Everytime I go onto the MCC subreddit, I am reminded why I avoid Techno stans.

The final team is announced, Ranboo is in it. Ranboo comments about it. 90% of the comments under the teampost in the reddit, and a good 80% of the comments under his comment are about being sad that Techno is not in it...

We knew this.

Techno was never going to be in it. He specifically returned for the charity and informal situation surrounding MCC Pride, he still doesn't want to compete in regular events.

We know people want Techno content, but Techno is mentioned bloody everywhere and when people call those people out they go 'it's just a joke' IT'S STILL FUCKING ANNOYING.

I don't mind Techno, his content is fine. But his stans really need to just shut up about him when it's not in any way about him.

Het witte klinische werkpak komt met volle vaart uit de kledinguitgifte-automaat gezoefd. Ik wissel mijn luchtig zomerjurkje om voor het pak en kan de werkdag beginnen. Pak aan, knop om. Ik loop de oncologische dagbehandeling op, de stageplaats van mijn vervolgopleiding. Patiënten worden hier opgenomen om via het infuus chemotherapie te ontvangen. Een heftige afdeling om te werken als verpleegkundige. Zowel het intensief begeleiden van de patiënten als het klaarmaken van de therapie vergt veel aandacht en zorg. Na een korte dagstart in de teampost, duik ik met een ferme pas de juiste hoek in, waar vier loungestoelen voor de patiënten van de dagbehandeling klaarstaan. Ondertussen beredeneer ik in gedachten de waargenomen symptomen van mijn patiënt.  Al mijmerend volg ik mijn pad, totdat ik iets verdachts in mijn ooghoek zie. Onder een van de grote stoelen steken twee benen uit. Roerloos ligt een man met spijkerbroek en sportschoenen gestrekt onder de stoel. Ik schik en gooi de meegenomen papieren van me af. Ik knijp mijn pieper bijna fijn en ga op de situatie af. “Hoe bent u daar terecht gekomen meneer, bent u hard gevallen?” “Ik kom u helpen, heeft u zich bezeerd?” Een stroom van scenario’s gaan in enkele secondes door mij heen. Ik moet actie ondernemen! Waar is de bloeddrukband? Ik roep om hulp en bedenk of de route veilig en toegankelijk is om het reanimatieteam te laten komen. Als reactie op mijn vragenvuur klinkt er een hoog piepende boormachine onder de stoel vandaan. Met een behendige zwiep komt de techneut tevoorschijn. De ogen van de man kijken me glinsterend aan: “niks aan de hand meisje, de stoel moest alleen even aangedraaid worden.”  Ik ontspan en voel me stom. De “ik-red-levens-stand” staat beduidend permanent aan in het ziekenhuis.
