💋 KISS MARK: What’s their signature look, if any? Do they have a gesture or piece of jewelry or something else that acts as a calling card for them?

She doesn't quite have a signature look clothing wise since she likes to experiment with styles but she does love a good denim jacket. She's generally more recognizable via her hair (very curly and often thrown up into a bun pre-wasteland) and tattoos. Especially the latter in the wasteland since I don't think they'd be as common? At least outside of cities, maybe. Her laugh is a good calling card tho since she cackles really loud when she finds something really funny.

🌻 SUNFLOWER: Do people generally tend to like them? What personality traits do they have that draw others in?

El can be... polarizing. An acquired taste might be a kinder way to put it but she can be difficult to get along with due to how stubborn and blunt she is. But I love her to pieces and that's what matters 😌. But most often people are drawn to her confidence and ambition along with her love of the arts.

🍼 BABY BOTTLE: How do they feel about babies and children? Would they ever have any?

Well, she does have one, August. But she's always had conflicted feelings about kids and having her own but has generally always leaned towards not wanting them. She's afraid of that level of commitment and of fucking up her kid/turning into her parents. Plus, she's always felt a bit awkward around kids since she doesn't really know how to interact with them. She loves August but she has a lot of inner conflict about it all. She really only kept him in the first place because Akira wanted a family, and then had a hard time bonding with him and then the Game Events happened, and now she has a synth version of him after killing the human she actually popped out her herself. But she does take good care of him :]

🥞 PANCAKES: What’s their comfort food?

She lovesssss pasteles! She mainly had them for the winter holidays growing up since they can be time-consuming to make but she's still very fond of them even if she doesn't eat them too often anymore. She also loves the miso soup that Akira makes :]

🎤 MICROPHONE: What does their voice sound like? Do they have a notable accent? Can they sing, and if so, what would they sing at a karaoke night?

Tashi Rodriguez is both her face and voice claim! So she kinda has a medium pitched voice? Idk I'm bad at describing voices but she doesn't really have much of an accent in my mind since she's kinda lived all over the place. Just a standard American. She cannot sing to save her life </3

🏪 CONVENIENCE STORE: What would be their go-to convenience store snacks?

Omg she'd love Takis or just spicy chips in general. She'd hate the dust tho so she wouldn't go for them unless she's just going home after or if Akira's with her so she can just wipe the dust on his jacket or smth 💀. Probably just some water and iced tea to drink, maybe a nuka cherry if she wants to spice things up.

He's usually going for that greaser look but doesn't generally slick his hair back bc he doesn't like putting product in it. So a leather jacket, jeans, a t-shirt, and a pair of boots generally. Add some leather gloves and armor in the wasteland, and ofc a pack of cigarettes in his pocket. He's never been big on jewelry but he did let El pierce one of his ears.

At first glance, people tend to gravitate towards him since he's a very attractive man but he can be initially very awkward and a bit shy so that can be off-putting to some people. But people don't really tend to dislike him, I guess. He's very kind and warm once you get him to open up a little bit.

He likes kids and he's good with him but he never really wanted any of his own until El told him that she was pregnant. Just seemed to kinda flip a switch in his mind and he found himself pretty excited to have one with her even if he was a bit scared but he was oblivious to her own reservations :/. BUT tbf she was lying to him abt her feelings on it, he just took her at face value.

🥞 PANCAKES: What’s their comfort food?

Good ol' Blamco Mac 'n cheese with some broccoli and shredded chicken. Cheers him up every time.

Akira's voice is quite deep but soft in a way, it doesn't carry very well. He has a bit of a southern Maine accent (which is just similar to the general New England one) but it's not very thick. He pronounces his 'R's softer than most so 'car' kinda sounds like 'cah', cold weather is nippy, etc etc. It doesn't really stand out in Boston. He's a decent singer but doesn't really like to sing in front of people often.

Generally, a beer and whatever candy he's feeling but he gravitates towards anything with peanut butter!

It is not unheard of for a Fae of The Garden or Wild Hunt to have multiple destined mates, and Alondra’s parents were one of those lucky enough to be blessed in such a way. While it would take several centuries before the three came together, it was only a matter of time before the three dipped themselves into the Spring of Eden and became one for eternity. Alondra’s father, Andres Rivera, was a revered member of the Wild Hunt who spent most of his life protecting the walls of The Garden and the precious Nymphs who lived and danced within its walls. Andres, while thought of highly and desired by Nymph and Wild hunt alike, never expected to amount to anything great in life. He was the youngest of five children of two full blooded Wild Hunt Fae — his father, a long retired tracker, and his mother a seasoned hunter and several centuries younger — who hoped he would meet his match and have the happy union his parents did, but knew that not everybody did. Andres planned on leading a simple life, doing his duty to The Garden and enjoying the thrills and comradeship of his thriving wolf pack. Yet that did not stop him from imagining what life might be, should he meet his mate. His parents — Alondra’s grandparents, whom she loves dearly — loved each other more than anybody he had ever met, and did not hide their affection for one another from their litter of children.

