Wu is tired.
He's been tired for years; but never, has he ever, felt more weighed down then he did now.
Things have always been tense between him and Garmadon. He was a kind and patient soul, but there was always something "off" about his brother that rubbed him the wrong way.
When Lloyd died, Wu could see the shatters of Garmadon's heart in his eyes. The bright light the Wu enjoyed snuffed out like candle light. Only hardness and jagged stone were there now.
It was a horrible, terrible accident. Morro in particular, had grown depressed because of his own involvement.
"It doesn't matter what my intentions were, Wu," he spat. "Lloyd is dead because I took a joke too far. How can I look Uncle Garmadon in the eye again? I killed his son!"
Morro disappeared himself not too long after that meltdown. Wu gave him the weekend to get some space; everyone grieves in different ways and Wu didn't want to make things any worse for his adopted son.
Months later there was still no sign of him.
Garmadon was of no help, throwing himself into his work. Wu visited once a week to make sure his brother didn't kill himself and to force him to eat. He was a shell of the man Wu grew up with.
So Wu did what young brothers did best.
He snooped.
And he could not have been more horrified.
Children...some as old as Lloyd used to be...some before and some after the missing ones...he killed them all. Animatronics designed to steal and murder children.
His brother has been sick of a long time and Wu never noticed. He had been suspicious about Garmadon's mental health for a long time, but he never investigated as he should have. Those children were dead and it's partly Wu's fault.
When he learned that Juniors' was experiencing some technical difficulties with the animatronics? Well, Wu has always believed in the supernatural, and he owed it to the victims for not only his inaction, but for the pain Garmadon has caused. He wouldn't fix this, so it was up to Wu to help the children move on.
Which brings him to now.
In an underground facility.
In the scooping room.
He looked for this place for years. His brother spoke of it before the incidents. It was going to be a way to bounce back from the reputation Freddy's had gained; a sister location, if you will. Of course, it never took off. Garmadon had cancelled the opening day just hours before it was due and Wu never learned why.
And now he knows.
Wu knew that voice, and though they were now robotic, his eyes barely changed at all.
Morro was angry and hurt, looking for revenge in a haze. Wu's heart lurched and twisted painfully. His poor son, reduced to this. Never did he think Garmadon would be so calloused.
Wu could offer no comfort. Not for the first time, Wu hated that he looked so similar to his brother. The tortured souls were so hurt that they could not see clearly.
Which is why Wu didn't fight it. If this was a way to atone for his sins and help his son move on to the greater plane, then so be it.
Ennard activated the scooper, and Wu crumpled to the ground with a smile.
------------
"You won't die," an apologetic voice whispered. "You won't die."
"I'm so sorry."

Glamstar AU: Final Chapter
The final chapter is here! Now unlike chapter 23, this one is the actual true ending!
I felt like ending things on a happy note, a stark contrast to the way the bad ending turned out. And worry not, I'm currently working on some redesign art!
As always, enjoy the chapter! And thank you for following the story all the way to the end!

Chapter 24: The End
SAVE THEM?
«YES» NO
“We have to help her.” Michael decided, squaring his shoulders. It wasn’t right, leaving her behind. It shouldn’t have taken him that long to realize that.
“I grow tired of this. When will you all learn that I am the one who is in control?” Burntrap slashed at The Blob’s face with his claws, causing the creature to howl in pain and partially retreat backwards. He grabbed Momo by her shoulders, digging into the flesh and drawing her blood.
“Let go of me,” she recoiled, holding her left hand as far away from him as possible.
“You think I didn’t notice what you did? Why risk your life for that chip?”
“Bonnie deserves a second chance. Unlike you.” Momo spat, eliciting a chuckle from him.
“Charlie, you’ve given me all the second chances I needed. You removed that meddlesome rabbit from me. That uppity bastard has been a thorn in my side from the very beginning. I’ve no need for him, and I will not miss him. I am free now. Thanks to you.”
Her eyes widened at that. Bonnie was the one keeping William in check? Then what happens now that they’re separated?
“Charlie!”
Momo turned, seeing Michael and the children gesturing to her from the edge. Coming to rescue her? Burntrap was here, and The Blob was slowly recovering. Either way, it was still too dangerous to get too close.
She chewed on her lip, internally debating with herself.
“Momo! Come here while that big synthetic is distracted!” Gregory attempted to get closer but the ground beneath him began to crumble. Michael quickly grabbed him to keep him from falling into the pit, mumbling something about “being careful” under his breath.
“No. I’m not going to let you hurt anyone else. Michael! Catch!” She tossed the chip as far as she could, luckily making it close enough so that Michael could grab it before it hit the ground.
“I gotcha, buddy. I gotcha.” He looked down at the chip wistfully, and felt his vision flicker. Almost immediately, it felt like a giant metal spike was being hammered through his skull. The base of his neck began to burn. “Nngh!”
“You may have spared the rabbit,” Burntrap cooed, leaning close to her face. “But you forget your situation. The amalgamation has seen you as a threat. You’ll die here with me.”
“Ennard!” Michael called out through the pain, covering the back of his neck. “Ennard, Charlie isn’t your enemy! She’s just like you, a victim of William!”
〘Just like us?〙 the creature lowered its head, as if debating the information. It was confused, but words were getting through to it. It was a good first step.
