Also I don't trust anyone that thinks shigaraki is an entirely hateful character. Like yes, he's obviously hateful towards a lot of things LOL. But he's shown he cares for those that support him multiple times

He just doesn't show it in the way I think people *expect* him to. But he cares quite a lot. I find it even more endearing that it's clear that he cares for the members of the league without having to say it. We LOVE a king who knows actions speak better than words.

I also really don't think he's incapable of having a partner? A lot of people would say it's out of character (which would be true for earlier seasons maybe?), but I think the reason he doesn't have any feelings like that for people is

1.) he had no idea of what a good relationship looked like growing up. he was 5 when everything happened. And even if he didn't accidentally kill his family?? His dad was abusive and emotionally unavailable. If he had led a "normal" life, it would've been incredibly hard to unlearn what he was taught love was. I think his mom would've been the only reason, if she were alive, that he would know what love and connection felt like, had they not died.

2.) no one (to my knowledge. I haven't read the manga), has really complimented him. Told him he was pretty. Said they were proud. Even if someone did compliment him looks wise, no one has pointed out good qualities he has (at least up until the league regarding positive traits he has (personality, leadership qualities, intelligence). And even then, one of the first things he heard from dabi was an insult to his face. I love dabi but that still makes my eye twitch 🙃)

I'm not saying praise, validation, or compliments would fix everything. But ohmygod. If someone would just be genuine and tell him that they believe and support his successes, or listen and talk to him like a human, it'd probably send him into a different, slightly healthier mindset.

One reason I absolutely love the friendship/relationship between spinner and shigaraki. He just needs some verbal support and someone who listens (me too LOL). He deserves so much idc. No just spinner either.

I'm a shigaraki supporter first, and a human second🙂‍↕️. Also I do apologize if some of my I formation doesn't seem very correct, it's been a while since I've watched it, and I do not read the manga 🥲. Even if some of my facts don't stand though, I am a very firm believer that with more attention or someone completely loyal, would make him happy. I mean it was pretty much proved he loved attention and wanted supporters more than anything in season 2(?) I think. Anyways, I love my boy. If shigaraki has no supporters, I'm deceased LMAO

Music Taste:

I like to think Tomura listens to metal and heavy metal music such as: Slipknot, Metallica, Rammstein, etc. I do like to think he listens nu-metal music as well. (ex: KoRn, Static-X, Nine Inch Nails, etc.).

I feel like Tomura would secretly love pop music from the 2000's or like emo music from that era, it's mostly like MCR. It's hard to imagine him listening to crunkcore or scenecore stuff. I'm open minded with it.

If Tomura has a gf (s/o) he would be happy to share his selection or taste in music with you, he enjoys sharing his interests with the person he truly loves.

Tomura does still wear his usual outfit which consists of his long sleeve v-necked shirt and black pants that reveal his ankles. In his downtime or whenever the LoV doesn't have anything going on, he chills around base in a casual t-shirt and sweats.

If you're wondering.. yes, he wears band t-shirts sometimes. I like to think his most favorite one is Slipknot not only does he like the music/band but likes the shirt designs.

I don't really see Tomura being one to head bang to the music he plays, I like to think he uses this genre of music as a sort of stress reliever, if that makes sense? I do the same thing so.. ya lmao.

Aside from just metal music, I think Tomura would listen to vaporware or some type of synthwave music. Perhaps some 80's pop and rock.

If you and Tomura are cuddling he would most likely put on something more calm and relaxing to fit the mood between the two of you. It wouldn't be much of a good idea to play metal while trying to unwind and cuddle lol.

If Tomura has wireless earbuds or even wireless, he would definitely want to share his earbud with you, again I think the man would want to share his music taste with you and only you. Tomura knows you won't judge him for his interests on anything and he loves you for that, heh.