It was because of this openness that Andres would allow his imagination to run wild from time to time, his head in the clouds as he stared up at the endless blue sky. It was something he became known for as he grew from pup to wolf; Andres could often be found at the end of his patrol, his back propped up against ivy covered walls, face tilted upward and a wistful smile on his face from time to time as he thought of loving someone who was meant to be his and only his. This routine went on for years with little upset; as the sun rose or sank beneath the trees, there Andres would be, blissfully painting the life he never expected to have. 

Until one day, someone was looking back at him.

Edelira was the first of his loves to come into his life. Peering down at him from the high walls of The Garden — her eyes full of wonder and circled by dark lashes — she was gone in a flash when she realized he’d spotted her. He would not learn until later that she had been watching him for many moons, once he’d finally gotten the courage to call up to her and ask her her name. After they finally introduced themselves to one another, it came as a shock to Andres that he could become so close, so quickly to someone who was not of his kin. Edelira was a vision of beauty, gentle, but had a quick wit that would leave him roaring with laughter and his sides feeling as if he was being stabbed over and over again. A nymph with delicate wings that glittered like stars, Andres found himself falling in love with her, though it would be many years before he realized that she loved him, too. Edelira and Andres entire friendship consisted of Andres looking skyward and Edelira beaming down at him; each and every conversation happened in that way, as Edelira was a nymph of the Orchard, whom had chosen to stay within the safety with her sisters of The Garden once she had come of age. 

But everything changed for Edelira when she met Andres, and with the Rose Queen’s permission, Edelira ventured outside the Garden to meet the man who starred at the sky. It was with this meeting that Andres and Edelira learned that their friendship was so much more — yet it was not quite that of a mating bond, much to their dismay. But this fact did not stop them from seeing each other, nor did it stop Edelira from eventually inviting him into the Garden. But it was within the Garden that Edelira had something of a secret. While she was growing to love Andres more and more with each passing day, Edelira had a similar bond with a fellow nymph. Neva was Edelira’s everything; they had grown up  in the Garden together, and were inseparable in ways outside of friendship. So much so that it was decades before Edelira introduced Neva to Andres, as she worried that the special relationship she had with each of her lovers might ruin what she had with the other. Both courtesans, neither were strangers to inviting others into their beds, and Edelira had expected Andres to be a simple passing fling… yet when Edelira brought him home for the very first time, the bond that Edelira and Neva had suddenly seemed to make perfect sense. Neva and Edelira, who were known by the Nymphs to love each other more than anything in the world — they had blossomed together, trained together, and planned on raising a little family of nymphets together when the time came — suddenly understood not only why the mating bond had not been forged between themselves, but why it had never happened for Edelira and Andres, either. 

Meeting Edelira and Neva together was like being struck straight in the chest for Andres. His love for Edelira had been slow growing, like a delicate orchid being cultivated into a beautiful blossom, but Neva? The mating bond that exploded between the three of them left him breathless. His love for Neva was instant, like a match catching flame — and it was all because the three were not meant to find mates alone, but destined to never be without the other two. That very same night, the three made their journey to the Spring of Eden, and it was as if they had never been apart, and Andres need not look at the sky anymore, because he had been gifted with a sunrise and sunset that put the real thing to shame. 

Getting to know Neva was one of the easiest things Andres ever did. It was no surprise why Edelira loved her so much, nor why she had been so frightened to introduce them to one another for fear of loosing them both. Where Edelira was gentle and soft, Neva was regal and elegant. Edelira was fresh fallen snow, and Neva was crystal perfect ice. It would be many decades more before they would start a family together, but soon Edelira and Neva left the Garden for good, and the three made a home together within the Widowed Oak. 

Neva was the first to become pregnant, and soon a baby boy — a willful Wild Hunt Fae — was born. Try and she might to have a child of her own, Edelira was seemingly unable to conceive. Though, it mattered not. Neva’s son was in every way Edelira’s, and the three raised him together, as well as the baby girl Neva bore shortly after. Unlike Neva and Edelira, their first daughter did not grow up in The Garden as they did. Rather, the two siblings grew up within Cloverwood Forrest and their little home. Edelira had long since accepted that she would never bare her own child, and was content with raising the two perfect children they already had — she had all but lost hope, when finally, Edelira became pregnant with Alondra.

Edelira’s pregnancy went perfectly — with no complications, Alondra was expected to be born without complication. Yet, tragedy struck at the worst time possible. Weeks before Alondra’s birth — when her siblings were not much older than she is now — Neva had gone to a nearby market to purchase herbs to help with Edelira’s contractions when they became. On her journey home, Neva was attacked by fae hunters, her wings stripped from her limp body. Andres, Edelira, and their two children would go searching for her when she was not back by the next morning, only to be met with a horror they had never imagined. 