“Don’t listen to them!” Burntrap goaded, grabbing Momo by her jaw and forcing her to look at The Blob. “She’s no friend! Circus Baby is a part of her. She’s on my side!”
The amalgamation snarled, raising itself up in a threatening manner. Technically, William wasn’t wrong. But she had forced Circus Baby out when Jin removed the chip. How can she prove she’s not the same anymore?
“You know what, William? I oughta thank you.”
Burntrap glared at her, his expression a cross between suspicious and intrigued.
“If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be in this mess. But I also wouldn’t have the perfect way out.”
“What are you babbling about n―” The sound of humming filled the air, causing Burntrap to wince. It took him but a moment to realize what the noise really was.
Momo’s appearance shifted, her hair and eyes turning from white and green to brown. She put her hands out, gently caressing The Blob’s damaged face.
“You can’t be that stupid! She’s trying to trick you!”
“It’s okay.” Charlie said softly, smiling. “We’re all on your side. Let us go.”
It seemed to understand then. Carefully, it placed Momo back on the ledge with the others.
“No! She needs to die! They all need to die!”
〘Charlie did nothing wrong.〙 The Blob hissed, wrapping its tentacles around each of Burntrap’s limbs. 〘You’re trying to trick us again. All you ever do is try to trick us! We won’t let you trick us anymore!〙
Michael and the others watched as Burntrap was ripped to pieces, each limb torn from his body and discarded to the fire below. When he was nothing more than a torso and a head, the creature gave a content hum.
〘Goodbye.〙
“No!” Burntrap tried to resist, but without his limbs there was nothing he could do. He was pulled down into the flames, held tight by The Blob as if he were in any condition to escape.
Michael and Momo watched as they fell, disappearing beneath the roaring blaze. There was no way anything could survive that fall. Even if it did, the fire would finish off the rest of it.
“Is it over?” Momo asked, unable to tear her eyes away from the sinkhole.
“God I hope so.” Michael sighed. He felt exhausted, but luckily enough the pain had subsided. “We probably shouldn’t stay here. The fire isn’t spreading, but there’s no air flow down here. The smoke will end up suffocating the kids.”
Jaime paused at the edge of the sinkhole, reaching into her bag and pulling out the golden Bonnie plush she had found earlier. The longer she held onto it, the worse the feeling in the pit of her stomach felt.
“Jaime, let’s head back now, okay?”
“I’m coming.” she said, throwing the plush into the fire. “I just had to get rid of something gross from my backpack.”
–
When they made it back to the elevator, Jin was content that it would survive the trip back. After hearing Momo explain the situation, however, her optimism quickly faded.
“You mean this thing has to handle more trips??” she whined, grabbing fistfuls of her own hair. “I had a hard enough time getting this thing to work for just this time! Don’t fire fighters have their own elevators or climbing apparatus??”
“Well yeah,” Joyner scoffed. “But usually they’re on the back of a fire truck. How are we going to squeeze one in here?”
“Figure it out! I don’t want to work on this damn elevator again! In fact I never want to see this elevator or sinkhole ever again!”
Michael watched as Jin belted out her grievances to the poor detective, grinning a bit. He felt something nudge his side, and when he turned around he saw Momo smirking at him.
“You should talk to her,” she whispered, nodding towards Jin. “Imagine how happy she’d be to know it’s you.”
“I can’t do that.” Michael replied, shaking his head to add emphasis. “This isn’t my body. I’m not even supposed to be here like this. It wouldn’t be fair to her.”
Jaime blinked slowly, listening to Momo and her father talk amongst themselves.
Their discussion gave her an idea.
–
“How’s your face?” Jaime said, climbing up the back of the ambulance to sit beside Gregory.
“The medic said it’s definitely gonna be a big scar.” he replied, shrugging under the blanket the paramedics provided for him. “But we already knew that.”
Jaime looked down at her shoes. “I’m sorry about your face. I know it wasn’t really my fault, but I still feel bad. You were in that situation because of me.”
Gregory leaned back a bit against the edge of the gurney, looking out towards the skyline.
“Maybe, but that’s what friends are for. We fight serial killer robot bunnies for each other. Getting a scratch or two is nothing to be ashamed of.”
She wiped her eyes, laughing at that.
“Then maybe it’s a good thing we’re friends?”
“Best friends. And nothing’s gonna change that. Besides, I doubt that anyone else would want to put up with us.” They both laughed aloud, leaning forward and gently bumping foreheads.
“Wow, you almost wouldn’t know that you two were knocking on death’s door today.” Momo grinned, walking up to the kids. She was wearing an oversized jacket and her damaged skin was wrapped with gauze.
“Momo! How are you feeling?” Gregory and Jaime scooted apart, giving the synthetic room to sit with them.
“Better. The paramedics didn’t ask too many questions, so they just wrapped me up as if I were a normal human. I’ll probably need some real maintenance later, when everything calms down.”
The three sat, quietly watching as more fire trucks drove onto the scene. Probably to quell the fire in the sinkhole.
“Did you say anything to your dad?” Momo broke the silence, looking down at Jaime who nodded in response.
“We talked for a bit before he gave Freddy control again. I don’t think that’ll be the last time I talk to him, but I didn’t want him to leave before I said goodbye anyways.”
