The Wheel of Fortune in Reverse: When has your character felt their life was no longer under their control?

Now, for Alia, she felt like a lot of her life was out of her control. She was put into the shrine when she was very young. And one hand that gave her a lot of stability, but it came at the price of individuality and control. Yes, her life had been planned out for her, regardless of what she wanted, but she never had to worry about her future, because it's written out for her.

A situation where she felt like she could have lost everything, and lost total control, was dealing with TK after the late queen's (your mother's) death. Let's just say,,, TK did not handle that well. And Alia wasn't sure if she could truly help TK, and she doesn't know if how she did help, was the right course of action.

Of course, we have the scenes in the book after everyone learns about the Gods having turned to demons. And that's when that "written out future" was shaken a lot. She felt and still feels like everything she did or ever will do, in the name of the beyond and the religion, that it is meaningless. And she yearns a lot for that stability back. She's currently floating in the open, without breath or break, and she needs an anchor. That will be further explored in chapter 10 however.
