Props to Marisha Ray and Laura Bailey for this successfully portrayed platonic female friendship.
[ID: A digital illustration of Laudna and Imogen from Critical Role. Laudna has one hand under Imogen’s chin, and is using the other to apply eye makeup to her. Imogen has her eyes closed, and is smiling happily with her hands on Laudna’s lap. They are sat with their legs together. End description.]

Icons of the humans of the main party, in their Were forms!
Along with Zahalkro, these four make up the main team we'll follow in Stars Below. In order, they are Madeline, Target, Charlotte, and Atlas. Madeline is the leader, Target is currently the best human at psionics as well as a good case study for the Were phenomenon in the first place, Charlotte is best at being a weapon-wielding brute, and Atlas... can drive a sharkmarine.
Charlotte is Zahalkro's Tether, and Target and Atlas also seem to be Tethers for missing Vani.

Do all tethers eye colors match their corresponding vani's tanja or is that just a fun thing you did with Stars Below?
They always match (via the species' eye rules, at least) because of the soul-sharing stuff. Eyes are the deepest symbol in Keno, so it's gotta match to represent that

Shamrock
...Yep. That's just a normal house cat. With very striking eyes!
What could be so special about this strange-eyed cat? Have you ever seen a cat with red eyes before? What are the chances of a red-eyed cat?
Shamrock got their name because they seem to be a rather lucky cat. Always getting into trouble and subsequently out of it without a single scratch of damage! And things seem to always just HAPPEN around this cat.
What are the odds that the aliens would take interest in this simple little house cat, and not treat it like all the other cats?

How would a Vani typically handle a Holloan Omni as a Tether? Just wondering since I was considering how a scenario might play out but keep getting stuck up on the Hivemind aspect being way too much of a risk to just keep the tether captured and providing complications in talking them over to the Vani's side.
their hivemind isn't a typical one, they aren't aware of what all other Omni are doing all at once. they can "ping" others mentally, but they must manually do so. not all Omni like to send pings out, nor can they send the most coherent or legible pings when they aren't at their 100%.
it may be a little more tricky, but not anything stranger than other species. think of them as having a built-in phone. humans are just as dangerous to have as Tethers when you think about things like phones!