“That’s good.” she smiled, gently nudging Gregory. “The others are okay too, just to let you know. DJ Music Man brought the pods out while we were underground. I think he just wanted to be safe. Sammy had to request out on his radio to get some calls to Fazbear Entertainment.”
Gregory exhaled, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. Momo shifted a bit, pulling something out of her pocket. She held it out and the kids turned to look at it, tilting their heads.
“That’s the Golden Bonnie’s mother chip, right?”
“Mhm. I was worried that maybe he’d be corrupted by William, but he said that Bonnie was the one keeping him contained.” HRMN.1 furrowed her brow, stroking the device with her thumb gently. “We saved him, but what if he didn’t want us to? What if the mother chip doesn’t even work anymore?”
“We could help him. Like we did with you.” Gregory offered, leaning against Momo’s side. “One day at a time.”
Jaime leant against Momo’s other side, reaching out and putting her hand on the chip. “He has a whole family waiting for him when he feels better.”
Gregory put his hand on Jaime’s, and Momo closed her hands around theirs. In the distance, the sky blossomed with warm colors, reds and yellows that broke apart the purples and blues of nighttime. Momo’s expression softened as she watched the scenery.
Somehow, someway, they had survived the night. After everything, they had survived. At her side, the soft sound of breathing came from the children. She looked down, seeing that they had fallen asleep. It had been a long week and an even longer night. Momo didn’t disturb them, going back to looking at the sunrise.
When will we get our happy ending? Freddy’s words from before echoed in her head. After today, she was finally able to respond.
“Right now.” Momo smiled, resting her hands in her lap.
–
15 years later.
A woman with black hair styled in a bob briskly walked across the lobby of the Mega Pizzaplex. She was dressed up in a stylish navy suit, a white button-up, and a checkered tie. Her heeled pumps clacked across the flooring as she made her way to her destination.
“Ah, Miss Rina.”
The woman turned around, brushing her bangs out of her eyes. Standing across from her was none other than Freddy Fazbear. He gave her a gentle smile, but she seemed to be in a bad mood.
“Enough games, Fazbear.” Rina tsked, pulling down her sleeve a bit to look at the underside of her wrist. Checking her watch, from what Freddy could see. “The meeting is in less than an hour, and I’ve yet to get any response from him yet.”
“I am sure that he is just busy.” Freddy soothed, but his words only served to make the woman more annoyed.
“He shouldn’t be busy! What part of ‘the meeting is in less than an hour’ do you people not understand?! Ugh!” With a graceful spin on the ball of her foot, she stomped off, leaving Freddy to awkwardly wave to her.
Rina’s encounters with the other synthetics did nothing to improve her mood.
Chica was too busy eating to give her any information that mattered.
Roxanne slammed her green room door in Rina’s face.
Monty, well. . .Rina figured he wouldn’t be of any help, so she decided not to speak to him.
Her wild goose chase eventually led her to Bonnie Bowl, which was currently closed for maintenance. She pulled the door open, stepping inside with a less-than-dignified huff. And, as if the gods had smiled on her efforts, she saw the object of her search standing in the ice cream parlor of the bowling alley, speaking with Bonnie.
“Mr. Fazbear!” she nearly sobbed, hurrying over to him as if expecting the man to disappear if she took her eyes off of him. “I’ve been looking all over for you! The meeting is going to start soon and you’re going to be la― What are you wearing?!”
“What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?” The man looked down at himself. He was wearing a mechanic jumpsuit, stained with oil and paint. A stark opposite of Rina’s classy appearance.
“Please tell me you didn’t forget about the meeting!” she wailed, on the verge of tears again, although this time for a completely different reason. “This is way too important! If you’re late, it could cause the entire deal to fall through!”
The man hummed, tilting his head back. “Hmmmm. Meeting. Nope, doesn’t ring a bell.”
“Gregory.” Bonnie warned, leaning against the counter. “Give her a break for once.”
Gregory sucked in a breath, trying in vain to hold back his laughter at Rina’s confused yet heartbroken face. He unzipped the jumpsuit, pulling it off to reveal that he was wearing a suit the entire time.
“See, Ri?” he flashed a grin, spinning slowly so she could get a good look at him. “I clean up nice, doncha think?”
“Mr. Fazbear―!”
“Hey, Greg.” Monty said, walking into the attraction. He was currently looking over his shoulder at the door, oblivious to what was in front of him. “Dunno if ya noticed, but that uptight secretary of yours is stomping around. I reckon she’s looking for. . .you. . .” The synthetic bit his tongue as he finally looked forward, noticing the two humans standing there with varying shades of amusement and irritation on their faces.
“Yes, Montgomery, I believe he knows.” Bonnie rolled his eyes, gesturing incredulously.
“Well, this uptight secretary has a co-owner to deliver to a very important meeting, so if we can please head out now―” Rina hooked her arm around Gregory’s trying to pull him along. However, he barely budged. Seems he wasn’t ready to go yet.
“Sorry Rina, I gotta check on Bonnie before I head out.”
“What do you mean? He’s right there, and he looks fine! He can manage a couple hours without you!”
“Not me,” the purple rabbit said, nodding over to a booth in the corner of the parlor. There, slumped over the table, was a tan man with golden hair and rabbit ears. “That Bonnie.”