*Dumb Thought: but if you have a driver's license since y'know Shiggy can't drive because of his quirk or maybe he can, idk. If you're on a drive together, you'll let him play music. Shiggy loves playing DJ in the car. It makes him feel special.

i'm gonna say it. i don't think tomura was ever an actual manchild. stick with me here for a minute okay. imaging growing up only really knowing one father figure, and he tells you the world will be yours, but you need to be strong enough and cruel enough to handle the world, and afo makes him use his quirk for whatever he wants and praises tomuras destruction. imagine that man telling you that this one specific man is responsible for all your pain and suffering, if it weren't for this man your father wouldn't have hit you, you wouldn't have been locked out and hurt when your quirk manifested and you wouldn't have killed your family if it weren't for your grandmother choosing him, intentionally leaving out his own involvement. THEN imagine that man telling you yes, here is the key to killing the man that has caused you so much pain, ruined your life completely, i wasn't able to kill him myself but this will. and you break into the highest guarded school in the country full of pro hero's successfully without raising any real red flags, find a place where he will be away from most other students to attack him, all for him not to even BE THERE??? i'd act like that too actually. also like. from how tomura is shown in the next few seasons, i wouldnt have put it past him to have intentionally made plans to keep the students away from the actual fighting, there's no way he didn't know all he had was a bunch of low level thugs, but that didn't matter because he was only there for all night and he and kurogiri could handle themselves. he could have intentionally made it so that the kids would go against the easy fighters, away from the actual fighting, kurogiri could have just as easily warped them into the main plaza with the huge monster and the man with the most dangerous quirk of them all, even with eraserhead there, tomura only ever engaged with them when they interrupted his plans. once again i'd also kinda be pissed at not only the extra people for being So easy to defeat barely putting up an actual fight, but the fact that the students i had intentionally made sure were out of the way are rushing into the action to stop my plans!!! like i feel like it's a reasonable reaction for your first big mission from your super manipulative guy who's dad basically who has promised it would go well and that you'd both have your revenge and put so much time and effort planning everything perfectly because god knows afo wouldnt have cared ab sending kids into action, and as soon as you get there it all falls apart. BECAUSE HE DIDNT EVEN COME. DIDNT EVEN COME TO HIS FUCKING JOB AS A TEACHER??? AND I GET FUCKING SHOT AFTER MY PERFECT PLAN WAS RUINED BECAUSE OF ONE DECISION!!!! So I have shigaraki brainrot. So bad LOL. And I'm a huge fucking simp so I would like to say some things about my (our) mans. Before I do tho y'all should know that my therapist made my love for shigaraki so much worse because I very briefly talked about him while we were talking about coping mechanisms for PTSD flashbacks (long story LOL)

ANYWAYS-

I know he's just a character, but this is Tumblr and if I wanna babble about nonsense then I think this is the place.

I want to talk first about how it still rubs me the wrong way sometimes when people make fun of his skin and "crusty-ness". I think a lot of people forget he has a skin disorder (excoriation disorder). Before AFO his mom put (what looked like to me) prescribed ointment and medications for his itching.

I mention this because so many people act like he just... looks like that because of bad hygiene or something?? And it's not. He has a medical condition that he can't properly take care of because he doesn't *exactly* have the resources for that.

Speaking of hygiene, I see lots of people say that he probably smells (even in headcanons for fics), and while he probably doesn't have an entire hygeine routine, I'm sure he at least bathes because his hair is??? So fluffy?? LOL. Because I've had hair his length before (in the beginning of the manga/anime), and let me tell you, unless he's just that perfect (I mean he is, but not my point), he would have to wash at least semi frequently to keep his hair from getting oily and flat. And that man has FLUFF.

His hair has a mind of it's own.

It does get flat/oily in later seasons, but he's outside a lot and most likely doesn't have anywhere to shower like he probably did in the beginning seasons.

My brother actually has issues with dry and itchy skin as well and one of the most common things he does to relieve the itch is to shower and moisturize, but no amount of proper hygiene is going to fix shigaraki's scarring.

