Recap: after Fletcher sheds a single crocodile tear or whatever about his dead student (beautiful player, so sad how he couldn’t handle the immense and all-consuming pressure), he ritually tortures his drummers to replenish his lifeforce.

Thus ensues a slur-a-thon in which the worst he can say about Ryan is that he’s Irish, something something pot of gold, which is hilarious in its own right, and I will come back to that one day. But also he calls Andrew a “worthless Hymie fuck.”
Let’s assume that he’s not guessing and that he’s right. Not about Andrew being worthless because he’s worth twelve of you, Malfoy but about Andrew being Jewish.
I am just curious. How did this come up? Neither Andrew nor Neiman is a dead giveaway, nor is Miles Teller’s face. I have to believe he wouldn’t be dumb enough to tell Fletcher this after the smallest bits of information on his parents were used to publicly humiliate him. Is it on a student record that Fletcher could see? It’s possible. Maybe. But no, wanna hear my take? The vision I see in my mind?
Fletcher was up at two in the morning in his jammies with a glass of red wine, Googling his students for dirt, as he does, because he’s a bitch. And the only relevant items he found when Googling Andrew’s name were 1) a half-heartedly maintained Facebook page [last post: September 2013], 2) some no-detail pieces listing him in various high school jazz band performances, and 3) the announcement of Andrew’s bar mitzvah on the synagogue website.
And because Miles’s graduation pic has been floating around recently, here’s a visual aide. Just imagine it’s a yarmulke instead of a grad cap:
Anyway, this concludes tonight’s edition of insanely specific headcanons, thank you for your attention.
In honor of Xander Mobus' 31st Birthday, I got this and welp, let's get ready to celebrate his Birthday, complete with this and welp, have a Happy 31st Birthday to him!

Do you notice any differences between boxing and MMA fans? As i've watched more boxing recently I've encountered boxing fans on Twitter and forums and I can see that a strong sense of nationalism is there, the dismissal of history to get behind a hype train(reactionary), Though I feel as though boxing fans are more fragmented. This means some people are fans of certain fighters and weight classes and just disregard others in a way I have seen really in the UFC. I'm curious what you think the differences are between them.
There are different types of boxing fans just like there are different types of MMA fans. Lots of reactionaries or casuals who dismiss history of things that aren't easily presented to them. Look at how dismissive a lot of boxing fans were of Usyk and Inoue until they beat AJ and Fulton and compare it to how dismissive UFC fans are of non-UFC fighters. There are fans super dedicated to preserving the history of both sports. There are fans who only care about what's going on now. MMA hasn't quite gotten to that time where we're wondering if the current best heavyweight in the world could hang with Fedor yet like boxing fans do with Ali and Tyson, but we'll likely get there someday.
As for general differences I've noticed?
I agree with you that the decentralized nature of boxing leads to people being more fans of certain fighters rather than the sport as a whole. Like, there's a decent chance an avid Terence Crawford or Canelo fan has never seen an Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury fight while I doubt most people who have watched one UFC champion have never seen others. The really funny part is that you'll have fans of like the 5 top P4P guys being dismissive of the other fighters' accomplishments out of straight ignorance and disrespecting the sport in the process.
I think that also attributes to boxing having more tribalism in it. There is an established boxing scene in almost every country with there being ATG fighters and world champions from like every corner of the planet. Plus boxing's long history of mixing with politics and political movements. There's a lot there. For as much as MMA is an international sport, the UFC is an American business. If Jan Blachowicz had won a world title in boxing, you bet your ass he would have defended it in Warsaw. If Tom Aspinall were a boxer, he'd probably never leave the UK after winning the heavyweight title. There's also just a lot less casual race science being thrown around by MMA fans than there are in the worst parts of boxing online discourse.
I think your average boxing fan tends to be older, though I think there has been an influx of new boxing fans thanks to guys like the Pauls, Ryan Garcia, and other big social media figures. But if you go to a boxing card at like the Hulu theater or the Barclays, you'll see what I mean. It's a lot of guys in their 50-60s. In MMA, I think you get a lot of guys in their 20s-40s. And you can tell they are young because they are chugging beers while jumping up and down screaming at like 7pm. I think this is also reflected in the fact that the online community for MMA is generally much larger than for boxing.
MMA fans are more obsessed with boxing than the other way around. Real little brother complex.
But again, there are different types of fans across both sports.
THIS! This tag game seems so fun! Made by the amazing @ronald-speirs!

Do you make content for any fandoms, if so; what sort of content?
Uhhhhh I make memes and occasionally fanart? I wouldn't classify this as content but when I'm really into something I take some aspects of it for my own world, so I can always keep it close to me, even if the hyperfixation faded a bit with time
Favorite actor/actress and your favorite film of theirs?

specialist literature such as? let's say we've exhausted Heilbroner and other intro stuff, what else is worth digging into from your perspective
sorta depends on what specifically you're looking for but in general i tend to like a lot of what you might call the "revisionist" historians. people like keith tribe, terence hutchison, donald winch etc are great at a more general level (although each has their focuses, for sure). tribe is still churning stuff out but the other two are dead, so although they have real strengths some of the literature has moved on without them.
otherwise ive been going through ryan walter's before methods and models which has been super eye opening for me while also basically affirming my prior belief that what we usually call "political economy" in its heyday was just a form of parliamentary debate with explicit concerns surrounding whatever the bank of england was doing. terry peach's interpreting ricardo seems to be a good corrective that i can work with, but i'm also about to revisit ricardo's principles with a group (after we finish smith) so it'll be interesting to see how a lot of my more recent readings map onto the primary sources. i'll likely be posting through it regardless.
in a big way, i'm trying to just chart a course through the history of econ which doesn't have to repeat the mistakes of the 20th century debates, especially re: ricardo. i disagree with sraffa, mirowski, and the marshall/hollander readings which tend to dominate so much of the literature and color our understanding of "classical economics", all of which have consequences for how we would necessarily have to read marx.
speaking of marx, i of course think heinrich's science of value and the biography will be crucial for how we ought to think about the CoPE, but allen oakley's work is probably the only available work in english of its kind which attempts to grapple with his sources in a meaningful way which gets at his successes in thinking through political economy as a discipline (although the works show their age, all being written in the 80s). a step removed from all of this (although closely related to tribe) is the anglo maoish post-althusserian reception of marx's CoPE from people like hindess & hirst, who spent a lot of time seriously thinking about marx and the limits of his analysis. i don't think they got everything right by any means, but they were able to deliver some serious blows to plenty of the marxists on the ground at the time and in some ways i think that they initiated the kind of crank project i see myself as contributing to.