“Hey, Bon! Wake up, I need to do some maintenance!” Gregory called, stirring the other rabbit from his slumber.
“Oh, right.” Honestly, Rina had forgotten all about that other Bonnie. She rarely saw him, if ever. “Well, hurry it up.”
The gold rabbit approached the group, and Rina nearly recoiled at how tall he was. He had to be the same height as Monty and Freddy, maybe even a bit taller.
“Good morning, Greg, Baby Bun, Monty, and scary-looking woman I don’t know~” he cooed, his voice smooth and soft. It sounded like he was whispering, or was just really soft spoken to the point of being hard to hear.
“It’s afternoon, you slacker.” Bonnie hissed, expressing his disdain at the nickname. “You were supposed to get checked out hours ago.”
“Sorry, sorry~” The gold Bonnie hummed, placing a hand on his chin. “I’m ready now, honest~”
“It’s nothing major, Bonnie,” Gregory said, taking a notepad out of his jumpsuit pocket. “I wanna know if you’re still having those nightmares.”
The rabbit paused, his expression becoming distant. He closed his eyes and seemed to retreat within himself, lost in thought.
Rina wondered if maybe that question upset the synthetic with how quiet he became. However, after a minute, a soft noise began to emanate from him.
“Snnnzzzz. . .”
“O-oi! He fell asleep!” Monty said, his hands on his hips. “Bon! Wake up, man!”
“Are you kidding?!” the purple Bonnie grimaced, rounding the counter to approach his elder model. “Who falls asleep standing up while being questioned?!”
Gregory tilted his head back and laughed, waving his hand dismissively. “Looks like he’s fine! And even if he isn’t, I’ll just talk to him later. I should head out for now.”
Rina was lost at what was happening. Rabbits falling asleep standing up, nightmares, it was all just too confusing for her. What wasn’t confusing, however, was Gregory’s last remark.
“Head out?”
The man smiled down at her, patting her shoulder. “I mean, we have a meeting to get to, right?”
She just stared at him for a few seconds as her brain finally processed what he was saying. Rina screamed, throwing her hands up.
“We’re gonna be late for the meeting!!”
–
“Charlie!”
The woman shifted a bit under the blankets, groaning and hugging a pillow as someone loudly knocked on her bedroom door. The knocking only increased in volume when she didn’t verbally respond, so in turn she threw one of her pillows at the door.
“I’m awake! Sheesh.”
The door opened and detective Joyner poked his head in. His face was swiftly met with another thrown pillow. He caught the pillow before it hit the ground, leaning down to scoop up the other discarded item as well.
“Good morning to you too, Charlie.”
“What time is it?”
“Almost 8am.”
She groaned loudly, flopping back onto the bed as the man returned her pillows to her. “Isn’t it illegal to wake someone up that early?”
“ ‘Fraid not,” Joyner smiled, pulling open the blinds for her window. Sunlight streamed in, lighting the previously dark room. “You have a day off today, but that’s only because you have that big meeting to go to. What was it, the Afton merger?”
HRMN.1 rubbed at her eyes, despite not actually needing to do so. She’d gotten so comfortable acting human that she usually forgot that most things don’t bother her. Except waking up early.
“Yeah, Afton LLC and Fazbear Entertainment are aiming to consolidate their assets and work as one partner company rather than two competitors.” Momo pulled the charging plug out of her back, sighing softly. “50 years too late, if you ask me.”
Joyner walked over, sitting beside her on the bed.
“Are you sure you want to do this? I feel bad, shoving all of this on you.”
Momo blinked. “You didn’t shove anything on me. You said yourself you didn’t want ownership of Fazbear Entertainment anymore. I told you, me and Gregory could handle it.”
At the mention of the boy’s name, Samson nodded approvingly. “He had to grow up fast. I’m amazed at how well he does in a professional setting. Some people would think that a guy raised by robots would be a weirdo or something.”
“Oh, Gregory is still a weirdo.” Momo quipped, walking over to her closet. She reached inside and pulled out a dress bag, holding it gently across her arms. “But apparently people think he’s attractive now, so he gets away with it.”
She unzipped the bag, partially pulling out a shimmering gold dress. From the bed, Joyner scrunched up his face in disapproval.
“You’re going to wear that to the meeting?”
“Yeah? Why not?”
He huffed, scratching the back of his head. “It’s a bit revealing, don’t you think? There’s a bunch of old men on the community board, I’d rather you not end up as a piece of eye candy for them.”
“No way!” Momo squawked, pointing at Sammy incredulously. “You’re pulling a dad on me??”
“When you’re not on that Pizzaplex stage, you’re legally Samantha Emily, aka my daughter! Sue me for falling into the role a bit!”
“I’m over 60 years old!”
“No one else knows that! You don’t look a day over 25!”
The two glared at each other, but per usual, Sammy was the one who conceded defeat.
“Fine, wear the stupid dress.”
Momo giddly ran to the bathroom, taking the dress along to get changed.
“Just make sure you bring a jacket or something.”
“Get out, Sammy!”
–
The blonde looked at herself in the mirror, watching through tinted shades as the purple glow in her eyes slowly dulled. She hated when they got like this. And on today of all days.
“Having trouble calming down?”
She looked up to the mirror again, using its reflection to see who was behind her without turning around.
