This song has always been a mix of Xeph and Strife and Scar for me, but I’ve recently been really enamored by the thumbnails that Tevela’s been doing for Strife’s newest YouTube series, so I was inspired to try to draw one in my own style! This is the one specifically that really inspired me :]

I can’t WAIT to see where they take this storyline!

okay so as much as we would all love to see william “vampires aren’t real” strife get punked by a fae live and on camera... what if it happens offscreen.

what if tevela comes back from one of her trips expecting more Nonsense in her yard and it's quiet. the machinery is overgrown and rusted, like it's been laying dormant for years. there's no motion to the conveyors, the waterwheels spin uselessly, kudzu has overgrown half the blast furnaces and tangled up inside the crusher. the trees have grown through even the gardens, pushing up against the house itself with their roots. 

 "...strife?" tevela's voice hangs empty in the air, quiet, swallowed up by the sound of nature almost pressing in around her. no sign of him. 

 "oh, did you want something?" a voice that is decidedly not her horrible, horrible roommate responds. she turns. a short figure with a crown of tree branches and eyes that glint like danger, smiling at her like nothing's wrong. 

"you're not strife." 

they laugh. "well, i am now, if i want to be. he gave me his name, after all."