I will admit I havent finished the recent seasons or am up to date with the manga, but I still stand by what I said. I feel like y'all are too harsh on this man's looks (especially before the "glow up"). Again, I know he's fictional, I just wanted to write about it because I'm bored and don't have much better to do lol. He's been my favorite character since highschool and I'm 21 now:'). I think I will defend him until I die tbh lol.

I thought I might try to do some writing while I'm still sick. I'm still dealing with my swallowing issues, I'm not sure what is happening. I remember being sick with a cold and I didn't get over it after 3 weeks. I'm being seen by my main doctor soon again. I haven't eaten in a week, whenever I try it's like my throat won't let me eat or swallow any liquid fully like how I did before. I'm unsure if there's anything going around but.. I just want to be better soon. I am trying to hydrate and eat soft foods but.. I don't know what to do. I haven't drawn in so long now too.

Once Tomura starts noticing that his s/o has been acting off, he starts to think he has done something wrong or you're unhappy with him. Tomura would ask you to come to him like he always asks you, he mostly asks you to come over to him because he wants to be close with you. Sit you on his lap like the little princess you are to him, this time you would deny his offer and instead saunter slowly to the bedroom you two shared, that bedroom being his, he had moved you into with him so he can be closer with you. Tomura would sit at the bar for quite awhile until deciding to head back to his room to see what was going on with you. As he was walking to his room, he noticed the door was still open and once he walked in, Tomura would see you on the floor instead of the bed, you were face down and weren't able to get up or move.

Tomura panicked and carefully helped you up, he noticed your face was flushed, sickly pale and once he gently placed you down on the bed, he would carefully place a few fingers on your forehead. Just as he thought.. it was hot to the touch. 'What am I going to do?' Tomura thought to himself while pacing back and forth in his bedroom. Tomura would quickly walk out of the room and insist on asking Kurogiri for help, Tomura is not very well educated when it comes to taking care of anything including himself, you had gone out of your way to help him take care of himself. Tomura loved when you'd help him wash his hair, put soothing ointment on his skin and just pamper him. Kurogiri was surprised to know the leader was in a panicked state and asking for help on what to do with you and he would eventually tell Tomura all of what to do to help you out and to restore your health to how it once was before.

A few hours had by, you woke up in Tomura's bed with a cooling rag on your forehead and a light blanket was draped over you. You noticed your clothes had been changed to the cute little night dress you were for pajamas, you were groggy, dazed and dizzy. Removing the rag from your forehead, you'd look over at your boyfriend he had been propped up right in his gaming chair arms crossed as his head slumped down, he had been asleep. "Tomu.." you weakly said, you pulled the covers off and tried to get out of bed, the creaking of the bed had caused Tomura to wake up and look over at you. He saw you try to weakly get out of the bed you two shared "y/n! No!" Tomura spat out, getting out of his chair and grabbing you setting you back down on the bed. "Y/n, you need to get some rest, you can't be getting out of bed." You were confused why he didn't want you out of bed "I'm fine Tomu.. please-" you were cut off by Tomura, "y/n I saw you passed out on the floor, you didn't even make it to the bed. You're ill, let me take care of you, please." Tomura said, holding your hand with his gloved one he used to never wear them but ever since you came into his life he has them on a lot more nowadays. He can't lose you, he fears dusting you. "Let me have Kurogiri prepare you some soup. Drink some water too, you need to hydrate yourself." He says reaching out to give you a bottle of water, he feels your forehead again, it was warm but not as hot as it was before "I'll also recool your rag, you aren't as hot as you were before which is good."

"I'm not as hot as I was..?" You said, confused.

"that's not what I meant, y/n.." Tomura says to you, "you're gorgeous in my eyes, even when your sick. You were running a fever and it seems to have gone down. Now please rest, let me take care of you until you're better princess." Tomura kisses your forehead and prepares to walk out of the room.

"Thank you Tomu.." you tell him, getting comfortable in bed again. "I love you"

"I love you too"

He says back, closing the door behind him.

My writing isn't the best but.. I'm scared of what's going on with me. Tomura is my comfort character.. I just want to write or draw him right now.. I just want to be okay.
