Malevolent (2018)

Rating before seeing the movie: Nic: 9 Vic: 9

Rating after seeing the movie: Nic: 9 Vic: 9.5

What you did like about the movie:

The ghost girls were wonderful for the short time we say them.

The special effects were really good.

Elliot was the only character that really mattered to us.

Mrs. Green was a good villain.

The sets were really nice, the house actually looked big.

What you didn’t like about the movie:

The twists were so obvious.

Jackson wasn’t a very good brother and Claire wasn’t a very good sister. They were both just not very good characters.

We both think that this movie would do better as a found footage film instead, with Elliot as the lead.

More ghosts would be nice.

Particularly memorable scene: Vic: The mannequin at the very beginning. Nic: Anything with Eliot

Would you watch it again: Vic: Maybe? Nic: Possibly

Final thoughts: Vic: “MORE GHOSTS.” Nic: “#TeamElliot”

This is the end of Season 1, and the story will return after the New Year, with chapter 17 in Season 2! I have already summarised chapter 17 through 19 on my storyboard; so we are well on track!

Lastly, this simlit will remain Teen Rated, however, I will be pushing the boundaries in just about every aspect in Season 2. That said, content will never warrant a NSFW rating but be prepared for a pendulum swing with language, subject matter, and photography.