“Father.”
The man approached, putting his hands on her shoulders. He met her eyes through the mirror.
“Jaime, you need to relax. If you don’t, the glow won’t go away completely.” Michael said softly, rubbing her shoulders in a comforting way. “It’s just a meeting, you’ve been to hundreds of those.”
“This isn’t the same, Father.” Jaime turned around to truly face him, pulling the sunglasses off. “I can handle a normal meeting. This isn’t a normal meeting. Gregory and HRMN.1 will be there, and I haven’t seen them in so long. What if they don’t recognize me? What if I don’t recognize them?”
Michael shrugged, casually disregarding her worries.
“They would never forget you, and you’d never forget them. So that’s a silly thing to worry about.”
She knew that he was right, but it didn’t make her feel any better. “Enough about me. How are you enjoying the upgraded body?”
“Feeling much better, thank you.” Michael patted his chest, grinning gently. “It’s amazing how far technology can advance in such a short time. It felt like only yesterday you were learning how to tighten a wheel bolt.”
Jaime audibly groaned, rolling her eyes.
“Well I guess it’s a good thing mom was there to help me.”
“True,” He leaned to look in the mirror, adjusting his hair a bit. “Your mother is amazingly compassionate, even when she has every right to be angry or confused. Sometimes I’m glad she doesn’t see the world like a normal person would.”
“Is that right?” Jin crossed her arms, appearing in the door frame almost as if summoned. “So you’re saying I’m not normal?”
Michael quickly tried to backtrack, fumbling over the words as he attempted to explain exactly what he meant. Ignoring him, she approached Jaime and gave her a tight hug.
“Mother?”
“I’m just really proud of you. I don’t think I’ve ever said it, but it’s true. I’m so, so proud.”
Jaime returned the hug, relaxing in her mother’s arms. Until a loud beeping noise began to ring out.
“Looks like someone’s gonna be late to work,” Michael chided. “Better hurry along.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Jin planted a kiss on Jaime’s forehead, moving to her husband to kiss his cheek.
“Have fun at work, traitor.”
“You can’t make that joke after today, Afton LLC and Fazbear Entertainment aren’t going to be competitors anymore!” Jin fired back, hurrying out of the room before he could retort.
Jaime put the shades back on, seeing that the purple glow had finally subsided.
“You should get going too,” Michael gently took the shades from her. “Wouldn’t want to be late seeing your boyfriend, Gregory.”
“He’s not my boyfriend. He doesn’t even like me in that way.” she scoffed, grabbing her purse.
The man crossed his arms, shaking his head as she walked out.
“I can’t be the only one who sees it. . . right?”
–
Samantha pursed her lips, adjusting her bangs slightly. Her long brown hair was tied up carefully in a braided bun and she was wearing her sleek gold dress. Though she didn’t want to admit that her brother was right, it did show just a bit too much of her skin. She stood in front of large wooden double doors and beside her was a sign that said “CONFERENCE ROOM ONE; FAZBEAR ENT. & AFTON LLC MERGER MEETING” in uniform black letters. She checked her phone.
2:07PM. They were late.
She sighed, adjusting her bangs again. She was careful not to mess up her perfectly styled up-do, but she would have preferred her bangs being pinned back as well.
“Sammy? It’s been so long!”
The woman looked up from her phone towards the voice. A blonde woman in a dark gray jacket and pink skirt was waving to her as she hurried down the hall.
“Jaime, hi!” Sammy threw her arms around the blonde, hugging her tight. Jaime laughed, returning the gesture. “Oh my gosh, let me get a look at you. Geez, how many years has it been since we met face to face like this?”
“7. 6, if you consider Facetime as ‘face-to-face’.” Jaime smiled, her expression soft and relaxed. “ I’m glad to see you doing well. How’s your brother?”
Sammy tsked, tilting her head as she averted her eyes. “Crotchety, like any old man. Can you believe he didn’t want me wearing this dress? Too revealing he said! I’m over 50 years old, I think I can reserve the right to wear what I want!”
Jaime snorted, her eyes lingering on Sammy’s deep brown hair. She gestured to it, grinning. “Wig?”
“Nope, illusion chip.” the woman closed her eyes. Immediately, her hair turned from brown to a bright alabaster white. “Wearing a wig was way too unnatural for me.”
“I like the white. But brown looks good on you, Momo.” Jaime said softly, watching as the synthetic’s hair returned to its brown hue.
“Of course it does.” Momo said cheekily, winking. “It’s my natural hair color, after all.”
“Go, go, go!” Rina screeched from an elevator that opened nearby, shoving Gregory out. “You’re late! I told you to hurry!”
“Being fashionably late is an attractive trait, Rina!” he laughed, backing out of the elevator and towards the conference hall.
“Hoh? Attractive to who?” Jaime mused, her voice snapping Gregory out of his nonsensical attitude. He whipped around, as if believing his ears were deceiving him.
“Jaime―” he breathed, looking down at her like a deer in headlights.
“Hey, Greg. Long time no see.” She quirked an eyebrow, grinning knowingly at him. “I see that scar is still just as noticeable as ever, huh?”
