Ted rant bc I haven't done one in a moment and I have to uphold my status as #1 Ted enjoyer and enthusiast

I still claw at the walls and floor every time I see Ted's character dumbed down or simplified (IT'S FINE IF IT'S FOR JOKES BUT LIKE... I'm worried some of you are serious when you start saying all he did was use women..... did we read the same backstory.........)

I feel like a lot of his backstory and how he GOT to the point of essentially being a full-time playboy just gets. overlooked. Like he didn't just wake up one day and decide to scam women NO!! It was a "choice" made after an awful childhood!!! And after pretty much getting groomed!!! I put choice in quotation marks because he literally didn't have even a high school education so he could either slave away on his family farm until he died (he already spent his ENTIRE childhood working for his family!!) OR he could use the skills he was taught over the 5 years he spent with that now dead rich woman!!! Like what would you choose if we're being honest???

To be clear, it doesn't excuse or defend his actions but like I am BEGGING for ya'll to just. at least make an effort to put yourself in his shoes. yeah idk maybe the guy who's been using his body as a sex object for rich older women since he was 19 might have a warped view on sex!!!! Maybe that explains why he's confused and upset when he doesn't get any "return" because it's always been transactional for him!!!! Crazy thought ik!!!!

again it does not excuse or defend anything but looking into his backstory can at least help you understand what his likely mental reasoning for everything is rather than just dumbing him down to a misogynistic asshole. Ted has LAYERS and you WILL look at them! GRR!!! Ted doodles to accompany this (my mildly altered design for him)

I haven't drawn him and Aubrey together in a hot second so have them actually liking each other hehe I love Ted you guys don't get it YOU DON'T GET HIM LIKE I DO!! RARGH!!

I love the 7 degrees of separation theory because it means that with the right route you can connect anything to anything else with at least 1 degree of separation and at most (usually) 7 degrees of separation

this also means that canonically through a chain of events bive from regretevator could’ve hid somewhere in robot 64 or make a cake back for a seconds, or if we wanted to go a little further, bive could’ve had a hiding place somewhere in tales of tanorio because regretevator-> pressure-> the haunt Roblox-> doors-> tales of tanorio

but another route I took made it so that you could use tower heroes as a connector to doors or a connector to make a cake or a connector to robot 64

…lies in that field in my mind, with these flowers.. though he did stab me, it was almost quaint hearing those simple desires of his. Wanting a body, so that he could dip his hands in cool water, so that he could play the piano and… ahem. Well, that third one need not be mentioned. That can, eh, stay between us.

Thank you, I’ll put them right next to mini AM. I think he’ll like them. Maybe when the big guy comes by again I’ll even give him one. He’ll shred it but it’s the thought that counts I suppose.

(ooc; I’ve decided to color mini AM’s name in blue as to not confuse him with the real thing. Also I had to look up fuchsias so I hope I drew the flowers you were thinking of! Also I LOVE THE RADIO DRAMA GRAGARHAGRAG IT’S MY FAVORITE ADAPTATION ^_^)

A very experimental art for me, i want to try out some new style. ihnmaims radio drama got me in a chokehold and possessed me to draw this.

Also I'm giving Ted zero gyatt cus that man did not deserve it.

Note :

- the binary translates as "HATEHATE" on repeat.

- the pair of punchcode tapes representing AM's talkfield, are from the original short story. The left one is "I THINK, THEREFORE I AM" and the right is "COGITO ERGO SUM".

Chat did you know I can actually do au work and not just procrastinate???

Some info for Ted, specifically pertaining to my “Human” AM AU. (Some of these are headcanons I hold for the character in general though lol) sorry for any typos it’s a long post and I’m tired 🙏

While Ted remains in the most pristine physical condition in comparison to the rest, his mind is in a constant state of fear and paranoia. AM has kept him in such good condition to feed into the general paranoia of “Everyone here hates me because I’m the least affected, they’re going to do something horrible to me oh my god they’re gonna hurt me” that Ted possess. Each of the five is his own personal experiment, Ted’s experiment boils down too “how paranoid can I make this pathetic man?”

He has deep sunken eye bags from not sleeping out of fear of what the others would do to him. He has scars, bruises and open wounds on his lips from biting them all these decades, and his fingers are in a similar state from him picking at them anxiously. The soles of his shoes are even more worn down compared to the others, due to his slow pace, his running from the group, and his pacing in circles while mumbling paranoid rambles to himself.

Some of the 5 were jealous of Ted at the start, but after seeing how quickly his mind slipped that jealousy quickly faded to pity and mild concern.

Ted’s past is what really contributed to him being the most paranoid about Ellen, he always fears that she’ll use him, that she’ll lull him into a false sense of security so the others could harm him. Ellen of course would never do this but Ted doesn’t know that. Thus, he’s the most far removed from the only one there that might be able to comfort him. Listen, him getting groomed by an older woman in his backstory doesn’t really help his view on women as a whole- (srsly tho WHY did an older woman go for a 19 year old Ted 😭 I DO NOT CARE if she’s rich get her AWAY FROM HIMMMM!!!)

Small side note- he has a handful of anxious stims, lip biting, skin picking, pacing, talking to himself, if he’s being particularly overwhelmed (usually by one of the five) he’ll flap his arms/hands spastically, he’s even pulled out a few handfuls of hair but that habit died out after the first or so decade.
