This is from 08x16. Really I did NOT think the late seasons of TBBT would have scenes like this. I'm a huge sucker for this kind of content. Sincerity, empathy, characters trying to genuinely understand how the other perceives the world and what their life is like. Rest under the cut.

So now even Big Bang Theory creators regret ending Penny's character the way they did? Wow I wonder how come they didn't realize before that that Penny, who wanted to become an actress, had unhealthy relationship with Leonard and didn't like kids, shouldn't have abandoned her dream, married Leonard and gotten pregnant in the end and thought this was a good ending. Sure it's a nice finish for shippers and a solution to gather all main characters on the same pile but don't hurt the character for that. They can stay in touch even if Penny follows her dreams and Leonard finds someone else to date. Penny was still friends with other characters.

More people in tbbt fandom need to talk about the potential Raj, Howard, and Bernadette had as a throuple. Bernadette and Howard obviously like each other as they married but Raj also liked Bernadette for some time. That even made Raj and Howard kiss once, albeit on accident. And Raj and Howard are extremely close, enough that Bernadette sometimes calls Raj Howard’s boyfriend. This is prime for a polyamorous relationship.

Also, Amy and Penny being girlfriends but that’s not related.

Edit: it’s implied that Howard used to call Raj ‘honey’

One of my favourite Penny/Leonard moments is when they're arguing - as usual - but on Wil's podcast this time, and money comes up, Leonard thinks he's obviously making more money than Penny and it comes out that not only is she out-earning him, she has a well-hedged stock portfolio and "a guy", as in an investment adviser, who planned her investment strategy with her, and that strategy isn't even overly conservative, like she has some risky investments. And then it's just never brought up again.

It's an unexpected choice for her, clearly added for comedic purposes, but since it's July '23 all I can think is that it's a big Barbie and Ken moment for them.
