gains a valuable ally and you personally can pursue your relationship without fear of political repercussions."

"I..." Taldeer paused to compose her thoughts before she continued. The benefits were obvious, yes, but living on a ship of soulless ones? "I see the merits, but wouldn't living on a ship of Blanks make divination impossible?"

"We have Null-Field Limiters installed in our surgical suites to allow for psychic healing when needed, so that healers can create wraithbone casts and such," Tlatia answered. She didn't pretend to understand what magic Aeldari healers worked, but she knew how effective it was. "Same technology that's built into my armor. It would be relatively easy to retrofit a small suite for use as a divination chamber."

Taldeer didn't look convinced, and for a brief moment Tlatia was worried she'd reject the offer outright--but then she nodded.

"Very well." She folded her hands on her thighs and gave a half-bow. "On behalf of Craftworld Ulthanash Shelwe and Asuryani everywhere, I hereby accept your offer. Liivi and I will prepare to move immediately."

Tlatia smiled and half-bowed back. "And on behalf of the Dawn Legion and the millions we will no doubt save, I thank you."

Cadian-Ulthwe Regiments

Over the many thousands of years, the Alliance has stood, the Imperium and the Eldar have fought together across countless worlds. While an Imperial Guard regiment can typically rely on integrated Aspect Warriors, Guardian support, or other xenos allies, few are as interconnected as the Cadian-Ulthwe regiments.

Cadians are said to be able to field strip a lasgun by age 5, learn basic Eldar at age 8, perform artillery drills by age 12, and swear in Eldar at age 15. They have fought alongside Ulthwe for generations, Kasrkin training alongside Aspect Warriors and experienced Guardians giving lessons to new White Shields. Whenever the forces of Chaos seep from the Eye of Terror, it is Ulthwe and Cadia who are the first line of defense. The Craftworld itself houses the second largest force of stationed Imperial defenders on a Craftworld, behind only the highly militarized and extremely aggressive Biel-Tan.

The Eldar of Ulthwe are known to favor the use of Imperial patterns of equipment with many wearing adapted flak armor or using lasguns. Those who do prefer the harsh utilitarianism of Imperial wargear, whose destruction is calculated in its production value, as opposed to the graceful technology of the Eldar. It is easier to replace a laspistol than a shuriken catapult after all.

Ulthwe farseers are sometimes attached as liaisons and advisors for field commanders, allowing some level of prediction to aid the army's advance. In rare cases, they may even take up the mantle of command in a more direct route, such as in the case of Colonel-Farseer Taldeer of the Cadian 412th, her service record often compared to that of Colonel-Commissar Ibrahim Gaunt.

It is perhaps because of this close working relationship that actual relationships between Cadians and Ulthwe are common. The long lives of Eldar mean that many Cadians families are familiar with an Eldar " great uncle/aunt" who personally knew their great grandparents. Likewise, some Eldar have become adopted "god-guardians" of Cadian families or are named as such upon the birth of a child. It is said that the legendary Lord Castellan Ursarkar E. Creed was first found by a passing Ulthwe Farseer who took notice of his sharp mind, even as a starving orphan. He then tutored him personally in his adult years for command, honing Creed's tactical brilliance into something truly incredible.

Cadia and Ulthwe also see the largest number of Human-Eldar relationships and marriages anywhere in the Imperium. While no children have been born of such a union, it is certainly not due to a lack of trying.

Aelinor Llacharni. (Later Fatereader) The Self-Exiled Seer.

Personality: Outwardly, Aelinor is the perfect stereotype of a Farseer, calm, even and an ocean of tranquillity in a universe of madness and unpredictability. Inwardly however, she harbours doubts about her skill, place, worth and personhood that she would never speak out loud. Below the training and veneer of professionalism is a curious person still at the start of their life, she is witty and observant and kind and secretly affectionate- all traits that a Farseer from Craftworld Ulthwé is best thought to hide from the world. But with time and travel, glimmers of who she really is, and what she really wants, begin to show.

Physical traits: 6'11. Demisexual. Green eyes, pale skin that is dotted by freckles in warmer weather. Tall, slim, athletic, and a better swordsman than she gives herself credit for. Long, auburn hair that would touch her back if she ever wore it outside of the high ponytail she usually keeps it in.

Biography. (In brief.)

The last daughter of a minor Ulthwéan house, Aelinor Llacharni is a person of irritatingly average influence and talent. Too noble for a civilian life but too unimportant for politics. Too talented with the runes for battlefield command but too inexperienced for any influence on the Seer Council. Too cautious for any decisive action, but too undisciplined for more responsibility.

And so the life of Aelinor was one of little consequence. Days and nights were spent in the Dome of Crystal Seers, debating the best future of Ulthwé in her prophetic visions that would ultimately be ignored and fighting minor military campaigns that were below the attention of Eldrad Ulthran and Farseer Taldeer.

Until one day, a streak of recklessness took her, and she left Ulthwé to see the universe. Travelling first with former Head Ranger Rishaeron Wayfinder, and now by herself, she seeks to learn about the universe and herself along the way.

Allies:

Eldrin Shadewalker, an old guide, mentor and confidant that fought by her side and protected her often at the cost of his own body.

Rishaeron Wayfinder, friend, teaching her to survive outside the Craftworld, travelling companion, co-adoptee-gyrinx-carers of Virtute.

Nenime Arenan, first met as part of a lost ritual duel, the dashing Corsair Princess is a source of aspiration for the Farseer. In the Iyabresili, Aelinor sees the freedom, excitement and independence that she always wished she had herself.

I've actually now got a couple questions about Shimo as of tonight if you don't mind.

(1) You said your headcanon voice for her is Eldar Farseer, and I'm genuinely curious, but... well... I'm not familiar with 'Warhammer' beyond second-hand bits and pieces of info I've picked up, and I got more than one voice when I searched "Eldar Farseer" clips in YouTube to hear what Shimo sounds like. Any one in particular that has Shimo's voice?

(2) If Shimo exists in Abraxasverse, and if she doesn't cause so much destruction as to be dreaded and reviled by humanity like Ghidorah is... how low are the odds that she can avoid becoming the subject of Frozen internet memes? X'3

I gotcha, fam! The specific Farseer I hear for Shimo is the one here, who if I recall correctly is the voice for both Macha in vanilla Dawn of War and Taldeer in Dark Crusade. Her voice actress (Nicole Oliver) makes the Farseer sound regal, which fits in nicely with @tosho89's depiction of Shimo being polite and almost knightly. I... also just really like the sound of her voice. Her and the Avatar of Khaine especially, and I don't even play Eldar!

2. Next to impossible. AbraxasVerse Shimo would have a very hard time wrapping her head around memes; any Frozen reference would baffle her because "Yes, it's a fine song but aside from the ice-based powers how in the world does this apply to me? I'm not afraid of my powers!" Eventually the Frozen jokes would die down... only for her to be bombarded with references to Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat, which is even more confusing to her. Poor girl just can't win with human humor!

In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium there is only sick beats! Hit it!  O Kais: Greetings friends, i come with the greater good.  A teaching that I assure you is better then what you’ve heard. But I’ll say this just once, that you best lay down your arms; for our warriors are peerless as the light of shinning stars.  Any foolish to oppose us will be met with heavy fire, as we our fire teams advance and gun your down with their ire.