“Yeah, uh, Rina― that’s my secretary, not a girlfriend or anything― she said I should cover it up, but I mean, everyone is used to it, so why not just let it hang out? Uh, not like, hang out, I just―”
“I’m glad you didn’t cover it up.” the blonde laughed, crossing an arm under her chest. “It’s very you.”
“Oh, you think so?” Gregory beamed a bit, scratching the back of his head.
Momo made a face, clearing her throat to get their attention. “If you two are done, we have a meeting to attend.”
“Oh, shit!” he swore, approaching the doors and pushing them open. He stood to keep the doors held, gesturing inside. “Ladies first.”
“Gee, thanks.” Momo stepped in with Jaime following close behind.
“Ms. Emily, Ms. Afton, Mr. Fazbear,” came a serious voice from within. “I’m sure you’re aware that you’re almost 15 minutes late to our meeting. We were about to start without you.”
“Then we’ll just have to make this quick,” Gregory replied, letting go of the door so that it could shut. “Ladies, gentlemen.
“Let’s get the party started, shall we?”
–
“Congrats on a successful merger!” Sammy cried, her hair untied and resting on her shoulders. In her hand was a takeout coffee cup, which she held as if she were proposing a toast.
“Yeah yeah, here.” Gregory took off his suit jacket and placed it over her. “I know you can’t really get sick or anything, but I’m just getting cold looking at you.”
“You sound like my brother.” The synthetic huffed, rolling her eyes. Men. She held the jacket in place with one hand, her coffee in her other hand. “Ever the gentleman, huh? Why not offer your jacket to Jaime?”
“She’s already wearing a jacket!”
Jaime took a sip from her soda can, glancing over as she heard her name.
“It’s the principle of it!”
“In what regard?!”
“It's romantic! Sharing your jacket with someone you lo―”
“Ah ah ah! Stop talking! You hear me?!”
Jaime didn’t understand what they were talking about, but as long as they seemed to be having fun. She took another sip from the can and grimaced.
“Hey, Greg? Do you want the rest of this soda?” She offered the can to him, and he accepted it without even glancing over, still keeping his glare on Sammy.
“Sure, thanks.” he brought the can to his lips, taking a few sips. He stopped when he felt the brunette’s eyes boring holes into him, though. “What?”
She feigned shock, dramatically placing a hand to her forehead. “An indirect kiss. . .”
Gregory spat out soda, his face almost as deep red as his suit jacket. “What are you, 10?! Act your age, for cryin’ out loud!” he hollered, causing the woman to laugh at his distress.
Jaime was ignoring them, looking out at the nighttime scenery around them. The walkway they were on was just out of the way enough to show off the glittering lights of the buildings in the distance.
“Hey guys, doesn’t this remind you of that night?”
Gregory and Sammy ceased their bickering, turning to look at Jaime. She returned the gaze, pointing out to the skyline.
“Remember? 15 years ago, after we escaped my grandfather?”
“Geez, how could I forget?” Sammy walked over to the banister, setting her coffee down. “We almost died that night, can you believe it? 15 whole years ago.”
“Feels like a whole lifetime ago.” Gregory stretched himself a bit, sitting on the concrete stairs in front of them. “It’s been so. . .peaceful.”
“Everything came to an end that night. William, the children,” Sammy paused, playing with the lid of her coffee cup. “They’re all finally resting.”
The three lingered there, watching the distant twinkling of the building lights. It was a gentle and reflective silence, each one remembering the events of that night and feeling stronger for it.
They had survived.
Everyone deserves a happy ending in some regard. Whether or not they had to fight to achieve it always remains to be seen. Everything came to an end, but where there is an ending, there’s always a new beginning. Something always rises from the ashes, but not all things that come back are evil or looking to cause trouble.
For now, this is good enough for Gregory. 15 years is a long time to wait for the remnants of the end to form a new beginning.
It’s a good thing he doesn't have to wait alone anymore.

Fazbear Frights: What We Found Analysis
Here’s my analysis for What We Found, the third story in Gumdrop Angel. I wrote this as I read so it may be a little different than my previous analysis where I read the story first and went back.
If you’re a Michael Afton fan I highly recommend this. Also, there’s possibly some insight into William Afton, Mrs. Afton, and Henry too, so it’s worth a skim.
Pg 144 '...a place thirty-some years forgotten' Just reconfirming FNAF 3 is 30 years past *one* of the FNAF closings, presumably FNAF 2 location.
Pg 145 "The whole building was giving him [Hudson] a headache." FIX THE VENTILATION BRUH
Pg 148 '...they were able to use salvaged derelict equiptment original to the old pizzerias.' Another confirmation of something we heard from Phone Guy.
Pg 147 "How old are you?" "Twenty-three, same as you." I think this gives us Michael's age during FNAF 3.
EDIT: This kept me awake last night. Obviously this is impossible because he has to be alive for at least 10 years before 1983, BUT maybe its just reconfirming FNAF 3′s year? 2023?