It was Neva’s death that would shape Alondra’s childhood. Fearful that a similar fate could befall Edelira, Andres and his remaining mate made the decision that a heavily pregnant Edelira would once more enter the garden and raise their unborn child from the walls within. Edelira and Andres would have to live separately, and though the decision seemed rash to others, their heartbreak was the reason for such a difficult decision. Alondra’s half-sister was given the choice to stay with Andres or live in the Garden with Edelira, but she chose to remain with her brother and father. They would be able to visit, of course, but it was no less heart wrenching when Edelira left their home and returned to the place she had been born.

Alondra was born early, caused by the stress of Neva’s death and Edelira’s sorrow of losing her very first love. With dragonfly wings that shined like aquamarine and sapphires, Alondra’s childhood was very different from that of her half siblings. Alondra grew and thrived in the Garden as Neva and Edelira had, and quickly showed promise as a skilled courtesan — she was flirtatious, adventurous, and try as she might to show her mother otherwise, naive and somewhat immature. While her siblings and father shared a bond unlike anything she had ever seen, Alondra was not able to see them often, as her mother tried to keep her within the safety of the Garden. She grew up on stories of the outside world and her siblings adventures, and longed for nothing more than to see Astralis for herself and venture outside the Garden walls — so much so that the minute her father and siblings visited, she insisted on sitting together and hearing everything they had done since their last visit. Who they had met, what they had seen — Alondra drank it all in, eager to one day explore the world on her own. 

Yet, it simply didn’t seem like that was her destiny. Edelira raised Alondra with the explicit intention of Alondra remaining within the Garden and living out her life in the Orchard, where the Wild Hunt protected them from the humans who had taken Neva from them. Neva, who Alondra wanted nothing more to be like, because her mother, father, and siblings painted the picture of the most extraordinary woman in the world. Try as she might to convince her mother to allow her to once day leave the Garden, Edelira would not budge, too afraid to lose another member of their family. Alondra was too soft, too gentle, too kind; the world would tear her apart if she ever left.

For many years, Alondra accepted her fate — until she was old enough to explore the Garden on her own, and began to hear more stories from the outside world. Thorns — femme fatals who used their looks and Garden-honed skills to seduce the highest ranking of fae, who explored the Courts in the name of their Rose Queen. Alondra decided then and there that that was what she would become, though her mother informed her that to be a Thorn was to be a silent weapon, to use the gifts that they had been given at birth to manipulate dangerous people and expose the worst of secrets. Edelira insisted that her daughter was too gentle to become such a thing — better that she allow herself to be gentle and kind for the rest of her days and not trouble herself with the horrors of the outside world. 

But try as she might to convince her daughter, Alondra was set in her decision — and so began her training as a Thorn. But despite how hard she tried, it quickly became obvious that she might not have what it took to become a seductress. Alondra learned how to manipulate and seduce as well as the other nymphs in training, and yet, she did not become the elegant woman she had hoped. Rather, her teachers always told her that she needed to be less of herself and more the part she was training to be. She was bubbly, naive, and a little air-headed — traits that made Alondra angry, because she did not want to change herself, yet wanted nothing more in the world than to be a proper Thorn, a dagger laid atop red  velvet. Because of this, Alondra’s training seemed to slow — she took more time to learn than the others did, to perfect the art of elegance and the danger of a hidden smile. That is, until one of her teachers finally took her aside, and told her something that has become her mantra — use it.

It was those two simple words that flipped a switch for Alondra. She would use her naivety — she would use the way that nobody took her seriously to her advantage. People seemed to trust her more, to assume she was not a threat because she laughed like she was still a nymphet and played like she had never left childhood behind. Soon enough, it became clear that Alondra would be as good a Thorn as the rest of them — in her own way, using her childlike glee to trick people into a false sense of security. Once she learned to embrace what she at first wished to be rid of, Alondra thrived, able to use her doll eyes and pouted lip to trick even the hardest of people into revealing the secrets they kept. Why would anybody have to worry about a girl like her? She was harmless, wasn’t she?

She became a beautiful flower, poisonous to the touch of an unexpected hand. 

Alondra has at long last finished her training within the Garden, and though her mother is fearful for her safety, she is ready to brave the dangerous world and practice her perfected skills. Now, the time has come for her to venture outside of the only place she has ever known, time to brave the world and make her Rose Queen proud. A rose she may seem, but Alondra is in every way a Thorn — and she plans to prove that softness is not a weakness, but rather a powerful weapon simply laying in wait.

I write multiple paragraphs/novella style (200-500+ words). I love to write detailed descriptions and delve into a character’s head/emotions as well as surroundings. I compare it to writing a novel together. I understand if the scene doesn’t have alot going on and therefore requires less like rapid fire. I like to have a good mix of plot and tastefully written smut, along with doses of angst and fluff. - For you to write as an older man (40s+/50s+).
