Looking at me, you assume I’m a young woman in her early 20s. But, I am wearing jeans and my jean jacket, so what you don’t know is I’m actually Johnny Cade and Tex McCormick, simultaneously.

The thing is, there’s almost no Tex content being made, which led me to think the fandom was nonexistent. But every time I do make Tex content, a surprising amount of people come out of the woodwork to engage with it. Which leads me to believe we’re not as few as we assume, but the assumption we’re small in numbers leads us to not make content, which convinces everyone we don’t exist, and the cycle repeats.

All Tex fans are Outsiders fans, but not all Outsiders fans are Tex fans, if you know what I mean.

a/n: this is a little patchy sorry guys. i've got another two exams tmr and im shitting myself over it

He’s incredibly laid back when it comes to your relationship and is just happy to be around you. He just kinda follows along with what life throws at the two of you and rolls with the punches.

He’s got that southern, country boy charm; he’ll hold doors open for you, flashing you little grins, and give you his jacket if he notices you’re cold. He’s just a real sweetheart who cares about you deeply and isn’t all that ashamed of showing it.

He’s got so many little nicknames for you, such as “sweetheart,” “darlin’,” and “sugar,” and while they’re mostly said in a playful way, there’s always an ounce of softness behind them. 

He’s incredibly spontaneous when it comes to dates: one minute he’s taking you out to a field, the next you’re grabbing food at some local diner or something. He really doesn’t plan dates but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about them. 

He’s a big teaser and has a slightly mischievous side; he’ll make little flirty comments just to tease you and rile you up, grinning triumphantly once he catches you blushing. 

He’ll try to teach you to ride a horse. It might not go great, but it’s fun to him nonetheless and he spends the whole time goofing off and teasing you. 

He isn’t overbearingly jealous when it comes to you; however, he can be very protective but it a more chill way. If someone disrespects you, he’ll step up and defend you, making it clear that nobody messes with you while you’re with him. 

He’s very big on PDA; he loves holding your hand and lacing your fingers together on walks, or wrapping an arm around your shoulders. He’s always giving you quick little forehead kisses or cuddling up against you when he’s more tired. 

He’s incredibly thoughtful and will always remember the smallest things about you, so sometimes you dont even remember telling him. He’ll always bring you your favourite snack or drink and even your favourite song just so he can see you smile when he proves that he remembers.

When it’s just you and him, he can get pretty deep during conversations. There’s an almost philosophical side about him and some nights you both just sit up, having the best conversations for hours. 

He is your biggest cheerleader and supports you in everything you do. He hates seeing you stressed out or upset and will always try to lift your mood no matter what. He’ll tell you that life’s too short to be worried about the little things. 

In short, dating Tex is just fun. He brings a sense of excitement to your life, always acting spontaneously and loving you with everything he’s got <33