Pg 149 "Hudsan's dad died and his mom married Lewis, a ridiculous balding man who wore plaid vests and smoked a pipe" Did... Did this book just seriously imply Mrs. Afton left William for Henry? Really? (Yes, there's differences; the husband is dead and the man wears plaid 'vests' but it seems very odd to include that detail. This could just have been the writer's own imagination, though.) I have seen this as a fan theory and 100% explains the jealousy aspect of William, but I can't help but kinda hate it. I think this is very important, though, and probably Scott's intention. "This horrible little man [Lewis]... would make Hudson's next ten years a living Hell" This REALLY intrigues me given the context I just went over. The text implies Lewis was fairly neglectful to our main character / Michael stand-in Hudson. Maybe I'm wrong and for some reason Mrs. Emily left and went to William? XD Haha, I'm reading too much into this page. Maybe I'll come back to this later. I figure it's more of Scott possibly including double-details (contradicting stuff with the same character that really applies to two, which has been something I heavily pointed out in previous anaylsis on this blog) Having said that, I'm going w/the former because I can't imagine Henry being abusive (neglectful yes, abusive no) and he's never been portrayed that way in official works like William has in the novels.
Pg 150 "Hudson began to screw up in class...a product of spending the night in fear that his stepfather [Lewis]... [would] beat him just for the fun of it." Ooof. Big confirm on William actually being abusive. Unless we stick with the Henry theory for Lewis (combined with Midnight Motorist Henry theory / alcoholic). "...near-daily beatings..." "his mom started taking pills to get through the day..." So, whoever Mrs. Afton is, she was definetly not paying attention. But then, most people married to serial killers either don't notice because of denial (like this) or because the killer is so manipulative / careful they can't notice.
"Barry, who had red hair and freckles..." Yo?! Is that a description of Fritz?! These friends in the story could be the other kids Michael knew's stand-in's, aka the two gravestones with names he used (Fritz and Jeremy), as shown in the checks for the games and FNAF 6. I've long figured Michael was probably friends with the victims--it makes them easier, although riskier, targets [for William]. The two friends are male, too, like Fritz and Jeremy. If you're curious about Duane's description (our stand in for Jeremy), it's "tight black shirt... muscles... black hair long enough for a glossy ponytail..." I'm not sure if this matches anything found in the novels or contradicts them, though. (The novels = TSE trilogy)
"And so it went... until the night of the fire." For context, this is before FF burns down. We're learning of Hudson's life from his close friends in childhood, his father's death, his mother remarrying, to his abusive stepfather, to his grades slipping to this line. This would be a new fire not seen/mentioned in the games...
Pg 151 "...go to Charlie's for a sundae..." Really. Really Scott. Just gonna use this name again. OK. I'm not even gonna discuss this because it's probably irrelevant. *This is confirmed on pg 158 to be an ice cream shop. No lore relevance aside the annoying name coincidences Scott loves to troll with.
"This is not... an advance into enemy territory, a fight with demons, or a descent into Hell..." Uh, what? What is Hudson talking about? XD I'm only noting it because it seems so out of place. He's probably talking about video games or something.
Another note, although I don't have a specific reference since it is mentioned off-hand many times, is that Hudson keeps referring to his "history" which is implied to have kept him from getting a well-paying job and a girl he's crushing on doesn't know this "history" which is good for him. Seems good old "Michael Stand-In" has done some jail time or something. Edit: On pg 154/155 the girl asks Hudson, "Did you do it?" Seems he may have killed his stepfather or been involved with something else just as bad. Edit 2: No, I was thinking too deep into it. This probably refers to Evan's death at Fredbear's. DUH.
Pg 156 describes an actual "prize corner" in FF! What am I even reading? IIRC this is in FNAF 3, too. So they just hand out these scary gift boxes to people that complete the attraction? (Hudson says he *would* have fun handing out the scary toys to kids when this location opens--kind of a bully thing to do, eh?)
"[Hudson] avoid[ed] glancing in any of the mirrors..." I'm only pointing this out because it could be reference to one of two things. 1) We know because of one of UCN's music tracks, William has a fear of his reflection. Michael probably shares this trait, especially since 2) after Ennard and all... and later on pg 157 it also says, "he never wanted to face: himself" Sounds like guilt, my guy.
Pg 157 "blonde hair... blue eyes..." Hudson shares an eye color with Michael. It's possible Michael had blonde hair as a child and it changed to brown (it's common, something I personally went through being technically blonde/ blue eyed myself)
"He [Hudson] knew from personal experience that toys could turn from fun...to torture ina heart-beat" Fairly self explanatory. Either Hudson's worked at a creepy location before or he doesn't like remembering Fredbear's.
*checks how much is left.* There's still 35 pages (not counting back/front) left of this... This is gonna be a lot of notes.
Pg 158 Hudson doesn't have a car. Poor Mike, probably having to walk everywhere. Especially as a corpse.
Pg 160 This page describes many physical issues Hudson has that prevents him from entering the Navy, all from the abuse of Lewis. Obvious paralell to Michael becoming an undead [because his father sent him to CBPR indirectly causing his condition]
Pg 161 "How's your granny, Hud?... ...Is she still alive?" "I don't think she can die." Does anyone in the Afton family really 'die'? XD
Pg 162 These few pages discuss Hudson's grandmother. She's described as "a seer who claimed to know the future... ...wore big men's plaid flannel shirts with baggy jeans" Um, more plaid / flannel? AGH. STAHP. Lowkey, I would totally headcanon my Aunt Jen like this, though.
Pg 163 "Hudson's mom... the way she was before Hudson's dad had died... never... particularly warm and fuzzy... but... effiencient and responsible..." More about Mrs. Afton, so that's kinda neat.
