Tamagotchi Original Case Provides Additional Accessibility

The Tamagotchi community is truly amazing, and always innovating. Yeawrongperson on Reddit recently posted pictures of their prototype for a Tamagotchi Original case that allows them to easily hold their Tamagotchi in their hand due to challenges with their disability.

In the comments of the Reddit thread, Yeawrongperson elaborates that their one good hand is simply too big to comfortable hold the Tamagotchi, and this prototype makes it easier.

The case itself is made using a 3D printer. It case appears to snap onto the Tamagotchi Original and features a pop socket like handle in the back that rests between your fingers. This is an excellent idea that increases the accessibility of the product for those with a disability such as dexterity impairments, and even helpful for those without as it provides more of a grip on the Tamagotchi. Bandai Namco US Announces Tamagotchi Original Celebration Y3K

To celebrate the 27th anniversary of Tamagotchi Bandai Namco US has just announced a new Tamagotchi Original shell! The shell is called Celebration Y3K and is unique as it includes a translucent cover case.

The shell itself is translucent as well in clear plastic but features an ombre of blue from the center of the device fading outward. The screen seems to be outlined with a silver color, and the buttons are white. The cover case is really neat and even accommodates the keychain, the cover is a nice blue color and it will protect your Tamagotchi once closed.

The Celebration Y3K shell features P1 programming, and a really cute box as well! This shell will be an Amazon exclusive, priced at $29.99 on Amazon, the release date is set for February 8th, 2024.