"Hudson's dad was fun and attentive." There's a good Dad in this series?
"Unfortunetly, he also struggled with mental illness." "invisible low points" (Pg 164) Kinda reminds me of how Henry is described after Charlotte's death in the books.
Pg 164 "When Steven got himself into a bad deal that cost him his small business... he'd taken his life." Oh, it is Henry! SMH. Way to use confusing paralells. So, from our understanding thus far, Hudson's real father, Steven, is our Henry stand-in. His step-father despite being described similar to Henry, is actually our William stand-in. Fair game, Scott.
Pg 164 "...he [Hudson] was locked into a supply closet..." Oh shit, you guys. So, let me go on a tangent here, because this IS important! I just watched a retrospective on Sister Location and FNAF 6 earlier and one theory for Midnight Motorist was the person in the chair was the mother and the kid was Michael. I think this little line may confirm that. In fact, the story may be the key to figuring things out. Obviously, the line is a paralell to FNAF 4's scene in which Crying Child was locked in the supply closet of Fredbear's. I know some people, including Matpat, believe[d] CC was Michael, and in this book's context, it sort of works. This does contradict Step Closer and 1000 other things that make Michael the older brother, but maybe it's hinting at MM? Abusive stepdad (possibly Henry... maybe William is gone at this point), checked out Mom (hey, grey couch lady with Foxybro's font). IDK, but its definetly something to think about.
Pg 165 Lewis is mentioned as calling Hudson "nothing" and saying "you're nothing" on several occasions on this page. Just more abuse, for those accurate fanfic writers like me. Also I kinda wanna watch Morel Orel again. Yall know my fav character is Clay. Yall know.
"You're smoke." <-- Lewis / The text later reads, "...there was some irony, given what eventually happened." BRUH. Why did your stepdad die in a fire? :V TELL ME.
"When his family's house burned down at the end of his senior year..." Huh. Is there a fire we don't know about in the game-verse? Could this explain what happened to the FNAF 4 house before MM house?!
"...it purged Hudson of Lewis and his mother." MRS. AFTON BURNED ALIVE, TOO? Bruh. I can't with this story.
The text later describes the fire is concluded to be man-made and Hudson was blamed for it. Can't say if this ties to Michael, but it IS interesting... TBF, there is a small paralell to draw between Henry in FNAF 6 and his history of suicide in the books, too.
Pg 166 "...this place's [FF] busted thermostat.." I just find this line funny.
Pg 167 "...after three weeks of keeping an eye on the place" Some more timeline context for FNAF 3. We know that Michael worked there a little while before we start playing the game thanks to one of the phone calls, IIRC, so this makes sense. If Michael was accused of [something] and also wanting to hunt down his father, then it makes perfect sense why he's working a dead end job at Freddy's over and over and over. Fun fun fun.
Pg 169 "He hated to think about a functional character [Foxy]" This line is in regards to Hudson not liking the set up of Pirate's Cove and Foxy's hook to scare people. Sounds familiar, don't it? (For Michael anyway.)
Pg 173 "Some big find is arriving tomorrow." SPRINGY BOI! COME ON BOOK, get on with the show?
Pg 176 "Granny was wearing a red-and-green plaid shirt and her baggy jeans." Nothing special, but it was specifically brought up twice. I'm kind of racking my brain trying to understand what the point of this character is outside of "woooo everything is haunted don't you know that" kind of character.
Pg 180 "...dropped the crate on the linoleum with a resounding thud." HEY. Poor Springtrap, just gettin' tossed around like the trash he is.
Pg 186 "If you weren't so stupid, I'd tell you more about it." Springtrap bringing the burn. =:)
"A voice with a burr-like rasp...hint of a Southern accent" I'm going to assume this is because it's Lewis probably in the suit in this story and not our old British lad.
"It's was Mr. Atkin's voice." THE MATH TEACHER? *goes back to check* 'The algebra teacher'. Okay...
Pg 190 Okay, so Hudson hear's Lewis' voice this time. Okay, I get it now. Springtrap in this kind of imbodies all of Hudson's old bullies, including the teacher. He also has PTSD, just FYI. IDK if anyone finds that important, but it's fairly obvious by the line "He wasn't in his bedroom. Lewis didn't just slam his head into a desk; his head had been slammed into the [arcade] game."
"Why did he hallucinate a scene from his childhood?" Oh, it's not PTSD, then. It's just the VENTILATION ERROR. lol Okay.
Just a note, as I'm reading through the more action-based stuff, I kind of feel bad for Michael if he had flashbacks like this guy. They're intense.
So, Lewis' voice finally comes out of Springtrap on Pg 213. There's that.
Pg 220 "You can just stay there [in his room]" Kind of a paralell to Midnight Motorist. Lewis is saying it to Hudson. I really feel like the kid in the MM game is Michael because of this story...
Pg 223 "Heat purges. Fire heals." I'm sure that's Henry's life motto.
The ending was stupid, but most in these stories are. Hudson is hallucinating and is implied to have burned himself alive in FF's oven. Meh? The first half of this one is A TRIP and a little insight into what I 100% believe is Michael's childhood. I think the saddest part of it all is that we never got Springtrap speaking to Michael in FNAF 3--and if it's ever remade I hope we get more of them interacting.
